We have the exact same cuff! I love it. It's the 60-year leather. Your pics are great. How long have you had it? Mine is new and hasn't been treated yet, so it's still a bit lighter than yours.
Frankly speaking for two day only. I applied the leather balm, which they send me. It darkens all a bit but be careful when applying: not too much :)

The whole watch sold with the buckle. Hermes isn't selling it separately.
I think you mentioned getting the 42mm Hermes. Does it even fit your small wrists? I have large wrists but when I tried it on, I thought this band would never fit a small wrist. Same for the sport band.

Did I read that the 42mm Hermes would have M/L bands - similar to apple in that you actually get there pieces?

I know Hermes had some recently. They must be out of stock again. You might have to keep checking both sites, but Hermes is probably more likely to have one and be able to ship it right away.
[doublepost=1476451093][/doublepost]

We can exchange those? I didn't realize that. Mine is due to arrive today. I can wear the M/L sport band on the VERY last hole, but it's a little loose. Fortunately, I like that in summer, but I've never worn the M/L sport band in winter and I wonder if it'll feel too loose.

Perhaps not exchange - more like call AppleCare and put up a fuss why it wasn't included with my $1,500 watch and ask for the smaller one to be mailed. When these H S2 models first showed up on the website they were ambiguous in describing the H sport band - and given that apple provides both sizes in any other regular sport band purchase scenario (buying separately or bundled with a Watch) everyone assumed this would be the same. That was until the first unboxings came in and people couldn't "find" the missing band and it turned out that they were only sending one size. Apple has since reflected such in the website listings. Still, its absurd that those who are willing to pay a huge premium are stuck with whatever Apple determines to be the correct size. Hermes customer service wouldn't likely be any help if their Apple Watch returns/exchanges policy is any indication (not permitted immediately once the package seal is broken)

You'd expect that since any other Sport band equipped watch does, but Apple for some reason has skimped out and is only providing one set depending on what size the Hermes watch is. 38mm = S/M and 42mm = M/L. For those with small wrists but who can still comfortably use the 42mm watch like myself, its frustrating and I'll definitely look into calling Apple out for the cheapness.

So, I am so tempted to buy the Apple Watch HermèsStainless Steel Case with Fauve Barenia Leather Single Tour.

If I am spending $700 for a SS watch, might as well double it to get a nice one. But then, part of me says just get the SS with the leather bandfor $700. Why spend so much extra on a Hermes.....:/

What made you guys go with Hermes?

Anyone?

Yea - that is cheap and they word it the same way as on Apples website. If you buy the sport band at apple, it says M/L and that is what you get - a medium and a large. The Hermes says M/L for the 42mm but you aren't getting the M. Shame

I could have purchased the SS 42mm with a sport band and got the band separately and the only real physical difference would have been the watch faces. Yet, I wanted the package and the nice analog faces. It's a premium setup and for that, it may also hold the value longer. Personal preference I guess.

Maybe it is like a Honda automobile or get the Lexus/Acura that has the Honda engine. (Forget which one uses Hondas engine). It wouldn't matter if it was the exact engine as the Honda Accord. People will want the premium name and maybe a little more features or a step up leather quality.

I have about 8 watches that I don't wear anymore and some were expensive and has expensive bands. The Hermes leather quality is worth more than double the Apple Classic by far. I have nice leather belts that cost $25-$50 and then I have really leather belts that cost $200-$300. Those just radiate high quality and feel while the other less expensive ones break or never really break in like the expensive ones.

Lastly, just a few hours with the Hermes leather band and you know it will age and become a nice worn leather look if taken car of nicely. It's soft and looks sharp. The Apple bands are stiff and a year plus later they look the same but a big dent where I normally set the pin. It never ages like fine leather and will always have a plastic/cheap leather look. I have four of apples leather bands. Version 3 isn't bad, but you know it is on the cheaper side and I like Ecco leather shoes.

Wonderful reply. Thank you. I have actually owned several Acura products myself, and they are made by Honda. I understand paying for the name, but you do get more for your money with a car than you do with a watch. You are only paying for the band, and the watch faces. So it makes it harder to spend another $500-600 bucks.

The orange sport band did come only in the M/L with the 42MM. I think this is oddly discriminatory toward people with smaller wrists and I doubt that extra half a strap itself would cost more than a few cents. I think it might be a packaging issue more than an issue of cost for the strap. I can wear a sport on the last hole and have it fit okay (mostly because the extra band that gets tucked inside helps make the whole thing tighter, but I really prefer the S/M sport band for my wrist.

I don't have tiny wrists for a girl, but I don't have large ones, either. I don't like 38MM watch cases and my other AW was a 42MM so I have lots of bands and am invested in the 42MM already so I wouldn't switch anyway.

Is the deployment buckle worth the addition £200 cost? Does it add any additional benefit (leather wear etc) other than when putting the watch on?

I'm wrong? I'm never wrong. Ha ha. You are 100% correct. What I was badly trying to say is the way they both post the listing. Apple website says M/L just like that and Hermes says M/L just like that. I can see the confusion for some and it is a little bit of a misleading title. Does that look like you get a medium large or a Medium and a large? If you ordered a sport band from Apple you are familiar with M/L meaning you get three pieces. That's all I meant.

but that's the thing you're getting wrong... it doesn't say M/L just like that at all. it says S/M & M/L.

http://www.apple.com/hk/shop/product/MM992FE/A/42mm-yellow-sport-band-s-m-m-l

And the alternative is M/L and L/XL.

Ok - maybe I am the only one that could be misunderstanding. It wasn't even and issue for me because I don't need the extra piece. Just thought it was confusing and people may have thought they were getting three pieces. I suppose this is the first time that the sport came with only two pieces. Definitely not worth any more debate. I'm just curious if others felt like they would get three pieces or two. I know you are right, but whenever I see M/L i am thinking three pieces.

The reason people thought they might be getting three pieces is nothing to do with the mistake you're making and everything to do with the Apple website stating the sport band can be configured for either S/M or M/L when actually the 38s come with S/M and the 42s M/L.

I hear you loud and clear and I know you are right. I was obviously very bad at trying to explain that if I order a M/L at Apple I get three pieces. The same M/L for Hermes is two pieces.

Anyway, my apologies for side tracking this thread on a previously discussed topic.

it's going in one ear and out of the other isn't it? you don't ever order a M/L at Apple. You order a S/M & M/L in the same package. That's why you get three pieces.

I finally get what you are saying. That is new on apples site for buying bands. That was not the case previously. If you haven't purchased a band in the last month or so, there was no S/M & M/L or M/L & L/XL or anything like that. If I remember correctly, 42mm was M/L only for all colors and XL for one or two colors. It was one or the other - no AND. So, for the 16 months prior, the 42mm bands on Apples websit was M/L for all band colors and L/XL for one or two I think. There wasn't even a S/M choice - I think.

You can however stop with the "you are an idiot" types of responses. I know you aren't saying that to me, but your responses are worded that way and come across as if you are the authority and I am an idiot for not grasping your logic.

It is not new - it has actually been the case since apple introduced the XL sport band in august 2015 - see the screenshot here https://www.macrumors.com/2015/08/14/apple-debuts-link-bracelet-kit-for-larger-wrists/

You do remember incorrectly. If you see this archive.org page from september 2015, http://web.archive.org/web/20150915...oduct/MJ4M2ZM/A/42mm-white-sport-band-s-m-m-l that is roughly how long the apple store has sold bands in this format. S/M and M/L together, with the option of the larger M/L and L/XL together in one or two colours. Prior to this, it was simply the S/M and M/L band with no sizing option, hence apple's web store URL wouldn't have had the "s-m-m-l" suffix to differentiate it from the larger band and that specific web link didn't exist. - http://web.archive.org/web/20150813...shop/product/MJ4M2ZM/A/42mm-white-sport-band?

The bands have always come in S/M & M/L together. Always. Check your sport bands; one part says "S/M" and the other part says "M/L" on it.

Thank you, I am glad I added "I think" because that doesn't ring a bell with me. I am regretting bringing this up completely. It all started with me knowing it came with two pieces but thinking M/L reprsented three pieces and people would just assume it had three pieces. I've purchased five sport bands and honestly don't ever recall seeing choices like it is listed now.

Just be careful with the responses as if you are taking to someone "challenged" or coming across arrogant. It is my apology for not recalling the & choice. I don't even recall the small choice for 42mm. If someone talked to me like that in person, they would be fired on the spot. :)

Either way, I was wrong and my recall is apparently horrible. I honestly don't recall those choices and that is why I was trying to say why people could/would be confused. I should have looked at Apple Store first. My apologies to you and others for the wasted space. It's hard sometimes to grasp what someone is saying when you recall something completely different.

if my boss still, after 5 times of being told, didn't grasp that there isn't a small choice - because it comes bundled with the M/L band to comprise the three pieces you get in the box...

the reason i spoke authoritatively on the matter - and to use your interpretation, as if you were being an idiot - is twofold. one, i have made the same point at least 4 times in different ways and you still misunderstand it every time (this is the idiot part). and secondly, i have evidence to back up what i say (this is the authority part).

Yeah, that is the way I am seeing it as well. If I am buying the $700 42mm one, I would want a sport strap still, so another $50, and then apple care, $60 (it comes with 2 years already on the Hermes), so I would get 3 years if I paid the additional $99. So far, $700 goes up to $810. So for around $400 extra, I could get the $1200 one.

so which is it? are you getting applecare for the hermes or not? as it's then $1300 and $500 extra - otherwise you have a 2 year limited warranty and no accidental damage cover (which is therefore in no way comparable to the regular SS with applecare+).
