Definitely understand the appeal of the Jumping single tour after wearing mine for a full day!

My Hermès bands (so far)

Still trying to find a Noir/Bleu Saphir Jumping band, and still need to swap Space Black hardware onto the Rouge Piment and Encre/Béton
if I were from Hermès I would be very angry to see a wild hardware change. By the way, if a shop or jewelry does, Hermès could bring you to court.

I’m buying the donor bands and swapping it myself because it takes literally seconds, the tools are readily available, and the plentiful shops that do it only have ugly options.

Also they can’t do anything about me modifying the color of something I’ve purchased; this isn’t some sort of licensed software or whatnot, a non-issue.

Hermès could add the option to choose what hardware color a band has at checkout. That would be great. Having replacement hardware available would be even better. Making more than four bands with black hardware? Groundbreaking.

You’re overestimating how little Hermes cares.

The last 3 Hermes stores I’ve been in haven’t even had apple bands in stock. It’s an afterthought for them.

So they aren’t going to sue you for modifying a product you bought and rightly own. Nobody on here signed any agreement when purchasing our watch bands.

Wait so who was that guy in black suit and mirror shades who came to my house with the UPS lady and had me sign a bunch of stuff when I got my Lime Epsom all those years ago

Incredible collection! Where do you find the Space Black hardware to use?

Now that I have had my Jumping for a few days, I find myself really liking it. I especially like the little triangular gap that is formed where the buckle clasps. It really helps my wrist breathe in warm weather.

There is one aspect of the band I am not wild about though. The spots on the band where the nylon has been sealed to prevent fraying are really sharp. The only spot where it is really an issue is where the buckle and keeper loop are sewn in. The corners are especially sharp. That spot scratches the underside of my wrist randomly throughout the day and it is rather annoying. Does anyone have a suggestion about what to do about this? I was thinking about taking a nail file or some sandpaper and trying to wear down the sharp edges just a bit. I don't want to go to far though, as it could cause the nylon to fray over time.

Huh, are they all like that? Never noticed the sharp edge on mine before but I don’t wear them as tight as I can because the next size up is more comfortable.

If they’re indeed all like this and exchanging won’t fix anything, maybe trying to press/mold the edge down with heat like from a hot knife or such would be better than removing the material and potentially allowing it to unravel easier in the future. Would be a very delicate process and who knows, could make it worse. Tricky.

Yeah I guess I should have been a bit more clear. The edge is not sharp in the sense that it would cut skin. Perhaps "scratchy" might have been a better term. But it is definitely annoying. That spot doesn't contact my wrist all the time, but I notice it whenever it does.

Sanding would be easy but at least from what I can see on mine, the sealed edge is only like a hair thick, would probably start unraveling if sanded down.

I have not had the problem with my three Jumping Bands. However, I don’t wear them very tight.

I personally would not try sanding or heat as that could ruin it beyond use. My initial suggestion was to buy something like Moleskin from a pharmacy store and cut it to precisely for over the area but not show too much (the sticky side over the “sharp” edge and the Moleskin side against your wrist) to make it more comfortable without jeopardizing the integrity of the band.

Oh moleskin is a good idea! I think I actually have some around the house somewhere. I’ll give that a try first. Thanks!

I also found this part a bit scratchy at the beginning. Not anymore though.
Maybe it does break in after wearing it a while.
