Some of these HDR's on the last few pages really are quite disgusting.

Like, seriously vomit-enducing.

Sorry, but they're no longer photography, more like something someone drew in MS Paint or something from an 16bit computer game.

Ever think that may be the look they were going after? If you don't care for HDR, what are you doing here? Most HDR goes beyond the look of a "standard" photograph.

Those are some pretty strong words...

I dont think i have ever seen you post a pic. It's a lot easier to judge them, than it is to create them, and since those are so bad why dont you give us all the pleasure of posting some your epiphany causing HDR's... Or hell, any of your work...

This is my first HDR image. C&C are welcome

there is a castle on a cloud...

taken at the cliffs of moher in ireland. from 3 exposures - meaning there is some ghosting with the grass in the foreground (it was super windy) but i don't mind the effect. be sure to click-the thumbnail looks terrible

Morning Tepuy

I took this on my way to Angel Falls. Taken on a moving boat, leaning on my gf's shoulder :)

Three bracketed shots, handheld
1/640, 1/2500 & 1/160
f8
ISO 200
10mm (Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6)

I tried not to go overboard with the HDR effect. Photomatix makes it very easy to overdo it!
