Assign it to 'CMD-Click'

For the longest time it wasn't working for me with but then I realized that BTT didn't support three finger tap if 'three finger drag' was enabled in the trackpad settings.

Ahh right, thanks.

safari 6.0 kinda flaky, 5.0 was outstanding for me,

guys can you try to load this site:
http://www.spiegel.de

see if you can scroll? I can scroll fine in chrome and firefox. Also I have instances that safari cuts the content, and sometimes links are disabled, I also have instances that the domain is being jacked up by a site I previously visited?

Anyone having the same problem?

here's a sample of content being cut

Safari 6 is the perfect Mac browser. The only issue I have with it (if you can even call it that) is adblock plus doesn't exist for Safari and Safari Adblock doesn't block streaming ads in YouTube vids which are the most intrusive. This is the only area where Chrome still benefits. With adblock plus installed I can watch a full YouTube playlist without being disturbed by ads.

Chrome just looks ugly by comparison, doesn't have the smart zoom gesture and doesn't have the fancy animation for going back/forward. It's a tight toss-up at the moment but if it wasn't for that one little thing I wouldn't give Chrome a second glance on OSX.

okay whoever has a problem on safari 6.0 rendering, I fixed the issue by reinstalling flash and set let adobe update flash player automatically, seems it was having problem rendering flash content, that's why it was so slow for me

Any news with click2flash for mountain lion?

upon further inspection, it seems that the same problem I had described above is the same as this guy:

Safari 6 gets stuck; won't scroll or scrolls to show blank area

It seems the only people affected is people who enabled Developer Menu. The problem is Safari 6.0 enables uncaught exceptions by default!

Since not all pages are coded perfectly, (a lot of them actually especially with 3rd party ads). You'll have a not so desirable browsing experience when you have it enabled.

You just have to tick it off though for the pages to load normally.

Well...

Much as I'd like to be back with Safari, I'm going back to Chrome due to general weirdness with textareas in Safari, combined with a few other quirks.

The latest Chrome seems more than quick enough, and now that I'm running native res on the MBPR (i.e. 2880x1800) it is quite clever as it remembers the zoom setting on a site by site basis, so that web surfing (at least) needn't be a strain...

Safari is very fast, but scrolling is impossible! Even Google news is unreadable. Plus, RAM increases exponentially minute after minute without any reason.
So, switched back to Firefox.

Like the speed of the new Safari, but really dislike the interface. Have actually switched now to Firefox.

Being new to the Mac OS, I started with Safari under ML (I was using Firefox under Windows). It works pretty well but I also tried Chrome (after the Retina update) and I'm sticking with Chrome. I like being able to two-finger click on a bookmark to open a new tab. Doing CMD click in Safari requires two hands to surf the web.

I do like that Safari hides the tab bar when only when tab is open but I typically have more than one tab open anyway.

I'm having better luck with the auto-fill feature of Chrome as compared to Safari. I was using Roboform under Windows but I'm hoping to not use it on my new Mac.

i prefer chrome due to its syncing abilities to my other chrome browsers 9both on my iPad and windows.. i dont use safari on windows), but i had to download chrome and i had to say, Safari was pretty impressive. I was so impressed that i decided it would gain a position in my dock (i usually keep one or two apps, finder, and the folders/trash)

Safari is already my browser of choice, but I'm a little pissed off that they've removed Activity Monitor from the browser.

Chrome is my choice of browser mainly due to cross browser compatibility. The ability to search from the address bar initially made me switch (why did it take safari so long to get this basic feature??)

I'm using Safari now almost exclusively, but sometimes it seems to get really slow. The loading bar will just sit there as if it were doing nothing.

Does Chrome still have the unique ID used by Google for tracking everything you do? I like Chrome, but I distrust Google. Safari is a great browser but it lacks the whitelist-cookie features Chrome has.

Personally, Ive switched to Safari 6 almost exclusively under ML. I find its speed, fluidity in scrolling and zooming and better UI a much more pleasing experience than Chrome. For me Chrome seems to be slower and clunkier, is it just me? On Windows however it doesn't seem to have these issues. Also I must say the omnibar on Safari is a welcome addition and I find it more responsive than Chrome's, especially when going to previously entered urls.

i really tried hard to start using safari. its beautiful, fast and have nice gesture features.
but i still cant figure out how can i close an unselected tab with middleclick on the tab itself (without pointing to the tiny tiny cross).
also, wished safari could put tabs right on tab like google chrome. but yeah, if i could fix the middle click to open links in new tabs AND at the same time, close tabs, it would be enough for me to move to safari :(

I'm using Safari with a 2012 Macbook pro 13". Its simply beautiful. I have no laggy issues or speed issues. Everything is fluid and slick. Getting this Safari right is very important to Apple as the browser is pivotal to using the net properly so I know they will have done their best to make version 6 pretty close to perfection.

The issues people are having stem from older hardware I would imagine. But I have no issues here with anything. Pages load so fast, image rendering is top notch. I would urge all those on new hardware to embrace Safari as the software is made for the hardware.

I've left Google Chrome - sorry!

I really don't have a browser allegiance. For a while, Chrome was faster than Safari 5 for me so I used chrome on lion.

On ML though, it's a different story. Safari 6 blows away Chrome in terms of speed and UI (in my opinion). If I have to use flash however, I open the links in chrome, however annoying that may be, because I really don't want to install flash.

Well I'm still using Firefox on my end, and the thought and comments about Safari 6 makes it really attractive. Never quite got into the Chrome thing, thought installed it and practiced it :)
