The Hermès gets the special watch faces and is also etched. But other than that it is the stainless steel. I do wonder they don't sell an Hermès Edition in ceramic.

Does anyone know why this isn't pinned at the top of the forum anymore? It looks like they removed this one and the edition thread.

It’s pretty straight forward.

The edition is called the edition as Apple needed to differentiate it from the standard models. “Apple Watch Ceramic” isn’t a name that necessarily commands a high price tag.

Hermes brand sells itself so Apple didn’t need to give it a fancy name.

It’s not a case of either being more exclusive or better. It’s Apples way of differentiation to ensure maximum sales.

I’m guessing nobody in the UK has movement on there Hermes watches? I am still at processing; delivery 25-27.

I even changed the delivery address as I will be at a different location next week so I really hope it doesn’t suddenly change to shipped tonight!

My 42 Hermès changed status to “Preparing for Shipment” last night here in Australia. Ordered at 5.04pm.

Still delivers 25/9-27/9.

But credit card only charged for AppleCare+ and not the actual watch. So bizarre.

My Ebene Barenia with Deployment Buckle shipped around 4pm UK time today - DPD are showing delivery Monday (shame they don’t do Saturday delivery!).

Unfortunately I will be out working in the day so will have to collect from the depot at the end of the day.

I’d happily collect it on your behalf, not a problem at all!

I ordered the Hermes Double Tour in Fauve Barenia and a cuff band in Etoupe around 11:30 from H.com & they already shipped out about 2 pm!!! I'm so excited as this will be my first Apple Hermes watch. I wear mine non stop from the beginning. I have version 2 now.
Now I need to cancel my order at Apple since it won't ship for 3-4 weeks.

You mean the Space Black Stainless Steel? The stainless steel lugs on the Hermès bands are the things that clash with the SBSS. If you can get black lugs, then it would look much better to be honest.

Thanks for all the advice. I ended up getting HERMES watch today at Apple store Regents street.

I got mine today but probably going to return. I have a 42 mm S0 now and didn't really think to check the sizing of the Hermes bands. For both of the included I have to use the smallest hole and even then the watch isn't as tight to my wrist as I would like. Kind of sucks that I have to either get the smaller watch (38) or no Hermes

As far as I’m aware spacing on the Hermes leather straps and standard Apple leather straps are the same.

Maybe you should have gone for a deployment buckle? If you return it you will lose the Hermes faces which I actually think are great. It’s a shame Apple doesn’t have a similar standard watch face.

The apple leather band is for wrists 150 mm and up while Hermes is 165 mm and up (with the 42 mm watch). It looks like the deployment buckle is also 165 mm and up. The sport band is also too big for me. I should have just done a little more research prior to ordering since I have miniature sized wrists. Planning on going into my local store tomorrow to return and take a look at some of the other models.

Have you thought about punching another hole on the leather band?
