Most likely since gen 1 black is no longer in production and produced the Sport band for the limited Hermès Noir with Noir packaging.

Ja, it's extremely comfortable esp. with my wide wrists. Makes taking the watch off more secure and without wrecking the straps. Wish the deployment was available separately and more colors. Now if only they had an Orange Swift deployment /drools.

I've had deployment clasps on a few of my mechanical watches - JLC, IWC, Officine Panerai, A. Lange & Söhne – where the straps are 2x+ the price of AW Hermès straps and deployment clasps are $500+ depending on the material (SS, PVD SS, titanium, rose gold, platinum).

Hermes straps are the most comfortable I ever wore. Good to know $350 is a good value, relatively speaking.

Nice! I posted a comparison photo earlier showing gen 1 with Hermès Noir sport strap and current gen 2.

Ordered a couple more sport straps in other colors and another gen 1 black from Chargerstone last night received shipping notification early this morning with straps already in transit.

Etain is more of a taupe while étoupe is more of a dark brown. I’d say they’re in the same family But etain is lighter.

Here a pic of my straps with Étoupe and Étain side by side. As mentioned previously Étoupe is warm grey with brown undertones where Étain is a more neutral grey.

Yeah I think etain literally translates to tin and etoupe isn’t a straight cognate for taupe like I once thought.

It corresponds to a group of fibers that maybe encompasses something taupe colored but online dictionaries mark it as “oakum”...like twine or hemp type fiber? We need a native speaker 🤷🏻‍♂️

Not that Apple and Hermes need to match but just as a reference the Taupe classic buckle is significantly lighter than etoupe.

Great. Perfect!! As I have the Etain band. I like the warm grey with brown undertones. That is the color I actually painted the outside of my house. It is a grey with warm
Brown undertones. No wonder it am drawn to it!! Great collection. If you are interested I have the black/white/fold band from earlier this year up for sale!! I see it is missing from your collection. Lol. Mine was never worn. Just trying to add more Dolores bands to my collection as I have mostly black bands. Took a bold step buying the orange Swift!!

Just an updated on my Hermes order. Bought about a month ago, delivery range of October 14 through 21 (Hermes single tour). Well today is the 13th and the order still hasn't processed yet. Hope it does soon! Wait for my first Apple Watch is getting to me.

Good 👁.

I’m extremely hyper about changing my California face but the ceramic stays on Devanagari purely for the Hermes fake out.

I’m actually quite addicted to Pills rn everywhere else as the California option just looks really tired after so long.
 
Well after realizing that I LOVE the look of then SBSS case, I returned my SS Deployment watch and ordered a Noir Single Tour SBSS. Should be here tomorrow!
I, over the years, always went for SS because of better versatility with lugs/straps but in the end, I realized that I only ever really wear my black sport band or black Hermes strap :p
I have my Orange Hermes sport band from a previous Hermes watch so im excited to wear that with SBSS for halloween!
Has anyone found GOOD space black lugs? I'm debating picking up one more strap specifically but it has SS lugs.

With all the talk about whether or not there will be an official Apple leather case for the iPhone, it got me thinking that a Hermes leather iPhone case would be awesome. I'm surprised Apple and Hermes haven't collaborated more.
