Nice. Be aware that the fauve Barenia band will darken over time, which is normal for untreated leather. Oddly, they aren't currently selling that band separately. I also went for the etoupe band as a secondary band. My impression after a few days is that since the colored bands are treated they may hold up a bit longer.

Both the etoupe and fauve Barenia are "unisex" but I think your wife might like the look of the etoupe better, especially in the Double Tour.

That interesting. I did I know the color bands were treated. Have you noticed your fauve really darkening?

Yes, but to be fair I wore it every day. It absorbs natural skin oils, etc. and develops a patina. Of course, I also accidentally got it wet a couple of times so that undoubtedly amplified the effect. Some patina is unavoidable and desirable. If you want to keep it a bit longer I'd suggest switching off between bands every once in a while.

No, I think I could still get another year out of it if I really wanted to. The inner side looks pretty good and the leather itself is holding up well.

Oh ok good. Mine should be good, it's just got spots from liquids that I can seem to get rid of.

Which band did your wife get? Would she be amenable to you posting pictures of her watch, too?

She got the single tour as it was the only thing available to order now from Hermes.com - but she's planning on getting the double buckle cuff as soon as it's available. I'll post pics then!

They have plenty in stock in store at Hermes. I went in to swap out my Fauve double tour for the longer fauve double tour version and saw plenty colors/styles in stock. You may want to check at your local Hermes for availability on your specific color/style.

My wife and I both exchanged our ceramic Edition models for Hermes Series 2 models. They came today.

My initial thoughts are that the Hermes leather feels really unbelievable. Somehow way nicer than I was imagining. I also really dig the orange sport band. You can also customize the Hermes watch face colors to match the orange band. Here are some photos of my Single Tour.

Very nice. I like it. Almost tempts me to pick up the Hermes version.

Anyone looking, the Apple Store online seems to have refreshed stocks of the S2 models today. The deployment buckle, which was showing as unavailable since pre-orders launch, now shows 5-7 weeks! Now here's hoping it will wind up expedited and arrive just like the JB 7+.

On another note - has anyone noticed that many Apple Stores permanently show "Unavaialble for Pickup" for the Hermès models? I understand that only certain flagship stores carry them as normal stock, but it's maddening to not be able to order one to my local store under any circumstances. Not so keen on having a $1500 watch sitting outside the house.
Apple tries to make Hermes watch a luxury product and only selected top location apple stores have it.

Really nice, however I have an issue with the Hermes watch and it's only my view/feelings and isn't a criticism at all...

If I bought the Hermes watch, I'd feel "obliged" to keep using the Hermes bands and the watch face, otherwise there's no point in spending the extra. If you switched out the band or watch face, then you kinda negate the extra cost of the Hermes. Again, how I feel and not a criticism.

Well, actually Hermès seems to have plenty of Apple Watches in their Warehouse in Paris.

I couldn't help to order one online at 1am - @i3s3d01 u owe my credit card :p - and will receive it apparently already tomorrow, latest on monday.

Point is: while I waited for the AW Nike+, I remember seeing a Hermès one day and I thought it was classy and plain beautiful. I keep on remembering that one when thinking of an AW. So I figured that as long as I don't have it on my wrist and come to a conclusion that it would not fit me (my wallet still hopes so), I would want the Hermès at the end of the day.

Plus, since the Nike watch app seems to be still a mess, I give them a bit more time to sort it out. >)

In the meantime, Hermès, let's see if you can live up to the expectations.

:)

Interesting perspective. If I bought the Hermes watch, now that it comes with a Sports band, I'd always use one of the two bands it comes with. But I wouldn't use the Hermes face that often, because with iOS 3, I'm almost always using a face with multiple complications, or the x-large face with a complication, which I find very useful. So while the Hermes face is nice, it's not worth it for me to pay extra for it. I do love their leather, and the Sports band color is nice, so I could see someone just getting the Hermes for the bands, even if they don't use the face.

That leather band ALMOST makes me want to bring back my black SS link and get that band (or the deployment one). While i know that band is amazing I have to wonder if the face is what really gives it that extra touch of class. Amazing looking watch and much better choice than the ceramic (which I love but they didn't make any nice bands with ceramic lugs...).

Welcome to the club! Trust me, you won't be disappointed! My wife and I both agree, after only 24 hours of use, that we don't see going back to anything other than the Hermes models from here on out. They're just fantastic!

I don't take this at criticism, I actually take it as pretty valid points to a potential buyer. I wouldn't disagree with most of your points here. In my specific case I was actually LOOKING to simplify my Apple Watch "setup" - I wanted to get it down to just a few of my favorite bands, and one or two sport bands. That on top of the Hermes watch faces (which I really love) and the Hermes was a really easy decision for me.

I'll say this, so far the Hermes single tour band feels so nice and "premium" that I don't have any thoughts of wanting to change this band out. In fact it's got me really considering getting another Hermes leather strap to add to this one. I wasn't really satisfied with any of Apple's watch faces, or at least I had grown very very tired of all of them. Again, all of those things made the Hermes a VERY easy decision for me.

From an aesthetic standpoint, I find that yes, I do get tired of most of Apple's watch faces after a while. Before Watch OS 3, I had my watch on solar face most of the time. (And if you could post a pic of your watch with the Hermes band and solar face, I'd appreciate that very much -- curious to see if they work together.) But with Watch OS 3, I find the complications much more functional, so have loaded up a lot of modular faces and X-large faces and have been switching among them depending on what I'm doing at that particular moment. I hardly use the solar face anymore even though aesthetically it's still my favorite face. :(

Sure I can do that when I get home today - if I can remember!

My new Hermes Series 2 with the blue leather band (which I purchased direct from Hermes online).

I'm considering getting this band to go with my Hermes single tour that came yesterday - but how does that leather feel? It doesn't look like a very soft leather - in the photos it looks a little hard and (for lack of a better word) plasticy. I've got some oil leather treatment I could use to soften it up but I'd rather not have to do that on a $340 watch strap. Do you like the feel of it? Thanks for any info

That looks great. Must say, I am more impressed with the Hermes than the Edition. Does anyone know why the deployment band/watch cost $200 more than the single tour? Are they really charging $200 just for the deployment?
