I’m a glutton for punishment. My son wanted a new Apple Watch for Christmas and didn’t care if that was all he got. I didn’t want to do that and since I was debating getting the LTE Watch 3, I have him my series 2 Hermès minus the leather band :)

Ordered the Hermès Series 3 with the indigo band and it came today. Had great success setting up the LTE for my daughters SS yesterday so I expect this will be the same today.

Wanted the SBSS but didn’t want several of my expensive bands, Hermès and Link to be a waste.

Expensive guilty pleasure but the band is beautiful and the explorer and Hermès faces are great.

I really do love the Hermes band and the faces are nice. I just never liked feeling like I had to use them or what was the point in owning the Hermes? Yeah.. that might be odd, but I'm like that.

I sold my Hermes and bought a regular SS S3. I'm happy. :D

I'll probably buy another Hermes at some point. I want to see what happens with S4 of the watch.

Definitely will snag another leather band or two. I like those more than the rest of the perks of the Hermes.

The bands are the selling point but you can save $100+ getting SS S3 and just buy the bands. No matter how good the faces are, they aren’t worth that price. However, I just like the premium package deal but totally understand anyone not getting it for the price. Same as I agree with anyone getting ceramic or Hermès and paying the premium like me. One year old and $1250 is not something I ever do, but my kids make me do stupid things. Lol

Did you sell on EBay or something else and what did you get for it?

I figure that was probably the case, the folks at Hermes were really nice to talk to, and I had called them just to ensure the day I needed to be home from work to sign for it before they sent a shipping notice. No sales-tax outside of NY was the biggest plus!

I would definitely buy anything from H.com again. Everything from the experience, how it was packaged, and the Hermes ribbon was immaculate.
Totally agree!!

I sold it on eBay for 700. Since I bought it last year after selling my S0 SS and an orginal Pride Band (the latter sold for 750 dollars), I pretty much came out ahead.

I really want the Hermes faces but keep reading that the resell value of the Hermes SS is low. So I bought a white ceramic instead and an extra Hermes band.

The Fauve Barnenia that I got out of the box is much lighter in colour than Apples saddle brown. Is this normal?

My Fauve Barenia Leather Single Tour just arrived! Kind of a surprise, as the estimate said 3-4 weeks and it arrived in 4 days. I doubt new photos are needed, as there are many good photos in this thread. I really appreciate the leather feel, and the orange sport band is a bonus. Activation and adding the ATT line went perfect.

I am upgrading from the first version of the watch, so this is quite a leap. LTE and water resistant. For my travel, the ability to leave my phone in the hotel while I try out the pool is a huge draw!

And, of course, I finally have a rectangular face on a rectangular watch.

So I've had the AWE White Ceramic for a week and have decided to return it and go for the Hermes 42mm Indigo Swift Leather, direct from Hermes (Apple Store didn't have any Hermes in stock).

I could't decide between the two and read both this and the ceramic thread again and finally settled on the Hermes. Couldn't be happier! The Indigo Swift is just as soft and smooth as the Fauve Barenia but the finishing of the indigo side makes it very elegant.

Asking Hermes to punch an additional hole would fit better (see my posts above)-

But how tightly do you wear yours? For example when you twist your wrists back and forth, does the watch move? When you're standing with your arms by your side, is your watch directly resting against the side of your hand?

I am the opposite - returning Hermes and getting AWE. Hermes looks great for sure but it doesn't go well with my 2 young kids. Maybe when the kids get older I'll return to Hermes.

Anyways, for reliable HR reading your watch should not be loose. When you twist your wrist it should not move, nor does it slide up/down when your arm is by your side. However, how loose you want is up to you, some people probably find it more comfortable with some movement. Maybe have Hermes punch 2 holes for you just in case. Also if your watch is too loose it makes pressing the crown button harder because your watch moves out of place. Just my personal experience.

To all Series 3 Hermès owners, which band did you go with? I went with the Marine Gala Eperon D’Or band in 38mm.

Fauve Barenia Leather Single Tour on my 42. Just a great classic color.

One thing that I am really happy with is simply the Hermes face. The Apple watch just lends itself to rectangular layouts. You would think they could license faces from Jaeger LeCoultre or Cartier too. JLC Reverso would be fun on the Apple Watch.

Was already in-love with Hermes products for years, and I also like the Ceramic White watch, so it was really only two options in my mind. So obviously if those two ever came together I would be in heaven. But stainless steel is pretty enough, and I got the ébène Barénia Deployment Buckle, works with many outfits and bags.

I would love buy the Rallye band someday.

I too would love to buy the Rallye band as well but I don't understand how they can expect us to buy a whole new watch if we want all the bands from the current Hermes collection. Any ideas how to get the bands without the watches as they don't offer them separately aside from the basic ones.

I figure after awhile that they will eventually offer some of these bands separately.

It's probably more of a exclusive status thing at the moment knowing if someone is wearing a new collection band it obviously came with a new S3 watch.

That’s probably the only reason I can think of. I bought the indigo swift and that was also only bundled with the S3 watch.

They did discontinue the cuff type band from Series 0.

They also discontinued the double-buckle cuff band from the Series 2, thigh you can still get the remaining stock from Hermès.

Since the Hermès is all about fashion we should expect to see the bands change each year.

After wanting the Fauve Barenia since first seeing this forum two years ago, I am so happy to finally be able to post to this thread as an owner of one! The S3 speed bump over my S0, the addition of waterproofing and now cellular (if I want it at some point) was enough to sway me. I used credit card points to make the purchase and offset the sting of the additional cost and all I can say is I LOVE IT!

The leather is even softer than I imagined—and I imagined it would be pretty awesome based on the reviews here in the forum. So, I really want to thank everyone for your input without which I probably would never have taken the plunge. So thanks to all!

PS. I love the red dot. I like red accents on stainless appliances but I wasn't completely sold on it for the Watch until I saw it in person. With the Fauve Barenia band, stainless case and red second hands on some of the faces I think it's a great accent.
