It might be the lightning but the SS lugs of the band aren’t that noticeable next to the SB watch.
The difference in color honestly wasn’t bad. SS lugs against the SB does/wouldn’t bother me. I’m more concerned with the color of the leather.
I saw a post on here from 2017, post #913, and the band has a beautiful patina. I’m also on Reddit and saw another beautiful patina on there. These bands were paired with the regular SS, not the SB.
Would the Fauve, regardless of patina, work with the SB? Thoughts?
I think that it will darken over time and looks even better with SB watch
I think darker brown leather looks very chic with black and I tend to wear this combo often. Just take my opinion with a grain of salt as I’m a physics nerd and style has never been my strong suit.
I also love the color combination! (And not just because I’m brown and usually wear black lol!)
I use this face a lot because I love the combo. It’s a bit richer than in the pic but I had to tweak it because it photographed closer to orange.
It’s definitely a good deal and AOD is huge, but the question is how long will you be able to live without the new series 7 display?
Essentially, is it worth sinking this money or can you afford the delta to just get the S7 (full price now or hold out for a deal that’s somewhere between $700 and full price, anytime from now to a year when random used S7 deals will pop up).
Others disagree but I really think they're phasing out Fauve Barenia and replacing it with gold swift.
Interested to see how gold swift patinas over time and if it gets as dark as the Fauve.

I obtained my Watch through Hermès (first an online order then in person exchange) and selected the single tour Noir strap to go with it. The band is too big for me and I’m thinking of selling it. IF I ever have to give the Watch to Apple for a replacement do I need to have this band as part of the exchange? I have AppleCare+ if that makes a difference.

decided to get one myself after looking at all these elegant watches. now the problem is trying to be able to order one through apple which is still currently unavailable for my combinations.
Anyone has kraft orange jumping tour with sbss combination? Either that or noir single tour with sbss.. wonder how that looks like.

Did you get it?!?!?!Original date Nov 16-23…Apple says Nov 9 & Fedex says today, but my package was last scanned in Memphis last night & I’m in DC. We’ll see what happens. If I don’t get it today I’ll have to wait until Tuesday since I’ll be back home in Cali for the weekend

From what I’ve read before getting my Watch the Fauve Barenia is a higher quality leather. Why replace it? Any chance my Noir swift will patina?

I’m the type to put a case on something new to protect it and keep it there. I’ve never had my phone or past watches out of a case like the Hermès currently is. Is yours in a case? Which model do you have?
The space black can be a bit too monolithic, but I prefer the space black because of the scratch resistance. It is very resistant to scratches. So you needn't worry too much about it. However, the case adds a little extra something that makes the watch stand out a bit more, and that is something I think would improve the look of the watch. It needs something to make the case standout a bit more from the screen. That's what the case appeared to do. A high gloss black skin could also work? Or maybe a thinner clear case to refract a bit more light-- stealthy and blinging at the same time-like a patent leather, a little more variation in texture.
I think because the series 7 screen is closer to the edge the differentiation between the case and the screen isn't so dramatic when the difference is apparant. That's what I like about the stainless steel case for the 7 series. On previous watches the stainless still was a little to much, but the new form factor of the screen lessens the impact of the steel and it works, but it also scratches horribly.

It, finally, departed Memphis at about 3pm & arrived in Dulles (just outside of DC) just after 7pm. It’s now scheduled to be delivered by noon today. Sadly, I’m on the first flight to California this morning. My daughter will pickup the package for me & I’ll have a nice little gift waiting for me when I get back Tuesday.

If you're not too attached to going through Apple, you could try ordering directly with Hermes. They got mine out the next day when I ordered earlier this week, while Apple's still showing 4-5 week lead times.
Hermes seems to have really good available stock compared to Apple. I wish they would get the SS with the single Noir band. Finally decided that is the one I want. Have it ordered with Apple and it will not be here until Dec 8th. Also - ordered the Gold Single SS, as it was slated to arrive around Nov 23. But, really think I want the Noir. Looks classic.
