Oh guys.... it arrived. I set it up. Played with it. I fell in LOVE with it (as much as u can fall for a "thing"). Went for a run. Took a shower. Absolutely perfect.

I am so happy to have gone with the Hermès. Definitely the right choice. :)

Thanks to one particular guy on this forum, u know who u r, who changed my mind about the AWN+ by posting his pics.

Check with your local Hermes. They had two black single tour straps when I went on release day. They can also order one for you.

Thanks for the tip. I'll give the SF store a call. If they have it I'll pick it up.

SF store doesn't have any and no option to order.

Do you think the Hermes faces would look better if the hands were solid white instead of an outline?

The hands aren't an outline. They are white outlined and solid black in the middle. When the hands pass over the hour number or Hermes logo, you can't see what's below.

I noticed that every Apple Store in my area will have the Hermes available on November 14th. All five local stores were saying the same thing. Available November 14th.

Six hours later, all stores were back to "unavailable" with either 3-4 weeks or 5-6 weeks and space black said November 14th.

Mine is set for November 3rd-10th. Sounds like they may be working on a mass amount to be available by the 2-3rd week in November.

Whatever that means. I am wondering why so many models - even beyond Hermes and Edition have such a long delay still when analysts are saying sales are slow.

I described it incorrectly … I think the hands would look better if they were solids white instead of solid black in the middle. It would give off a starker contrast to the black background.

I also like no seconds hand (sweeping seconds hand) in analog faces. A subsidiary seconds hand/face at 6:00 is okay.

two of the three watch faces don't have a second hand

I have to thank this thread. So, my purchase history is below. Suffice, I love my APple Watches (2). BUT, I decided last minute to get Hermes edition over, SS Black, and never realized it came with the Heres orange sport band!!!! THANK YOU thread! My 38mm came with small sport band. Love it!!

April 24, 2015 receive my 1st AW SS 38mm ... have worn it everyday since .... zero complaints. Ordered 38mm Series 2 Hermes edition this time ..... and got it September 27. Love it too. I ordered with Berenia double tour because the single tour wasn't shipping for 7 weeks or so. And also got a basic tan classic band which I love on my 1st edition. I also ordered the blue single tour which is due this week.

I purchased the Hermes Apple Watch Series 2 (which rightfully should have been called the Edition) 42mm with Fauve Barenia Leather Single Tour band, but I really want the Deployment Buckle.

Is there anyway to get this particular band? It does not seem to be available in the USA. Does Hermes sell it separately? I really want the band and am willing to pay market price or above but am at a loss as to how to order it?

I am not going to completely derail this thread, but this statement makes no sense. Why in the world should the Hermès have been called the edition? Seems they have made just a few more Hermès then ceramic editions. On top that, the edition is something different, something special. One of a kind in terms of AW materials. The Hermès is a SS AW with the Hermès name engraved on the back and one of their world class leather bands. I am not taking anything away from the Hermès "version" on the AW, but it's not an edition. It does not fit the build of an edition.

I totally agree, even as I am deciding on if I am keeping my Edition or going with the Hermès. The Edition should be a more limited model, something special.

Hermès hands down has the world class bands, and the very classy watch faces...both of which are reasons why I am still sitting on the fence. I like the ceramic edition for what it is, but the face that only the Hermès models have a very classy analog watch face which really helps make the watch. At least in my opinion.

I wish Apple had made a very simple elegant analog watch face like those found on Hermès.

But it is just a watch face and if Apple decide to let developers loose with customising watch faces then anything can be designed. We are not going to call the Nike an 'Edition' because it has a special band and individual apps.
The Hermes has some amazing bands....the absolute best and that's what makes it special but it is just a stainless steel watch without the bands and will scratch and mark just as easily. The Ceramic is unique because of the material that it is made of. The band it comes with is awful though which is a shame.
Both watches are great and are special for their individual reasons.

It is here and it is magnificent. So glad I managed to get the deployment buckle. Must have been fate!

What I meant is that Apple should have created an Hermes Edition Watch in either Ceramic or another special material. Apple created Ceramic which is ok and $1,300 but with only one true band (made out of rubber). I was not demeaning the Ceramic, but

Oh man. The Hermes deployment buckle is seriously the most limited (and arguably most sought after high end Apple Watch accessory) of all time. So jealous. Can't wait to see some pics!!

I agree the bands are extremely top notch, and they are something special. In terms of band I really wish ceramic had a better band, but in terms of specialness of material, the Ceramic is the best Apple has to offer. If they had paired it with the Hermès, that would have even amazing.

Make sure you post some pics for the rest of us.

I'm getting jealous as my Hermes won't be shipped until end of October to early November. Can US Customers order from their website for delivery? Probably cost a lot to ship maybe? Maybe for future considerations as I don't mind waiting.
