I ordered the 45mm version on launch. My estimated delivery is Nov 16 - 23
Wow, I think the Hermes has gotten more popular over the years. I don’t think we have to worry about it not being offered in the future. When I bought the S4 Hermes I was inspired mainly because I could get it on Launch Day, while the SSS and aluminum I would have to wait about a month, plus I wanted to try a band with a deployant buckle and the AW faces at S4 time wasn’t so good.

What piqued your initial interest in getting a Hermes Apple Watch? I heard of Hermes since S0, but didn’t pay attention to what they did since I thought and felt they only made silk scarves. Later I read an article about how comfortable their bands were. I’ve always had some kind of comfort complaint with all my previous bands.

Need to choose a band that’s available. This combination is available to order:

Do guys wear their Hermes AW with a different colored lugs?

For example a Space Black watch with silver strap lugs?

I've tried toying around with different colors to see how I'd feel about it (red lugs on black watch) but they never look quite right to me. They always match as closely as I can get it.

Have any of you put a screen protector on the glass for you new watch?

I got one and it was the only one. From China though.
Well something better than nothing.

The only thing I realized is with this screen protector, the touch sensitivity is not that good. May be because of the thicker glass on the Watch and then a screen protector on top of it?

My previous AW was a Series 5 Space Black Stainless Steel and with that I changed my lugs to black. Now with my Stainless Steel Hermes, I need to changed the lugs to silver.

I don’t think a stainless steel AW will look good with black lugs.

How are you guys protect your watch?

I know that not much can be done about the stainless steel Watch as normal wear and tear is bound to happen.

How about the leather bands? How do you keep them in good condition?

I try not to get them wet. Plus I change frequently. That’s it. I don’t baby my watch.

For you Hermes aficionados: how long do you keep your AW? Also do you have access to new release watch faces even if your watch is not the current model? Say, I purchased the Series 7 Hermes, when it comes time for Series 8, will I have access to those new watch faces?

It's a watch. With leather bands. Everything will wear. You'll get scratches, and the bands will look less brand new. Just enjoy it, wear it, and don't worry too hard about it.

Besides, if you're spending $500 on a watch band, I sincerely hope $500 isn't a lot of money for you -- and in which case, who cares? Just buy another band when you want to.

If $500 IS a lot for you, consider not wasting money on luxury brands and get a really nice leather band from Amazon for $20-$50 instead.

Enh, $500 is nothing to scoff at, IMO. Not everyone who buys luxury goods is blowing their nose with $100 bills lol.

Some folks like quality items and will spend more than they normally would to get them. No harm in protecting your investment.

It finally arrived!!!!
I also received the bleu Lin double tour the other day.
I think I need to lose weight as I used to use 3rd or 4th last hole in the band and now I’m on the last ? hopefully the leather relaxes a bit as it’s a bit stiff

Was having mad regrets not getting SBSS this year but this is a good change

And while washing hands I tend to dunk the lot under the running water.
It’s a leather wrist strap it should (and does) withstand water.

It is not about money. I am very particular about all my gadgets. Like to keep them in very good condition.

In the last 2 months I have bought

IPhone 13 Pro Max 1TB
iPad Pro 11” 1TB
Apple Watch Series 7 Hermes

I like to protect all my new gadgets.

I'm the same. I don't like it when things look used. ?

You remove your watch when washing hands?

I will be changing my bands weekly. Or occasionally extra time for the weekend.

Mostly once a week.
I know I'm not the person you're asking this question, but I remove my watch while washing my hands. I have always done it even with normal watches. I don't like the feeling of having a wet band or the feeling of water between my wrist and my wash. It always let me to take off my watch after washing my hands just to make everything dry properly. Then I figured I could just take off the watch beforehand, if I take it off in the process anyway. ?

You've got to be the first one to showcase this beautiful band. Congrats. It looks so chic. What a statement piece! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

Can you post more pictures. How long is the strap, Do show some reveal pics. Hands down gorgeous.

No I don’t. I just try not to get them wet. It doesn’t always work. I do have some water spots but I just use sensitive baby wipes and leather conditioner

I saw another person post a pic a few pages back, so can’t take all the credit as the first Hehe
It’s 10pm now so here is a pic I took while waiting outside earlier and just now under LED lights compared with my old double tours. The Bleu Lin is actually shorter/has holes punched in shorter spot! Regret selling my black non-attelage with the series 5 now though
I’ll try to take some more tomorrow

I’ve always loved Hermès & have had a few pieces over the years. My fave is an Ulysse PM notebook in Bambou that I carry daily to jot down ideas or important info, so I can transfer it to my large agenda. Plus Hermès paper is unmatched & I’m kind of addicted to it LOL!!! I was interested when the first AW Hermès was announced, but it only came in silver stainless which was a no for me. While it’s absolutely beautiful, I just don’t wear silver jewelry. Once they announced the SBSS, I had only had my Gold Stainless S4 for a year & wasn’t planning to sell or upgrade. Now that I feel my battery doesn’t take me through the day, I decided to upgrade to the SBSS Hermès. Can’t wait to actually get my hands on it!!!

I have always worn luxury watches. There was a time i collected Cartier watches and wore those exclusively. Then i sold those and had been only wearing Rolex watches, swtching them up every few years for over twenty years before i bought my first Hermes Apple Watch, Series 3. I was wearing Rolex watches before they were even popular. I didnt wear any other jewelry, but a Rolex. I don’t like rings, or bracelets, or necklaces, watches are my thing and have been ever since i excelled in my career to afford them. A lot of my friends were getting Apple watches in 2017 and before that, and i thought oh those are fun, but if i am not going to wear my Rolex, and switch to an Apple Watch, then it had to be with a more luxurious band. One of my friends told me Hermes and Apple had a collection of Apple watches with exclusive faces and Hermes bands and that piqued my interest. Ordered my first Series 3 directly from Hermes with the Ebene deployment clasp and have bought and sold every series since then. I don’t sell the leather bands as i do collect them, but every once in awhile i will sell a band in the MacRumors forum. I never had trouble selling the Hermes bands in the forum until now, with very little interest in my Noir/White/Gold band which is mint. I gues that band just wasnt popular (i have priced it reasonably at $250). I love the look and feel of the Hermes leather, and then match that with the exclusive watch Hermes faces, it just sets the Apple Watch apart from the others.

I love this question (and also, kudos to you for your correct use of ’piqued’). On an earlier post, I mentioned that it was the orange double tour band on a non-Apple Watch that got me interested in Hermes. At the time, I couldn’t imagine spending a lot of $$ on a watch of any kind. Flash forward a few years. My first Apple Watch was the Series 2, the Nike version (non-cellular). I’d been really happy with it, and then the Series 4 came out. I fell in love with the Series 4 Hermes - the Navy/Orange watch face and Navy/Orange/White leather strap. It was definitely more than I’d ever spent on something for myself (aside from a laptop perhaps). But I couldn’t stop thinking about it, and my husband encouraged me to go for it. And so I did, sort of. I went for the Fauve Barenia double-tour instead of the Navy/Orange/White strap, b/c I wanted something more versatile (and at the time I couldn’t justify purchasing more than one Hermes leather watch strap). I have absolutely loved my Hermes Apple Watch, although I wish I’d also picked up that multi-coloured strap in addition to the Fauve Barenia. It was just so striking. I sort of replicated it by combining halves from two sport bands, but it wasn’t the same, of course. If they ever brought it back, I’d snap it up in a heartbeat.

And now I’m excitedly waiting for my new Series 7 Hermès! I’ve ordered the double-tour in bleu lin, but I’m also considering another leather strap (or two). Once again, the practical side of me thinks I should order navy or black, but I’m also drawn to the orange and lime leather straps - and I’d love to get my hands on the bambou strap (I think it was from last year).

Sorry for the long response - your question brought back happy memories while I await my new Hermes AW!

^^^ All this.

Exclusively wore initially Gucci, then Cartier, then Rolex. Always a tech geek though at heart and in 2015 I alternated between SS AW and Rolex. Then I realised that the AW was just too useful so the Rolex ended up in my draw.

Nearly always worn the SS (non Hermes) model through the generations and treated myself this time around to the Hermes. Going to be hard going back now IMO. The band is excellent and the faces are the only ones I use now. I said in another thread (or maybe this one) that your watch is the thing you look at most in a day and now with the Hermes I have a smile each time I look at it...just like I did with the Cartier and Rolex. I'm not pretending it is a Rolex or Cartier, but it gives me pleasure and I am in the position to enjoy it so why not :)
