You must be a really casual person (which strap came with yours, anyway?) because I've worn my fauve leather every day since I opened this watch and I don't ever feel it's too dressy. I might if I was doing yard work and of course it is not suitable for workouts or water activity.

Do you work in a gym or landscaping or something?

i could wear mine everyday, everywhere like a number of folks do, however i find it unnecessary. My profession wouldnt have anything to do with that.

i dont feel the need to wear it simply to appropriate its cost. I wear it whenever I please because im comfortable in knowing this kind of stuff(Hermès) is nothing new for me.

i have the single tour 42mm fauve.

btw, I am really casual: Sport shirt and chinos everyday.

I telecommute. Current outfit is a black t-shirt, jeans shorts, and bare feet.

Am wearing fauve leather watch strap. I bought this baby to wear it. ;)

I'll be wearing my Hermes to a friend's formal party on Saturday but as she's a director at Apple, I doubt she'll be that bothered about my brown leather strap clashing with my dinner suit. ;)

I think you can dress the Hermes leather up or down, really. I think I'll get the bleu agate epsom for more dressy wear because I think straps with stitching that matches the leather look a bit dressier. But, I'm female.

Oddly enough, for me the Hermes orange strap was a huge attraction, and the fact that it came only in M/L (which I can wear) was a huge negative because I far prefer wearing S/M and not have so much of the band tucked in. The color is great. Apple Sports straps seem to come in two flavors: really bright colors (e.g., yellow, red, orange) and then more muted/subtle colors (e.g., ocean blue, midnight blue, concrete, black, etc.), and this would have been a perfect muted color. I have the orange strap, which is my favorite, but it is not subtle.

Another MR member has said the M/L and S/M bands are offset by a half hole, which is an ingenious idea. I've never even tried on the S/M band as the M/L on the 3rd hole fits almost perfectly. If it didn't then I would use the S/M for the almost perfect fit.

Btw, I would love the Hermes faces if the hands were solid while instead of an outline.

I saw that too, and tried out a M/L combo as I usually use the S/M (2nd largest hole), but can use either band. There is a difference, but for me it's mainly how much more of the longer strap I have to tuck in under the shirt end, with the M/L strap. That's why I found the inclusion of only one size of the Hermes orange strap so puzzling/infuriating. It's a significant reason why I decided not to get that watch.

Back in early October I ordered my Hermes with the Deployment band. Expected delivery is 15 November until 5 December. Here reciently you can't even order them on the website. What's up with that??

They've been unavailable since 2nd week in October....no one seems to know when they will have them either in store or online

Wow, It wasn't on their site last night. I have a single tour being delivered today. I may keep it and give my wife my ceramic if I really like it. The Deployment band wasn't even available to order at the time. I'm not sure I totally understand what all the hype is for the Deployment band, especially given the extra cost.

Either way, if you want one I would jump on it ASAP. By tonight it may be sold out again.

I just ordered the Hermes deployment buckle. I have been waiting for this Watch to become available for quite some time.

Now I need to sell my 42mm Hermes Series 2 Single Tour. I wish I had more patience. Oh well.

Really? ordered an entire 2nd watch. Isn't it practically the same band? Why not wait for the bands themselves to be available and purchase one then seeing how you already have the watch? Again, I must be missing something, about all the hype with the DB.

I don't believe the band is available separately. I figure I'll lose a little on the sale of my old Watch but I'd rather have the Deployment Buckle than the Single Tour.

It's possible they could eventually become available separately. After all, other Hermes bands were initially only sold with the watch, but later became available for buying band only.

That is a possibility but if that doesn't happen then I'll really have a used Watch and the band will also be severely worn. I'd rather go down this path. At least I'll have the band that I want as soon as possible.

I'm in the uk...they're not showing on the uk Hermès site...That's so frustrating...I also have a store card from Apple that I'm using to pay for some of it so I need to buy direct.

Ah well. I'm in the UK too - I got mine from the UK site. Keeps popping up sporadically. I'll hand deliver you mine tomorrow - for £5k. ;)

I would love the Deployment, but I can barely get the 42MM Single Tour to fit on my wrist. I'm on the last hole for that baby. If the leather ever stretches, even a little, it'll be too loose.

Not complaining, though. It's a gorgeous watch. I'm glad it actually fits! I can get by with the sport band on the 1st or 2nd hole, depending on the time of day. I like it way more than I thought I would!

What is the size of your wrist?
