Took a quick look at your Flickr, and most the rest of your HDR work is pretty good. Just be mindful of the Halo, as that generally means a bit too much post processing.

Ever think that may be the look they were going after? If you don't care for HDR, what are you doing here? Most HDR goes beyond the look of a "standard" photograph.

I dont think i have ever seen you post a pic. It's a lot easier to judge them, than it is to create them, and since those are so bad why dont you give us all the pleasure of posting some your epiphany causing HDR's... Or hell, any of your work...

there is a castle on a cloud...

taken at the cliffs of moher in ireland. from 3 exposures - meaning there is some ghosting with the grass in the foreground (it was super windy) but i don't mind the effect. be sure to click-the thumbnail looks terrible
