The longer I wear my non-Hermès S7, the more I miss the Hermès watch faces. None of the others are anywhere near as elegant. Such a sly, underhanded way to upsell if you happen to be a customer who cares about these things. A beautiful Rip-off, Designed by Apple in California & Hermès in Paris.

Edit: order placed. Well played, Apple.
The upsell for the dials/faces (does dials or faces sound better?) is not that bad. A MacRumors member calculated the differential which is composed of the extra dials and extra year of warranty to be about $200. How much would you value the extra year of warranty, $50?

In Europe, the difference between a regular Stainless Steel Watch (with Sport Band) and an Hermès Watch (with Single Tour and Hermès Sport Band) is exactly 600 €. The Single Tour by itself costs 369 €. So theoretically you pay 231 € for the exclusive watch faces and the extra year of warranty. Which is ok, I guess … but only if you rate the Single Tour at that MSRP of 369 €. Most of my Hermès bands I got new or lightly used for about 200 € on ebay (or similar marketplaces), though.

Ran out of Attelage and non-Attelage leather bands this season that really caught my eye, so I moved on to this nylon beauty. The Lime and Kraft colors are somewhat “iridescent” to the light. It is definitely going to be my go-to for summer (unless Spring 2022 collection brings something even better).

Hello! New soon-to-be Hermes AW wearer here :)
I just received my 41mm AW with the Gold Attelage Double Tour but with my olive-y/darker skin tone, I found that the colour doesn't look too nice on me. Well, the more I wear it (at home), the more it does grow on me but I also just ordered the 41mm black/noir Attelage DT as well to see if that one looks better on me. Surprisingly, I can't find many photos of the thinner black DT band online. Is it not very popular? Does anyone have it? I'm wondering if it will be too boring/dark and not as wow factor as the gold/tan coloured DTs. Any thoughts?

yep! I love mine! I love the elegance of the black.

I've never really understood the Attelage bands. Doesn't that gap between the watch bother you? That would drive me crazy.

Nope! haha :) that's actually what I love about it! You don't notice it too much... I don't think? I don't have much experience with the other bands though so I'm not the best to give an answer actually lol

I love it. I think it distinguishes the bands and also gives them a distinct style.

No don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking the band at all. Its just not something that I think I would wear as that gap would bug me. Yours looks very nice on you.

No. Actually that's the appeal. It gives it a little bit of breathing room, rather than heavy watch followed immediately by wide leather bands. But I get it, not everyone likes it.

Style wise it pays tribute to the whole Hermes harness (horse harness, buckles, tradition). So I think it's very pretty. Hermes has a whole Attelage collection of necklaces, bracelets and rings inspired by this design.

I got mine yesterday and love it already! It has that little distinctive something that makes it so special and nice to wear too! Thinking already about getting a second one, Rouge H most probably.

No I get that and I guess it would appeal to me more if the gap were on both sides like it is on the ring and necklace. I just don't particularly like how there's only a gap on one side. It would personally bug me that's all.

I saw your pics and it looks lovely. As much as I love the Hermes bands, I personally wouldn't be able to look at the gap on just the one side and would like that band better if the gap were on both sides of the connectors.

Huh. I just noticed that while Hermès sells the Lime jumping tour and Lime leather single tour, there is no Lime color option for the watch face. Am I missing something?

It‘s just random. There are many Hermès straps without matching watch face colour.
