I like the perspective, although I certainly agree that it would be better with a nicer sky or moodier lighting.

Nice picture, nonetheless.

To be honest, the sky and lighting were the main reason i fed this image into photomatix. As i said in the first post, the light quality was really poor, but when you have a 2 year old in tow, you cant afford to sit around too long and wait on it improving.

Cheers for the comments.:)

I would just like to say that the pictures on this forum are amazing! I use a Canon IXUS 60 - by no means an 'advanced' camera. Would I be able to use this technique? Can I do this using Photoshop Elements?

What's the other photo technique that's very popular - I forget - it makes the picture sorta jump out at you? I can't remember the name... but it's very popular.

Hi all,

Yet another (hopefully subtle) first attempt at HDR. I took this on Saturday with my Nikon D40. Feel free to let me have it with both barrels! :)

This church is called "The White Church" and is in a place called St. Annes in Lancashire, near Blackpool.

These are amazing! So do you use Photoshop for this? I don't have it installed on my laptop, but i recall you saying in the first post that you could create the exposure pictures. How is this done?

Thanks!

Thanks.... Yeah, over time I have started editing my source image in Photoshop Camera RAW, where I make tweaks and enhancements before splitting it into different exposures (usually 0, +2, and -2, sometimes more depending on the lighting/contrast).

A few of my recent HDRs, all from a single RAW....

These two are awesome, as usual. Inspirational stuff again valdore.

Would i be correct in saying you are tending to go for single RAW image these days? If so, is it the case that multiple RAWs aren't giving enough difference to warrant taking multiples?

Well, I think at least three source photos straight from the camera is still preferable if you are shooting with a totally still scene, and for some of my shots looking back, I probably should have gone with the ole' tripod and shutter trigger, but didn't for whatever reason. Although if the scene features people or other movement, it's one raw all the way. :)

Can I get a wallpaper size version of 2nd one?
1440X900 is my resolution, but anything larger than that is fine, I can resize/crop if needed!

Thanks
