I was right next to Dave Navarro tonite at a store where he was setting up to do a promotion. He's from Jane's Addiction, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and a few other bands, in case you didn't know. And he's verrrrrrrry skinny, in case you didn't know!

I've interviewed current University of Idaho football coach (and former Miami coach and national champion) Dennis Erickson.

Met Joe Namath at an Alabama football game.

Interviewed the Tampa Bay Bucs running backs coach.

Interviewed a few Boise State football players.

Met former Alabama coach Gene Stallings (who's team beat Erickson's 92 Miami team in the Sugar Bowl for the national title).

Met a few former Alabama quarterbacks of recent years: Andrew Zow, Tyler Watts, Brodie Croyle.

Almost got to interview Shaun Alexander (of Alabama and Seattle Seahawks fame).

Met current Alabama athletic director and former Bear Bryant assistant Mal Moore.

Met members of The Graham Colton Band.

Almost got to interview Kelly Clarkson and Phil Collins.

Writing for newspapers and magazines can be fun, kids.

I was at a celebrity golf tournament 2 or so months ago with my dad to hole marshal (ball spot) with him and I talked to a few people:

Troy Percival (long-time California/Anaheim/Los Angeles Angels closer)
Barry Sanders (who claimed he was aiming at me from the tee, haha)
Clyde Drexler (basketball great)

I'd list more, but it's almost the end of 1st period. ;)

I was eating lunch at a restaurant a couple of weeks ago, I look up and see, standing by the table next to me, Jonathan Winters. I don't ordinarily get excited by spotting celebrities, but he's a genuine comedy god in my book. I found out that he's a regular at this particular restaurant and loves to talk to people. I'll have to remember that next time I eat there.

I sat next to Jeremy Irons on a flight from London to Ireland

Kenneth Kaunda from London to Johannesburg - he was President of a Zambia for years and years. All the flight staff thought I was his PA - was very funny.

Was at a party with Gary Busey (spelling?) and Billy Zane once - and no, I wasn't staff I was a guest

not much, but then, not bad for a country boy born in the middle of Africa

I met Mangosuthu Buthelezi several times when I was in ZA. Never really had a conversation with him, but nice to be introduced all the same :)

Not many :( I met one of the finalists in Miss Venezuela (don't remember what year) and she told her sister (my classmate) that I was cute. I knew I never had a chance, so I didn't do anything about it :p I also met Chiquinquira Delgado, a tv host and model. See her here

Not much beside that...

Both of you talked or was she one of those that just can't stop words from pouring out of her mouth like a waterfall and never lets anyone say anything?

I met Lauren Tom (Joy Luck Club, Friends) in Chicago a few years back when she did a one-woman play. I also met former Heavyweight boxing champ Larry Holmes in Las Vegas when I was 10 years old.

And, while I haven't actually met him (or her), I do speak with God quite often--e.g., God, I wish Apple would come out with an 8-core Mac Pro; or God, would it be too much trouble to make Apple release a true video iPod with all of the features of the iPhone, except the phone? :p

I've a picture of Blair Underwood, who spoke at the CMU c/o 2000 graduation ceremony. He was walking near me, and I was on the stands. I shouted "hey", he smiled, and I took a picture of him.

Also, I was in the elevator with Robert Horry, who used to play with the Lakers, Spurs, and Rockets. I was on my way to my office and I couldn't believe it. I didn't get a chance to say anything to him b/c my office was only one flight up.

Back to when I was at CMU, I took a picture of Michael Douglas paparazzi style. He was on campus filming Wonder Boys, and I happened to come out of the photography studio in the basement, taking pictures of my design projects. I took a picture of the actor rehearsing a scene, and I was shooed away by the crew.

I had always dreamed of meeting Bono in person and talk with him about his charity work. He's an amazing person.
