Seems like a recent leak/glitch on Hermès' side revealed that there will indeed be a Series 5. This also means, that there will almost certainly be a regular Series 5 SS model.

https://9to5mac.com/2019/09/04/hermes-series-5-apple-watch/

That's great news!

If there aren't that much improvement over the Series 4, I might keep my current S4 Hermes and just get a new single tour.

Hoping for some special and amazing colour combinations and styles!

One of the members over at Purse Forum said that her Hermès sale assistant said they just sent all the current S4 models back to Apple in anticipation for a S5 release. YAY!!!

I wouldn’t read too much into it. All the bands listed are available with the series 4. They also showed the bands on a series 4.

It could be an accident or it could be a sign that they are indeed onboard for series 5. Only way to know is wait 5 more days :(

it's just an odd mistake to make, especially this close to the potential announcement. They could've not been given the renders for the new watches yet

ended up going with option 3 and just holding on to it to see what apple has to offer with series 5

from what i'm getting is that there might not even be a series 5, and with new casings like tianium, i just wonder where that is going to put the apple watch hermes. if stainless stell wont be the most premium casing anymore, are the hermes watches going to be titanium?
When they had ceramic the Hermès was still steel.

I guess the other question we need answered is titanium replacing ss?

Apple seems to be done with their special edition watches (gold and ceramic) but maybe they’re reviving that line.

Ceramic is back next week.
but as a special edition /side project or a full blown stand alone product? At a cheaper cost?

Apple charged near Hermes prices for the ceramic special edition. Will they offer it for cheaper?

My thought is that S4 --> S5 is going to be minimal. To drive upgrades from the S4 they are releasing new finishes. People always want to show they have the latest. I had an S2 Ceramic and had planned to replace it with an S4 Ceramic, which never came. I love my S4 Hermes but I really miss the ceramic.

I'm assuming the ceramic model will be marketed as an Apple Watch Edition with a price tag higher than the Series 3 Edition ceramic watch was. Not sure if Titanium will also be an Apple Watch Edition or just an Apple Watch.

Reading all the latest leaks and rumours and I’m thinking they’ll only release the titanium and ceramic as new finishes to the Series 4 line. Or a very minor update as Series 5 with minimal changes.

Plus new bands including new Hermès bands.

I have an opportunity to be a new Hermès 44mm series 4 for 400$, it comes with the single dark blue leather band and the rubber orange band, is that a good deal or is 400$ too much at this point as the series 4 is going to be outdated as of tomorrow afternoon when the series 5 is announced?

$400 for an hermes series 4 watch PLUS band is so good its suspicious, is it a trust worthy seller?

Yes it’s my coworker’s friend that is selling it, is 400$ a good deal?

These premium Apple watch models are notorious for taking a massive price hit whenever a newer and better model comes out. I never owned a Hermès AW before so I don’t know how the price hit takes place for the Hermès models but I have owned an SS Series 3 42mm and an SS 44mm Series 4(just sold due to the expected Series 5 refresh) and I took a 65% loss when selling

I’m considering this Series 4 Hermès model because of the premium Hermès watch face, is it worth it or it isn’t all that it seems? I don’t even plan on using the Hermès leather band as I will continue to use my Milanese Loop which is my favorite Apple watch band.

Yes $400 is a good deal even if Apple releases new model tomorrow (unlikely - Maybe just titanium and ceramic edition models and new bands and Hermes leather straps).

The leather strap itself is worth almost that price.

The resale value for all SS models are not that good anyway.

May as well wait until after the event and see what Apple is releasing in terms of Hermes AW and bands and decide then.

The bands alone cost $400 so I would say yes, good deal.

I do not expect the Series 5 to be announced tomorrow. All the rumors are pointing to a Ceramic and Titanium Series 4 only.

Not true, there are talks about a series 5 with advanced sleep tracking capabilities and perhaps a blood pleasure/blood oxygen sensor being added as well along with a larger battery to support proper sleep tracking so if any of these rumors end up being true then the series 5 would be a substantial upgrade over the series 4

Don't want to derail this thread with speculation on the Series 5, but sleep tracking is said to not require new hardware so it can be added to the Series 4 today with the watchOS update.

Also, Apple regulatory filings only add four new Apple Watch part numbers, which is sufficient to cover a Ceramic and Titanium Series 4 in 40mm and 44mm sizes. If the Series 5 launched today, there would have been up to 16 new part numbers to cover all the models (Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Titanium, Ceramic and Hermès). And there is no way Apple would launch a Series 5 and make it only available in the most expensive finishes.

Anyway, we'll know in a few hours.

Wow, I'm surprised and excited. I'm probably going to order an Hermes and a Ceramic (dont like the brushed Titanium) and see what I like better...
