Sorry, I couldn’t tell whether the watch you have is gold or silver SS. I’ve always been wary of matching gold with gold, silver with silver between Hermès bands and Apple Watch’s, just curious what you’ve got set up!
There has never been a gold Hermès Apple Watch (unfortunately)

Ahh.. so that’s a silver finish.

currently have a ss gold watch, was curious if the metals match on the brown Hermès band.
None of the Hermès bands have gold hardware, as they don’t make a casing in that color. The fauve (if that is the one you’re asking about) band has stainless steel hardware.

I’ve always gotten Space Black Apple watches. From the very first series, loved that version. I’ve worn it on the bracelet 90% of the time since that first series.

I was disappointed when Apple discontinued it and moved Space Black exclusively to Hermès. Never looked at Hermès until I decided to upgrade to the Series 6. Part of me considered not even trying the leather, and just sell the straps so I had the Space Black with the bonus of the exclusive faces. When I looked through this thread, and watched and red reviews, the leather was so bragged about. I decided to just try em, and the hype was so true about this leather. The highest quality, and most comfortable straps I’ve worn. I have just wished they came out with the deployment, and offered the brown straps with Space Black metal as an option.

My birthday was this week, I’ve been looking at the brown straps since I got the black ones. I love the patina that brown leather develops. Thinking about it for weeks, I had considered the Silver Stainless steel with the brown straps, but only if it had the deployment option which seemed discontinued and only available on dark brown which I didn’t want.

I decided to check out the Hermès site today and was happy to find out they exclusively sell the Fauve Barenia calfskin deployment. You can actually choose the watch you want and configure any types of straps you want to purchase. I called the Hermès stores near me, and the Meatpacking district store in NYC had them in stock. I set the appointment, drove up, and enjoyed an excellent service experience. Busted out the credit card, made the purchase, and I am VERY happy. Part of me is wondering if I should keep both or sell one.

Anyone here with both colors as well?

I have both and love the flexibility it provides me, but my Space Black is a Series 5 and the Stainless Steel is a Series 6. So historically I have alternated which one I upgrade by selling the oldest. That way, a buyer always has well over a year left on the AppleCare +, which definitely makes for a much easier sale. The flexibility I get between watch choice and band choice is almost unlimited, and, I, too, love the Hermes faces.

Where did you see that space black metal deployment clasp?
Is it available for purchase separately?

They don’t have them at all. I have reached out a few times to Hermès and asked the salesperson at Hermes. She got my hopes up sounding like they had it, but she was mistaken, it was silver metal. As of now, no Space Black Deployment. Hopefully that changes in a future model.

THAT is a smart idea.

Curious, you upgrade the straps to the next version as well?

Does Hermès just sell the Apple Watch without the leather?

“Anyone here with both colors...”

yes! i love the space black stainless, but there aren’t nearly enough bands with the matching hardware, so i have both as well, but like hexagenia my silver stainless is the previous watch. i’ll go back to silver for series 7.

i have 40 or so bands, 15 or so hermès ones, and between face, band, and watch color, the variety is awesome.

i highly recommend you find a black rallye band (one of the only others with black hardware) and if you’re really a glutton for punishment, there’s an outfit or two out there who swap the space black hardware onto bands that didn’t come with it, for an exorbitant price lol.

i put a photo of my collection a few pages back, as have others ... it gets addicting!

for more casual days and exercise, the charcoal braided solo loop and the black nike sport bands look great with space black.

Aw, I got my hopes up too. So far the only ones that come in space black finish are the 1x/2x tour bands. At least that’s what I think based off their website.

the black rallye band was offered in 44mm with black hardware (still available new for twice the original price from resellers) as was the 40mm double tour allover print. i believe that’s it.

Hey, just to throw this out there unless there’s another one. Because of so much activity in this thread, A few months back I started a Hermès Apple Watch Facebook group if there are people that like to discuss it in their own forum along with this thread....

Or just search Facebook groups for Apple Watch Hermès.

Any other forums to discuss just the Hermès Apple Watch?

Does Hermès just sell the Apple Watch without the leather?

Hermes doesn’t sell the watch without the leather, but I have rarely found that to be a problem. Either there is a band that I love or there are very frequently new watches without leather on eBay the first few weeks after release. And resale on the “hot” band directly after release usually goes quickly if you guess right. It’s worked for me. ?

Funny enough I don’t even own a single black Hermes band but I always found the idea of just having a space black watch for one seemed cool.

One could stretch can always buy and change SS to black lugs but like your example it’s just better to have the watches to match.

The only Hermes band I wanted was the fauve deployment. Purchased immediately when I saw Hermes sold it direct. When I upgrade to the S7 or 8 I’ll be buying a standard band and just move the deployment over.

That was my thought, but I’ll miss those faces.

My intention is to buy the new Hermes watch when they come out every year and just keep moving my fauve deployment buckle over with each iteration. I purchased it separately so the band that comes with the watch remains unused, which helps a bit with resale of the previous series when the time comes. I just wish they released more color colors with the deployment. Maybe someday!

This is my plan as well. Until I need a new fauve band. Then I’ll transfer the deployment over.

Can someone do me a favor and post a picture of the Apple Watch Series 6 Titanium Space Black and a black Noir Swift Leather Single Tour band? Is the buckle in a matt finish as the Space Black Titanium or shiny as the Stainless Steel Version? What about the end piece of the band that is slid into the watch connector, is this matt as well?

All black leather apple bands are reflective Space Black stainless steel to match every SBSS watch apple has ever put out.

I just got my first SBTi the other day and I think the reflective lugs look fine:

Thanks for the pics. I honestly do not see a significant difference between the matt Ti and the shiny SS lugs. Barely noticeable. I am thinking of getting the noir swift leather single tour. I guess the leather quality is superb?

The leather quality is dangerously good. As in you will want more bands. Supple, beautiful grain, and it takes dye incredibly well...although that’s less appreciated in the noir. It’s just a pleasure to touch. I get why people love Birkin bags enough to be cancelled for them, like so many covid Marie Antoinettes.

And yes the SBTi has a nice shine in the light, it’s more in lower light situations it starts looking like a black aluminum.
