I would love the Deployment, but I can barely get the 42MM Single Tour to fit on my wrist. I'm on the last hole for that baby. If the leather ever stretches, even a little, it'll be too loose.

Not complaining, though. It's a gorgeous watch. I'm glad it actually fits! I can get by with the sport band on the 1st or 2nd hole, depending on the time of day. I like it way more than I thought I would!
If the deployment did fit for you, the deployment buckle would be on the side of your wrist vs on the underside of your wrist as intended. The downside of the deployment is its limited range.

The Deployment buckle is better than the Single Tour, but it probably wasn't worth the cost for me (since I sold my Single Tour at a loss and paid $200 more for the Deployment buckle). Hermes should be able to add a hole for you on the band. I know they offer this service for their leather belts. I would call your local boutique and see if there is anything that they can do.

Excellent idea! I'll call to inquire. :)

That's pretty much how I envisioned it.

Last year, when I asked if they could add an extra hole to a double tour band, they said they didn't do that.

I am thinking of getting the size 42 as a Christmas pressie. But I am definitely sure that the straps it comes with won't fit me (my wrist is 15cm) & there aren't many band options available right now. Has anyone tried to check if the strap for 38 fits a 42 (and vice versa) without altering the lugs?

They fit. But, they look like crap to me. I'm not sure I'd go that route.

Ahh... good to know. I am thinking a leather smith could do it and not mess it up, but I'm good unless this strap stretches. Looks perfectly fine on the last hole, really. I'm surprised it looks that good.

I also have a wrist around 150-155 mm, and the problem with the 42 is the watch itself is wider than the widest part of my wrist. Therefore, it wouldn't sit right, even if I could attach a shorter band, or punch extra holes in a 42 band. So I strongly suggest you try on a watch before you buy, or get it from somewhere with a no questions return policy, because there's a strong chance 42 simply won't fit.

It will click on but looks pretty bad. The edges won't line up properly. You should indeed try on both sizes at a store to find the best fit.

Are you dead set on the 42mm? If so, why? At that size of wrist, it just doesn't really look as good as 38mm. Not to mention none of the default bands will fit

anyone with the hermès series 2 who also has one of the orange OEM sports bands?

in the sunlight, my orange band looks exactly how the hermès band appears on my monitor, so i'm interested to see a comparison (as the media shots suggest it should be more vibrant than mine)

Any men out there with the saddle brown Double Tour?
While Apple won't explicitly state that the 38mm is aimed for women and the 42mm is aimed for men, you likely won't find any men wearing a 38mm double tour.

Wow, didn't even know the Double Tour is 38 exclusive
It looks great, although a bit feminine

Go with what you like.

My only comment is that the extra screen real estate from the extra 4mm goes a long way. My wife's 38mm feels small and hard to navigate compared to my 42mm. My fingers are also fatter than hers.

add to that, unless the large variant is bought separately, the largest wrist it fits is 160mm. which is very very very much on the small side for a male.

I have a small wrist (Being I'm 14,M) and it's disapointing to hear the 42mm Hermes model doesn't ship with the small Sport band

I doubt I'll ever own an Hermes model (price is a "little" high) but I'm always looking out on Ebay

as a young 14 year old, it would be wise to remove the word 'doubt' from your reality.

anything is possible.

Thanks, I will now be looking everywhere for a Apple Watch Series 2 Hermes lying somewhere in a brand new box while nobody is paying attention to the $1200 watch, and lets me take it without alerting the authorities

Haha

Ummm. I think it was a response to "doubt I'll ever own."

Bit early to assume.

Bit early to assume what? He was replying to me, I can say whatever I want back

Yes. But, you're saying you'll never own an Hermes AW and you're only 14. You have no idea how long Apple and Hermes will be partnering to create AW models. In a few years, you may well save up some money from working part-time and buy one.

That was what the other poster meant. ;)

maybe he's optimistic that by the time he's earning, we won't be wearing watches at all?

True... But I want one right now!
