Allright, kid.
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/os-x-mountain-lion/id537386512?mt=12
See the version? The whole .APP thing in the app store is in the 10.8.3 version, not 10.8.2 anymore.
That's my question, i can't use the program in first post with the .app that i've downloaded TODAY.

Then you can't install it kid. Simple. No 10.8.2, no MLPostFactor. I will be including a version check in MLPostFactorV0.2 so guys like you won't accidentally install 10.8.3 using MLPostFactor.

The reason?
OpenGL has been updated in 10.8.3, our existing patched OpenGL "works" but very very buggy. So its not recommended.

This works exactly like iOS jailbreak. Once you got the updated version, thats it, if something is patched, we need to figure out how to make it work again. So far we have no luck with 10.8.3, but will keep you guys updated.

Hello hackerwayne. First many thanks for your guide. It really works! But I have one little problem.
I am running Hackintosh on laptop ASUS Z99l. I have Intel Core 2 Duo processor, Intel X3100. I was running Lion 10.7.5 or some 10.7 (I dont remember). I have done all the work that you wrote in guide. So, I have created partition for install and partition for ML. My Hackintosh Lion was installed on MBR. When I was installing Mountain Lion, it was required a GUID (or GPT). So, I moved on GUID, intalled 10.8, deleted partition with installer. So I have two partitions, ML and Lion. But on GUID I was not able to load any system. So, I moved on MBR back. Set Lion to active and can load ML and it works perfectly. But when I set ML to active, system cant load. It stands on gray screen with apple. On Lion I have Chameleon 2.1 r2050 loader. I have installed same on ML, but result is the same.
I want to delete partition with Lion. But if I delete this, system will not load.
So, please, help me. I think there is two solutions. Delete Lion partition, Set "right" loader and system will works. Or second. Delete Lion partition, convert my disk to GUID and set loader.
Or this problem is not solveable and I must leave Lion partition and load ML with this?

Hope you can understand my problem and able to solve it.
Thank you.

This installation is for Genuine Mac products only. This site would be of great help to you, http://www.osx86project.org/. That being said boot up in Verbose mode and see where it stops. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1492 I believe when I had a hackintosh it wouldn't find the correct partition/ disk but that was a long time ago. Good luck, but I would defiantly check out the other site. Good luck

This installer SHOULD work with Hackintoshes. Try on a separate HDD by itself.

I am going to mess with this installer once I get my Lion 10.7.5 working perfectly :)

Followed the installation instructions and everything working great. The only thing I am missing is dual monitor support with my 7300 gpu.

Any possibility that dual monitor support for the 7300 could be added at some point?

If not, what gpu would be best for this installation?

Back to my 10.7 install until then.

THANKS!

Terminal Talk.

Hey Wayne dude, if you'd care to comment......

When looking at file attributes what does the '@' sign signify. For example in the following;

-rw-r--r--@ 1 root wheel 986272 15 Jul 2012 /System/Library/CoreServices/boot.efi

I don't see any repairs of that nature, but I'm not running 10.8 on unsupported hardware.

Well crap. How can I get this on my MacBook now? I don't have the installer on any of my Macs anymore. I just have the InstallESD. Also there is no way to download 10.8.2 officially anymore... Can't you just modify the installer to any ESD?

Or does it work to download the official 10.8.3 installer from the App Store and replace the ESD inside with the one from 10.8.2 - that would prove you bought it legally.

Question about X1600 and updating

When will the X1600 download be up?
Also in the future when there are updates, do we have to reinstall the whole system? Or is there a way we can update it normally?

No way you can update. Sorry. Or at least can update but have to apply our patch

Thank you for your very quick reply! Well, then why not write this onto the first post, so it's clear for everybody, that you can fix it that way. (if you have a legal installer and an install image)

----------

I am downloading the installer right now, so I will try on my MacBook as soon as I can.
If I install this before 0.2 comes out, will I have to reinstall in order to get the update or can I just patch my existing installation again? (with the 0.2)

WOW, so I installed this on my old 2007 MacBook and it absolutely flies! I've used your very early attempts to make it work a year back, and I can remember it really didn't work that great, but this here is pure awesomeness!
Not sure if this is true, but I have the impression that ML feels a lot smoother than Lion. I've had that sensation in the past on my 2011 iMac (my main machine), but I think it is even more the case on the MacBook. I haven't put it to sleep yet though, wasn't in mood for a kernel panic! LOL Can't wait for patch 0.2 though. Really thrilled by how well this works for a 0.1 beta. Also I hope there will be a fix for the networking, I use it a lot.

----------

Oh, btw. Can I delete the Lion and maybe the installation partitions? Or will I need these in the future? (For patching to 0.2 and up for example)

Seeing how you can find ML.app files out there for download that wouldn't prove anything. As is said, "if there is a will there is a way." The right thing to do would be to buy it though.

Yeah, there indeed is a way - I actually turned out using it. I found it simpler to find a copy of the App Store installer, than officially loading it from the App Store and then finding a 10.8.2 image to patch it. Though it worked for me, I won't post any links here.

The moral of the story: It does not prove a thing, it just makes it a little bit more difficult than just using any image.

You will need to keep the install partition to apply future patches. Or you can create it back later on
