Ok some "weird" thing happened here: just for fun i tried iMessage and... it works! I don't know if it's because I was beta tester a while ago or what... anyway it looks like it's working! Other iCloud features are working also.

I didn't import any setting like suggested in some other post.

In case I'm here to help :)

Me too, i dont migrate lion account, just setup icloud on first setup assintant, and all works, imessage, facetime, icloud, find my mac....

Do you have iCloud services working in other actually supported macs?

For me the answer is yes, they're running on other two supported macs.

Like i said earlier on. Its a hit and miss. If you have an existing account maybe it will work. If you need to register a new account/ don't have a supported Mac on 10.8. It won't work for sure.

No i do not have any mac supported.

Interesting.

----------

Right. To sum it up. MLPostFactor V0.2 Beta will fix the following issues:

1. KP on X3100 MacBooks when waking up from sleep FIXED

2. 7300GT, 7600GT Support ADDED

3. Bluetooth Not working. FIXED

4. iMessage, iCloud, FaceTime. Testing in Progress

5. mDNSResponder/Bonjour/Sharing. Not coming in V0.2

6. X1600 X64 Support No idea if we should launch it with V0.2

10.8.3 is still not supported at this point. The update bricked our patched OpenGL
Once we successfully launched V0.2 and if there are no other issues, we will launch V1.0 Beta.

Sounds good, I just installed this on a 24" white iMac with the 7600GT and it needs the update...

Any ETA on the release?
Hell I'd even be willing to beta test that beta (if you can just "patch" the install partition from 0.1 to 0.2) :D

P.S.: Is it normal to have some networking issues and that iSight doesn't work?
And another issue: it's impossible to repair disk permissions since "packages are missing".
What could be the problem?

Installed manually all the kexts and kernel from mlpostfactor on my hackintosh notebook with x3100 and 10.8.2. The OS boots up, resolution is fine, but I don't think QE/CI works because launchpad is as slow as without x3100 kexts and also vlc 32-bit reports QE is unsopported. The kernel mode is 32 bit. I also tried to install old 32-bit kexts for x3100 and got the same result. I think this is because of non-macbook computer :(

iSight works. Network = mDNSResponder issue.

Disk Utility issues will be solved in V0.2 also

So after reading way more pages than I cared to, please tell me if I'm correct on this:

My MacbookPro 2,2 is currently unsupported by MLPostFactor, and I need to wait until the .2 beta for support, correct?

Its not supported at the moment. We're ready to launch 0.2Beta, just waiting for more bug reports so we can solve it in a shot. Sneak peak below.

Just installed in Macbook Late 2007 X1300 and it works perfectly. No problems whatsoever during installation, iMessage working with google talk account and iSight working as well.
Really nice job.

Thanks!

A quick question for the upcoming MLPostFactor beta 0.2:

Can we:
1. Boot from an external Lion or ML.
2. Install MLPostFactor to another external partition.
3. Then boot it from the external partition.
4. And install ML to the internal partition

I personally prefer boot from an external drive and install ML from a pen drive. And then install ML to a completely empty internal drive. Thus I can get pain only at the start, and feel free forever. The instruction said pen drive not required, is it still an option?

Thanks Wayne, you are the best.

Did you try and fail before this success?

LionDisk Maker

Before reading this guide when OS X 10.8.2 was released I made a bootable disc using LionDiskMaker. In your instructions you said you must have The OS X Mountain Lion in your applications folder that is not possible for be me. Also I bought OS X 10.8.2 and I can't get 10.8.2 because its not longer on the app store I am screwed or can someone help me. Thanks Hack_Wayne your the best thanks. BTW here is a snapshot of the disc the disc is 10.8.2

Back to my mac requires network sharing which is not working right now :( Everything else hassle free! Just tried to login after the first boot and everything worked like in a supported mac

BTMM also requires a real recovery partition. Having not used this tool yet, I'm not sure if it creates one or not, but if it doesn't, this is also a major barrier. Even if bonjour/mDNS was working, this is also a requirement.

Not "Back to my mac" required recovery partition, but "Find my mac" required

Man, people... Come on! Read the thread and the instructions! It is unbelievable how many people keep asking the same questions over and over!

If you are too lazy to read this thread completely, DON'T START WITH THIS! Unbelievable.

See the version? The whole .APP thing in the app store is in the 10.8.3 version, not 10.8.2 anymore.
That's my question, i can't use the program in first post with the .app that i've downloaded TODAY.
