If that foldable has a battery in each section of the phone, has an app that can play games from Steam and has a specially made bluetooth thumb joystick that connects to either side of the phone when unfolded, or someone developed Nintendo switch style joyconns for it, gamers will buy it.

While there is a lot for me to like here (RAM, Peak nits, 239g weight, multitasking approach, barely noticeable crease, overall size, fast charger in the box, etc.) I just can't buy a OnePlus phone for three reasons:

1. Chinese company
2. Past record of hardware and software issues
3. Probably the worst support in the game

I almost pulled the trigger just to give it a shot, but I know better.
Wow, how is the race of the company's owners a factor in your assessment?

folding phones are stupid and pointless. just stop.
And you promise to never buy a folding phone from Apple? Even if a bunch of family members and friends get one? Maybe you’re right and eventually the industry goes in a different direction (implants?), but I say always keep an open mind for everything including technology. Don’t just say it’s stupid and pointless until you have experienced that feeling after trying out what Apple may eventually offer.

Apple bezel defenders logic-

They prefer this:

Over this:

🤣😂🤣

I can't believe people diss on a marvel of engineering and technology just because it's made by a company other than Apple. This looks like it's from the future, a screen that freaking folds. If I had seen this even 5 years ago I would think this was CGI.

I was just making a point about the hold-ability of devices with thin bezels. People accepted Dynamic Island and a huge notch on iPhones with a much smaller screen than an iPad though.
There is a difference in how you hold the phone, which is why it can have much smaller bezels.

I think MKBHD pointed out in his review that his $1700 unit had some dead pixels after only a few weeks? If there's a folding phone to get, it's definitely not this one. :p

for one, competition is a good thing.
secondly, rather then differentiating the existing iPhone line more, add something that will find it's user base for sure and has the potential to win over new customers ...
Third, all those folks saying stupid, who ants one etc - stick to your iPhone slabs and let others do what they want...
