No I get that and I guess it would appeal to me more if the gap were on both sides like it is on the ring and necklace. I just don't particularly like how there's only a gap on one side. It would personally bug me that's all.

I just noticed this. Oh my, I didn’t realize they were uneven. I mean, I didn’t notice it at first so maybe it won’t bother me too much. Another thing to consider! So strange why it isn’t on both sides!

Merry Christmas everyone! Got myself the first Hermes Apple Watch 7. Previously coming from a series 4 Aluminum.

Stainless Steel Noir deployment buckle… Wife was suggesting the Fauve Barénia Leather Single Tour Deployment Buckle look much better. Now i am in a huge dilemma. i Do have the holiday seasons to go for the exchange though.

any comments Or suggestion? that goes well with suit or shirt pants.
I got the same combo as you this Christmas. The Fauve leather will darken and patina in a way that the noir won’t. This could be a pro or con depending on your perspective. Personally, I love the simple understated look of the noir. Congrats either way.

View attachment 1935872Ran out of Attelage and non-Attelage leather bands this season that really caught my eye, so I moved on to this nylon beauty. The Lime and Kraft colors are somewhat “iridescent” to the light. It is definitely going to be my go-to for summer (unless Spring 2022 collection brings something even better).View attachment 1935874
I just got a SS S7 with this band as well. It doesn’t appear to be popular based on what I’ve seen on forums, web searches and whatnot, but it’s a really stunning band. I have an Hermes leather band as well, but the Lime Jumping Single tour is a real looker and a bit more practical as an everyday wear. Congrats

Little anecdote today at the Hermes shop: I went there today to pick up Etoupe single tour and took the Noir deployment buckle with me, to get that extra hole added. And while I was at it, I asked for an extra hole on the Etoupe as well.

After waiting at least 20 minutes, the salesperson comes back to me, hands me both bands back. On Etoupe, the new hole was not perfectly aligned with the existing ones! (on the Noir band it was perfect). So of course I say it is not acceptable. Another 20 minutes go by.... and they come back to me with an entirely new band, box and all! Of course they did it correctly the second time. I guess when you pay that much for a band, a simple frown is enough for them to go back and try again...

FWIW, the additional hole is a bit smaller than the existing ones but in time as the band stretches it kind of grows to the normal size. At least that's what I've been told...

Ooh. Did you pick up the 41mm or 45mm? I would love a 41mm band but I don't see it on their site. I'm still new to this all so I don't really know what is even an option.

As it should be! I wonder what they will do with that first band.
Years ago, a friend of mine bought a wallet at LV and they had hot stamped it with his initials but it was so obviously crooked. When I told them we wouldn't accept it, they tried to guilt trip him that the wallet would now go to waste, etc., and they were not impressed that I stood my ground to get a new one. I hope the SA at Hermes was more friendly about it!

It's the 45mm. Hermès has unfortunately this stupid approach that big watches are for beefy wrists only ??

Hermès was way more friendly. I politely pointed out that this "didn't look good" and they got the point immediately. Never a word about the band going to waste.

I don't want to sound much like the snob I probably am, but I'm no big fan of LV products nor of the brand either. Ugh.

I am on the fence with a Jumping Band. I really want a Hermès strap that I can use for workouts and everyday that isn't leather, but feel a bit aggrieved to pay £319 for a Nylon strap. What is the quality like? I see the Orange/Blue is back in stock in the UK Apple store and am tempted, but for a bit more I could get another nice Hermès leather strap and I already have about 20 sport bands as well as 6 Apple leather ones.

Oh first world problems.

First world problem indeed. I would stick with regular Apple sport bands for workouts. You can own so many colors. I do a lot of cardio and HIIT and around the house I always wear my Hermes AW with sport bands.

The Hermes nylon straps are super nice, but if I owned one, I would not wear it for workouts. Just me.

I have the Nylon band and the quality and craftsmanship is amazing. These Hermes bands are just so above and beyond any other bands in terms of quality, materials, build and craftsmanship. I would never wear the Nylon band to work out. Ever. Or any of the Hermes bands. I would stick with one of my sports bands for that. For sure.

I think the only answer you’ll get here is a resounding yes.
Well, I gave it a pass. Nice color but I already have some attelage bands (orange, fauve) and while I kind of like this style I don’t like it enough to wear these bands every day.

I do have the nylon one (Bleu noir) as Daily driver, for everything. Swimming, snowboarding, sauna, CrossFit, shower… it takes a while to get dry again, but looks like first day. Excellent quality, at least mine so far.

And therefore the leather ones keep their magic longer, as I always look forward in wearing those.

I use the orange sport band that came with the watch for workouts. I just got the nylon jumping tour and it’s really quite something. It’s extremely sturdy and the woven nylon itself is thick and there’s a lot of it. It’s not like any other flimsy nylon band offered by Apple or other third-parties. I intend to wear it when I’m more active and worry the leather will scuff or get wet.

The buckle & pin of the Jumping feels more secure than the push pin of the sports band too when doing something very active like swimming or snowboarding.

Thanks all - I am now even more on the fence lol over the Jumping.

On the one hand I really want a non leather Hermès band, but on the other for a little more I could expand my Hermès leather band collection whilst using my sport or solo loops for exercise and/or activities I may damage the leather.

As I said before...first world problems!
