Kinda strange to take out the cameras when they are pushing new Final Cut live editing and such. Doubt many folks are using it to shoot but to have an all in one might have increased that chance.
I have a pro and love using it for videos and reading ! But I do want a mini I can take out to a coffee shop or just at the park. Can’t wait for the new minii want one really bad but i just know it'll sit on my desk unused for months just like every other ipad ive bought
currently on mini 6 and will upgrade to whatever the mini 7 is
So is your wallet compared to before you bought it.its so light compared to my M1. the screen is amazing, I love it
Citation please?Yes but the ECU only allows a top speed of 100 mph.
That would make it look prettier. But if you're working on a document, watching a movie, or scrolling through a website, wouldn't a smaller radius of cuvature (i.e., sharper corners) more closely match that content?Interesting that no one seems to mention that the corner radius of the display has increased a lot. Now it properly matches the device frame radius, unlike all the previous edge-to-edge iPads.

Then maybe Apple needs to make a whole new device that is thin and light and powerful like the iPad with macOS so people can actually do work.People who think the iPad needs to work like a Mac have totally missed the point of the device.

I tried Prefer Page Rendering Updates near 60fps (off) and Web Animations custom frame rate (on) followed by a force close of Safari, cleared browser cache and even a full restart but the 120fps test won’t show at all.Setting the feature flag in Safari on my M2 iPad Pro 11 works...120Hz in UFO test. What, exactly, aren't you having luck with?
The M4 chip is incredibly fast…
This is a great writeup. I am tired of people whining for macOS on iPad. It would be a cheap fix, not optimal at all. At the same time, iPadOS has so many issues. What we need is a better iPadOS, not macOS on iPad.iPadOS is still so limited compared to macOS, especially for multitasking and app functionality. Federico Viticci's recent writeup on the iPadOS basics that Apple gets wrong is well worth a read.

Which 120fps test are you referring to? The tests I see will tell you what fps your screen does. There isn't a specific "120fps test" that I've seen.I tried Prefer Page Rendering Updates near 60fps (off) and Web Animations custom frame rate (on) followed by a force close of Safari, cleared browser cache and even a full restart but the 120fps test won’t show at all.
I too am currently using the M1 12.9” iPP and the reasons I’m upgrading are battery life, primarily, followed by weight reduction then the matte screen. I use my iPP daily for both work and play and traveling with it, it really just needs to get me through a few additional hours each day. I‘ve seen one review of someone getting 16 hours of video playback from the M4 13”, which should mean my doing typical business work (emails, spreadsheets, presentations, photo work) should easily get me more than the 8-9 hours I currently get out of my battery. The added benefit of it being lighter and having a matte screen is frosting on the cake for me.I too am wondering if WWDC's iPadOS 18 presentation will yield some sort of major excitement, because I'm torn about getting one considering it has SO much power, and yet it's essentially large form factor iOS.
I have an M1 12.9" Pro, admittedly the only thing I major care about is the OLED display, but the mini-led display is hardly unpleasant to look at.
$1299 is hard to justify for just this, even though I really want to send for one to be delivered this afternoon.
thinnest wallet everSo is your wallet compared to before you bought it.![]()
I concur. Not sure why "the press' is so pumped about its light weight and thinness. Still a hefty tablet. But it is indeed a featherweight compared to my Samsung S8 Ultra. Now that'a a beast.I was at the mall today and saw it at the Apple Store. I couldn’t tell the difference between my current iPad Pro in all honesty outside of weight and size. The OLED for me wasn’t that noticeable. I wanted to upgrade but I just can’t justify the cost while also needing a new MBP. Nice piece of hardware but in no way shape or form worth $2K for my needs when you include the keyboard.
