Start with this post below (post #4792) and work your way back. I have never attempted this, but it appears several WATCH Hermès owners had some success.
This thread is a blessing. I just managed to order a replacement black hermès sport band for my SS watch. Was quite easy. I made sure to state in the chat I needed a replacement Hermes Sport Band (black). Should be here in a week.

It’s very simple. Just call apple support and use your serial number or start a case via the Hermes watch from your support profile. In their system it’s called something like “orange, Hermes sport band, 44mm.” You can’t order both colors if you want.

Often the representative will be unfamiliar with the process and you have to walk them through it. Treat it like a repair. Say you lost it. It’s $49 plus shipping. They send you a purchase link via email.

edit: can* order both colors if you want

Usually Occam’s Razor has you covered. If the lugs have the MfW markings and they have the box, it’s unlikely they went to the trouble of faking those aspects. There’s a lot of legit sellers on eBay and Posh and Mercari. The Japanese sellers mark up by literally 200%. Feel free to post any you’re looking at here and we can suss it out.
Fauve deployment purchased on eBay arrived today. Came in an Hermès box with ribbon, had the microfiber pouch and paper literature. Thoughts? It seems to have all the right markings for a legit band to my untrained eye.

As for buying an s6 and flipping the band, definitely wait until the new bands and there will be a very obvious choice as to what will be a hot re-sell. There might even be some bands you can only get with the watch, although spring might only bring the fall bundle bands as a la carte and not offer new bundle-only.
Decided to go ahead and get the S6 with the Noir deployment. I know I’m going to want it eventually (touching the Fauve for the first time only confirmed that) and that I’ll inevitably lose money trying to flip a band I don’t actually want. Better to just get what I want and save money over the longer term. Watch arrives Thursday and I can’t wait!

Yeah it’s legit. Welcome to the squad! We will await your first pic of the Noir band with the stealth af Noir face!

Thanks! I’m really stoked! Does the silver watch get the Noir face? I thought that was exclusive to the space black variant. I got the silver with the Noir deployment buckle.

I meant the noir dial on the regular face. The numerals are the darkest gray Apple allows on the entire OS, I would bargain. But I also did assume you got the SBSS watch haha. That exclusive face is nice too.

Oh excellent! I have seen pictures of that color for the numerals but figured it was another Space Black exclusive. Really looking forward to Thursday!

Yeah I’m looking to get back to a more traditional watch look, especially with the world opening back up. The lack of bands with matching hardware on the black watches became too limiting, and I am definitely not going to be swapping lugs on Hermès bands. So, it’s silver for me for the foreseeable future.

While I try to wait patiently for my watch to arrive tomorrow, I’ve been browsing through this thread (dangerous since there are many beautiful watches here and I’m trying to avoid picking up any other bands). There were several points where someone asked if the deployment buckle could be switched to another band. While it sounds like some Hermes stores will do a swap for you, it seems to be hit or miss as to whether they will.

I did a little research and it seems like the swap is actually pretty easy to do yourself. I doubt it would take more than 5-10 minutes. (Full disclosure, I do not have a regular Single Tour band to try this on. However, I have removed buckles from other watch bands and it is easy to do).

Materials Needed
  • A small flathead screwdriver (like one uses for eyeglases)
  • A spring bar tool (easily found on Amazon - avoid the cheapos - Bergeon makes a good one)
  • A Hermès band with a regular buckle
  • A Hermès band with a deployment buckle
Steps
  1. Use the screwdriver to remove the deployment buckle from the first band. Watch this video to see how it’s done.
  2. Use the spring bar tool to compress the spring bar and remove the regular buckle from the other band. This video is a good guide.
  3. Move the deployment buckle to the destination band and attach using the screwdriver.
  4. Move the regular buckle to the first band and attach using the spring bar tool.
  5. Done!
Hopefully someone finds this helpful!

My watch arrived yesterday with the Rouge strap and I absolutely love it. I also tried it with the Navy double tour which looks almost black and I'm very happy. Today I got onto Apple support and requested the black sports band which hopefully arrives soon.
I took some photos last night so apologies for the pic quality but the red is really vibrant and I'm glad I went with it.

That navy is perfection, has me considering lug surgery for my noir double.

Hermes has been making watches for a long time. then it is clear that if one wants a jewel watch (investment in time) he does not take hermes but makes other choices
Lol are you calling their first men’s watch ugly? As nice as the finishing is...yeah it’s a blob only a parent could love. But those numerals would look smokin’ on an Watch

this a classic sport IWC IW329301, then if you have two pennies to spend and invest IWC IW395503. movement and manufacture are not in the hands of Hermes because they have no competence. then you can put all the precious metals you want in it, but two things are important in a watch: movement and manufacture.

Nicely put and absolutely correct. In terms of high end watches, Hermès does fashion watches - expensive ones, but nevertheless ;-)

I would love seeing Apple pairing up with JLC or GP - but I suppose it‘s the leather they‘re after in the first place.
