You will also feel different level of haptics depending on the size of the cell you’re scrolling. That might make it feel glitchy.
The bambou single tours are now sold out in the Apple online store and Hermès store in Australia. That didn’t last long. Maybe that was the first batch and they’re making more?

Soooooo. I called Apple again about my order, and was able to gain some useful information from my rep. He stated that my Hermes 4mm SBSS Noir is shipping from CA and that Apple has been meeting the time frames quoted for shipping on their Hermes models.
So having gone through this before, it means they will ship it from a location about 60 miles from my house. This explains why it hasn’t gone to preparing to ship for me. When it does reach that status it will ship out without being in preparing for shipping very long and I am expected to receive it the next day.

That site that’s Japan/US only I was telling you about, Mercari. It’s much more people dumping at garage sale prices than professional sellers who want top dollar. It’s crazy the deals I’ve swung. The seller also has an ok deal $270USD for what appears to be bleu indigo and a meh $361 fauve double tour, which as an evergreen color can be had for far less new.
I tried it with craie from my craie/bleu and it was hideous...I guess too much warm tone can be an issue. Plus the bleu belt was too much.

I’ve been looking through the Japanese yahoo auction sites, Mercari and Rakuten via the Buyee app and I was able to score a good condition indigo/craie/orange and a brand new Bleu Lin/craie/Bleu du nord for under retail.
Super happy about that. Will post pics when I receive them.

How did you rationalize or what inspired you to get the Hermès AW? I had intended to get another stainless steel when the S4 first accepted pre-orders, but they quickly sold out of steels! At that time usually the aluminums sold out quickly. I thought about my little dilemma and the only way to get a steel AW on Launch Day was to buy a Hermès AW on Launch Day at a Hermès store. I called a few days before Launch Day and they said they will put one aside for me. The sales rep calls and tells me they’re in, a day before Launch Day, and was prepared to sell it to me that day, but then she encountered someone in the store and I was told it was against the rules and had to wait until Launch Day to buy it. The AW wasn’t in a cellophane wrapper like you would get from a purchase at an Apple Store. One box had the AW and another box had the band, just like how they do it now. I got the sense they were plenty of AWs available and I didn’t need it to have one set aside. They tied a ribbon around the two boxes and off I went. I got the band with a deployant buckle since i never had or used such a buckle.
Oh goody that sounds like fun. I’ve really gotten into hunting in-store pickup for iPhones since the X and I’ll miss making the journey the next phone I get.
Do you folks want my hot take on the whole deployant/deployment controversy? I think Apple, in their characteristic occasional overthinking, maybe knows this deployment word is kind of bogus and maybe undercuts their “horology” message, but has a steadfast internal style generals that prevents them from pairing a French word with an English word. Akin to their pluralization peccadilloes.

Still my all time favorite combo. Apple Link Bracelet and Hermes watch face. After having the black Hermes S5 I wanted to go back to SS as I've honestly always preferred it.

I've been following this thread for quite some time and it inspired me to FINALLY pick up a Hermès S6 to replace my SSS4. It will arrive this week and the extra bands I ordered are already here and somewhat lonely.
