Maybe they just took it out and now everything is sloppy and moving about :)
Oof, let's hope not. Ship the thing with an empty void in the plastic tray insert where the power block was? Very un-Apple indeed :D.

When I bought my aluminum series 6 in store last week, the box was noticeably thinner. With the power block gone, it didn't need to be as thick as before, plus they widened the spool of the charging cable so it's more rectangular and thus doesn't take up as much vertical space. I'm genuinely curious to see if this is how they do the Hermes boxes as well.

And if that's the case, would that mean that there would be two types of packaging for the same Series 6 Hermes release? Those who ordered/received and had theirs shipped the first week will have the usual box whereas those now will have a thinner box? Madness, I tell you.

I ordered two, the double tour came with a power block (which will never be used). Will be interesting to see if my single tour will come block free. I hope so, I'm all for this idea. Yes they save money but the carbon impact is massive for such a small mostly unused item.

I held my solo loop insert up to the sun and they simply used the sport band package and put an extra piece of glued paper over where the extra size band for the sport models normal goes.

Will be interesting indeed to see how they fill the void.

my S6 had a charger.

My main curiosity is the potential for the packaging overall to change. No power block means a thinner box like with the other Series 6 watches.

I'm guessing the one being shipped to me would be the first batch that includes the power block. Looking at the package details from UPS, assuming it's correct, it says the weight is 0.9kg whereas the aluminum watch was 0.5kg.

The Hermès series 6 I received had the power block included. True that is now missing from the product description on apple.com. Curious as well as to box changes

It is my understanding the Hermès watches are shipping with the power block. Can someone who received that confirm it? Or was that somehow changed?!
I got the power block (S6 SBSS Noir single tour) but the news story implies they’re removing them.

I highly doubt they’ll redesign the packaging as a result of removing the plug. It’s no wider than the watch or the charging cord. And lengthwise, they still need to accommodate the straps.

Y'all notice a majority of the watches are not letting you add to cart? Tons of them in 44mm.
That is interesting. Looks like a lot of the 40mm are out of stock, maybe never to return?

Hermès bands don’t last long on the store.

I bought the blue/white/gold color block in May and it disappeared from the site shortly after.

and the winter band that was released last November didn’t even last a day.

I also noticed they limit you to two Hermès bands on the apple store when checking out.

Most of all 40/44m are out of stock in every color

Finally shipped for 9/30-10-5. Tracking hasn't posted yet with UPS but it's officially shipped. Glad it is finally on the way, will be curious to see if it has a power block or not.

Mine shipped and is scheduled for Monday delivery. Am also curious if the power brick will be in the box. Don’t really care either way, its just more of a “did I beat the cutoff” thing.

Hey folk,

Last week I posted the Hèrmes Space Black vs Graphite comparison found here:

Last night I posted the full review:

I am really impressed with the leather. Way more impressed than I thought. I was initially going to keep it in the box to keep the value, but it’s just too good!

Enjoy, let me know if you have any questions.

Doug:

One thing I THINK (emphasis on the word "think") you missed is this: I believe the Hermès Watches come with a stainless steel-cased charging cable. Not the plain white plastic one.

I'd let you know in advance ... but I don't want to undo the wrapping! ?

It definitely does. All stainless steel models get that perk. Damn I wish they would offer a black cable with black steel

Bear in mind the orange Swift has silver hardware - beauty is in the eye of the beholder so only you can say if the silver lugs on the black Watch will be OK with you.
Fen:

Yes I'm aware that the Orange Swift has the silver SS lugs ... I also realize that it WILL show. Much more than a "pin".

To me, having a band in Hermès orange is very important. Enough that the silver SS lugs were fine with me (and still are). My only -- and initial -- worry was that the Orange Swift would develop a dark patina (since I'd wear it for 5 days out of the week). 1KBands assuaged that worry.

But now that I found out the Orange SPort Band CAN be bought with SBSS pins, that throws a whole new issue!

I will most probably go with the Orange Swift ... but let me see if chargerstore has the SBSS pin Sport band!

I’m a fan of leather. (also have leather pouch for iPhone: love the patina)

wow. I ordered on 15th right after event and my shipping time is 9/30 to10/7. Hasn’t budged. I am in Los Angeles.

wow that’s crazy and I’m all the way over in Sydney,Australia.
Maybe there is less demand for Hermes watches in Sydney them a city like Los Angeles.
