It's a bit different definitely!

I do miss the feeling of unboxing an orange box though!
I’d prefer an orange box with maybe a black insert or something. My least favorite Hermès leather is swift as well so this watch is not even an option for me.

For me it’s such a bad Apple Watch Hermès year. Don’t like the new bands, don’t like the black. Wish they did Titanium... I’ve owned every Hermès till this year, but hopefully I’ll enjoy the Ceramic.

Are the Hermès faces compatible with the always on mode?
Yes the hour and minute hands turn solid and the second hand disappears. The screen also dims.

One you tap the screen or lift your wrists it lights up and shows the standard face.

Excellent, looks great.

I’m camped out with my ear pressed against the door waiting for the same model to appear in 40mm. Always had SS, feel like a change and have gone SB SS.

In the meantime I’m trying to get reminders synced on my Series 4, for some reason they’re not syncing since updating to watchOS6 and the suggested solutions I’ve read aren’t working, bah.

Just got my two watches. 44mm Ceramic and 44mm Hermès with Single Tour Faube Barenia. I love the Ceramic so going to return the Hermès. Hopefully Apple improves the Hermès bands with the 2020 Spring refresh and maybe I’ll be back here next year for the S6.

Enjoy your Hermès watches!

i hear you. the bands this year minus the new SBSS people have been digging have been disappointing. Last year's bands were gorgeous! they should have continued having 3 color ways or maybe offer other leather types.

been eyeing having an hermes since getting my first band earlier this year. so i was going to grab one regardless of the band choices.

do any of ur hermes bands look good with the ceramic?

I loved the multiple color ways and the faces from Series 4. This year is so disappointing. I was hoping for a new Rallye and some interesting color ways. I wish Hermès did a band builder with multiple choices. I’d gladly pay a premium for that option.

Can you confirm whether or not the noir faces are available on the non-SB models?

Does the ceramic still have the 'step' or have they solved that? I can see it with the naked eye but some people have to feel it. Just run your finger from the screen down/around to the case. On SS models (perhaps aluminum too, not sure) it's smooth, like a continuous curve. Not so on the prior ceramic. There was an obvious step, with the ceramic proud of the glass. In the past Apple was always very careful not to make this obvious in photos, but once I saw it I couldn't unsee it.

There is a step still in my opinion. I didn’t open the Hermès yet. Not sure if I want to. I feel like I’m wasting a perfectly good watch even though I have no intention of keeping it.

You can open the Hermes and still return to Apple within 14 days. Just got mine, will try it out for a week and decide if I want to keep it or get the titanium edition
