I have a series 2 SS with AC+ on it but im buying a hermes one that has no AC+ Can I transfer my AC+ to that watch?
Unfortunately not unless:
  • The presently-covered device was purchased in the last 30 days and/or
  • AppleCare+ was purchased in the last 14 days.

Thought so. And you need AC+ to do express replacements huh?

I was gonna buy a hermes watch on swappa but it has no AC+ and I live really far from Apple stores. So if anything happens id have to send my watch in huh?

You can do an Express Replacement if you pay the full out of warranty replacement price. You may have to pay a deposit which will be refunded on return of the faulty device.

Nope lol, just gonna wait and buy one that still has AC+

AppleCare+ really isn't worth it on the Watch in my opinion, especially if you get a new one every year.

If something goes wrong functionally with the Watch it is covered under the standard warranty and thus eligible for an Express Replacement anyway provided you pay the deposit.

It seems extremely unlikely that you'd damage it so badly that it needed replacing in daily use. It's stuck to your wrist - you can't drop it like an iPhone.

No you need AC+ to do express replacement. Just got off the phone with apple. No matter what the reason is, ac+ is the only way for express replacement. Big bummer.

Probably not as the AC+ is attached to a specific serial number.

But I've heard others having their AC+ refunded based on the number of years left in the agreement. eg. If you paid $90 for a 3 year coverage and you want to cancel AC+ after 1 year, you can get $60 refunded.

I haven't tried it myself but would be interested to see if you can actually get that if you check with Apple directly.

Well, I did it on a Series 0 Watch of mine that starting flaking and it didn't have AppleCare+. I paid a deposit like I said and was never without my Watch. So... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

But then you have to sell it without AppleCare+ coverage which usually offsets anything you'd get back anyway.

I do not believe you can do this- Apple care is specific to the serial number of the product for which you have purchased. As far as I know it needs to be purchased when you buy said product from Apple or shortley after.

Damn I called Apple again and got a different answer. This is annoying -_-

Mine is from H.com & I love it! I was also told that I can try it on & make sure everything is ok with it...but can not sync it if I want to return it. Mine was perfect!
Awesome thanks! Which model did you get? Got any pics?

Yeah, call back and at least get the same answer from another rep...
I purchased the Series 2 Deployment Buckle from Hermes.com and it was defective. I needed to work with Apple because Hermes would not accept the return due to the inner box being opened - the watch was never synced. It was a huge hassle and the only option was to get an advanced replacement since the item wasn't purchased through Apple (Apple would not do an exchange). I paid for the AppleCare+ and had my replacement watch in 7-10 days after spending 3-4 hours on the phone with Hermes and Apple over the course of 2-3 days.

I learned my lesson and ordered my Series 3 Deployment Buckle through Apple.

Does anyone have pictures of the Rallye band?

I really only want the band, but this band being exclusive might force me to upgrade my entire watch :(

Just confirmed again with another rep that I will be able to try it on. Hopefully everything works smoothly! It's supposed to arrive Wednesday compared to apples November ship date so That was my main motive. Which deployment buckle did you go with this time around?

Good luck. I purchased the Ebene because I prefer the darker color.

I really have no intention of returning it. If anything I would just exchange it for the one you have. Do you have pics by chance? I went with the fauve
I didn't have any intention of returning mine either. It had a screen issue and that caused the problem because I bought it from Hermes. I posted pictures of the Ebene in this thread on Sept 23rd. You can probably just search my username to view them. If I had them handy I'd re-post, but I don't.

I've read a few stories about Hermès being difficult, so personally would buy direct from Apple.

Just to let you know, I ordered my Hermés 38mm Marine Gala from Apple’s website Friday, the 6th, and it shipped early this morning even though there was a 3-4 week shipping date.

Well darn! Oh well. Next time. Not too worried about it.

It's funny cause it seems like I got the last one on hermes.com. They don't have either deployment buckle available for purchase.
