Guys!!!check Your Pre Order For 3g!!!apple Changes Shipping Method To Priority!

Ordered on 3/12. Mine says "priority".

I hope they announce the delivery date soon. When I placed the order I set it up to ship to work because I assumed it would deliver on a week day. I don't work on the weekend so if it is going to deliver on the weekend I want to switch it to home.

Priority for me too! As if the excitement couldn't build anymore...
 
keep checking. Mine was standard then suddenly changed to priority. Wish we knew what this really meant. :rolleyes:

This probably means FedEx. They don't like to drive out to "rural" areas, like where I live, so they take it to the nearest post office and then the post office takes it from there. This is totally irritating because it typically adds 2 days to the shipping time to something that was supposed to be priority when they could have just shipped it USPS in the first place. That's why I don't use FedEx.

I have 3 on order... there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the shipping types, other than the accessory type:

Mar-12 64GB 3G: "2-3 Day" Shipping (plus Apple Case - arrived)
Apr-06 64GB 3G: "Standard Shipping" (plus Dock - arrived)
Apr-07 32GB 3G: "Priority" Shipping (iPad only)
 
Mine is also Priority. Cool, I guess. I'm having mine shipped to my Montana address because there's no sales tax in Montana, so it'll save me $80. They'll have to then forward it to me, which will add two more days to the delivery time, but only cost me about $15.

Although I'm tempted to switch it to my regular address, I don't relish the idea of giving anymore of my money to the gov't.

Still Standard

I ordered mine on April 3, after I got my boss to agree to pay for it as I plan on using it for "business purposes". I'd love to see it go out this week, as I'm getting married next Sunday and would love to have a new toy to take on the plane for the honeymoon.
Besides, noting sucks more than to be gone for a week knowing there's a new shiny, lonely piece of electronics just waiting for you to get home.

For the sake of your marriage, I think it would be a better idea if you didn't get the iPad before the honeymoon will be remembered for how much time you spent on the iPad instead of with your significant other. :p

I really hope you've got better things to do on your honeymoon. I mean, my mouth is practically watering for the iPad, but somethings take priority. ;)

That's actually quite pathetic.
 
My 64gb 3G shows 2-3 day, so I have no idea if that's standard or priority, or somewhere in-between? There were two accessory items with this order that have already arrived, so I wonder if that has something to do with what it's showing for shipping?

Of course it does, but it's more fun to imagine that it means something is imminent :eek:
 
My Apr 3rd and Mar 12th orders both show Priority. I wonder if they will arrive on the same day? Apple issued refunds for people who paid for express shipping when the ipad was released a couple of weeks ago, maybe switching everyone's orders to priority is a preemptive measure to address complaints from people who paid for express shipping?
 
Just Changed

Mine just changed within the last couple of hours to priority. I first check when everyone started posting. Still said "Standard". Now, 3 hours later, Priority. I ordered by 64GB 3G on 3/26.
