Hi just a simple question. Do you guys think Apple watch SS black colour goes well with Hermes band? Thinking to get Apple Watch Hermès - 42mm Colvert Swift Leather Single Tour . Thanks!

YES! Black and brows are gorgeous together!

Might I suggest this! I use this on all my fine leathers! It’s somehow related to or is a Nordstrom product. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B002...ield+spray&dpPl=1&dpID=31GHfF46kmL&ref=plSrch

Not at all. I don’t think I’d like it even if you found matching lugs. Without matching lugs I think it would be very unattractive.

Do a search of black and brown together in 2017 fashion.
[doublepost=1507933390][/doublepost]This. The lug however is a very different story. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/187392034468811852/

He asked for an opinion and I gave it. Shiny black, stainless lug, and brown is not the same as black and brown together.

If you like it that’s fine but I think it’s a bad combination.

Only downside with my Hermes Series 3 is the Digital Crown is semi mushy when pushed in. It works every time but I prefer a more clicky button.

Mine has a definitive click and isn't mushy at all. I am sure you could get one that clicks normally if it is within the 14 day window.

I’ve tried a couple at the local Apple store. Some have the heavy click. Some are less clicky. Mine clicks but it’s less if that makes sense. I don’t want to risk another issue so I’m going to keep it!

There has been many threads started on this and even some Genius employees are very well aware of those who have questioned the digital crown and the different tactile feel. Every digital crown is likely manufactured slightly different where the button may not have a click or feels softer when pushing it. It's not an issue or defect, it's just how the Apple Watch Crown is made. I'm not saying some can't be defective, but for the majority, there really won't be much consistency with the majority of Watches.

For those who have purchased a S3 42mm Hermes Apple Watch, is the included orange Sport band still one size (i.e, it does not have two "long"/male straps like the regular Sport bands)? Is it the M/L size?

Against my better judgment, actually considering a Hermes this time around.

Yes M/L comes with the 42mm. No second S/M strap.

Many thanks. That's too bad. The M/L strap is almost too long for me, and I would not enjoy using it even though I really like the color. The premium for the Hermes Watch is just too much, as I use the Modular watch face almost exclusively, so I'd basically be paying a huge amount for the leather strap, which I can buy separately. I just ordered a regular S3 SS, as I have a pretty decent collection of straps already.

What size hole on the S/M strap do you use? I use the 4th smallest hole (the middle of the 7 holes) and the smallest hole on the M/L just fits me. It's not too loose at all. I had to ask Hermes to punch an additional hole in my single tour and it fits perfectly now.

I also used to only use the modular faces but I've fallen in love with the Hermes watch faces. I don't use the standard ones anymore unless I'm at the gym and want to track my activity rings.

The Hermes Apple Watch is an experience in itself. Can't really add up the costs of individual components to see whether it's justifiable.

I posted this Hodinkee link in another thread:

It is an interesting and worthwhile read about the Hermes experience and what makes it unique.

Thanks for the response, as well as the link to the article. In many ways, it's not that much different than the high-end watches with a Tiffany marking.

The M/L strap would work; I use the 2nd "largest" hole on the S/M strap, but I really dislike the extra strap length of the M/L strap and would not use it on that basis alone. I generally like the Hermes faces, but mainly because Apple refuses to make available a watch face appropriately designed for a rectangular watch. I've tried some of the simpler analog faces, but I use the complications with some regularity and love the quick access from the watch face. I'd lose that with the Hermes watch faces.

I think Apple's partnering with Hermes was a masterstroke, and certainly when you go into a Hermes store to check out the Apple watches (and I have), it's a completely different experience from the Apple store. That said, and I mean no offense, a Hermes Apple Watch to me doesn't mean as much as, say, the Paul Newman Daytona or a JLC sold through Hermes, because those watches carry value completely separate from the Hermes marking. I love the Apple watches that I've owned (and I'll have owned every generation once I pick up my S3 tomorrow), but a 5 year old Apple watch will be virtually worthless functionally and monetarily, although the gold models will have some value just because of the metal. The additional Hermes watch faces are just software, and the straps, while beautiful, wear out. I view the current Apple Watch as having the development trajectory of the early iPhones - each generation was much better than the prior. Now, a 6S (two generation old, or three if you could the iPhone X) is still a great phone and does what everything I would need a phone to do. Next year's Apple Watch will be a lot better than this year's, and may look completely different, to boot. (I hope not, though; I have a lot of straps.)

Don't get me wrong - I think a watch is very personal, and having the right look and, frankly, feel is important. You wear it every day. I can see how the Hermes Apple Watch can easily be justified based on the look and the quality of the straps - you can't rationalize it. But if I can't really make use of the Sport strap, then all I'm really getting different is the leather strap, and I can just buy that separately.

Off on a tangent here but my S3 Hermes has randomly restarted twice in the last few days.

I bought it from a Hermes store and have AC+.

Should I take it to Hermes or Apple? I knew I should’ve bought it directly from Apple but they didn’t have stock a few weeks ago.

Keen to get a replacement and maybe pay a bit more and get the Rallye or tattoo pattern band.

What’s the best way to make the deployant buckle fit correctly? Seems to sit too high on my wrist. Can hermes fix this? My band size seems to be in between two holes as well. Not sure what to do.

In my situation last year it was 1 day and Hermes wouldn’t take the return. I’d call them if you are within 14 days, but my guess is you’ll need to go through Apple. Most likely it’s a software issue so I wouldnt worry too much yet.

In any event if you want a repair you’ll need to send you watch back to Apple. They will send you a replacement. If you add AppleCare+ then they will send you an express replacement so you don’t have to be without a watch.

I find the deployment buckle uncomfortable for my small and skinny wrist as it is against by bone. Along with other concerns I returned it. If it doesn’t fit at least they can punch a hole. Or in your case you might have use it with the bigger hole and move the watch higher toward your arm. I don’t think there’s a fix for the deployment position.

I bought from hermes directly and already synced it with my phone. I don’t think I’m able to exchange it.

You should be able to sell the Deployment buckle separately at a price close to what you paid minus the watch. Then buy a different Hermes or other band that is sold separately.

I’ll test it out for another week. If I have it on the tighter buckle it sits wrong but if I do one less it’s fine, but the Watch is a bit loose
