Still no bambou here in Germany 😢
Bambou is one of these elusive bands - it's really hard to find. I found mine on Discord in an Apple Watch group. Recently, there was another one in similar condition for sale. So apart from keeping an eye on such groups, there isn't much one can do... except get lucky. Or you know someone in the US who can buy one from the store there and send it to you...

You'll eventually find yours, too!

Now that I have had my Jumping for a few days, I find myself really liking it. I especially like the little triangular gap that is formed where the buckle clasps. It really helps my wrist breathe in warm weather.

There is one aspect of the band I am not wild about though. The spots on the band where the nylon has been sealed to prevent fraying are really sharp. The only spot where it is really an issue is where the buckle and keeper loop are sewn in. The corners are especially sharp. That spot scratches the underside of my wrist randomly throughout the day and it is rather annoying. Does anyone have a suggestion about what to do about this? I was thinking about taking a nail file or some sandpaper and trying to wear down the sharp edges just a bit. I don't want to go to far though, as it could cause the nylon to fray over time.

I had the same problem with my orange/blue one. I bought some soft fabric tape, cut two small pieces that fit that spot just right, and put two layers on. Works perfectly. I don’t feel the scratchiness any more.

I happen to have a birthday right at the beginning of September and this is my first bday as a Hermès owner - do new watch bands normally come out with the new Apple watch? My other half is looking at buying me either a Blu Lin of a Jumping, but I am thinking of waiting until mid Sept?

Hi I am partial to the jumping bands. They will be good in a variety of weather conditions and levels of humidity. More so then the leather bands.

When you purchase is a personal choice. Apple’s available bands are limited now. There is more on the Hermes site. However, while Apple Watch announcement should happen by mid September, availability may be delayed. I am not sure how the rumored Rugged Watch will effect what Apple does with the Hermes Watch. All of this may shape your purchase decision if you want it to coincide with your birthday.

Def wait. New Hermes bands with the S8. I mean…small small risk the line gets cancelled. But even then Hermes dot com will have the dead stock for awhile. Although maybe in the unlikely scenario Apple does end the line, would it get disappeared from the Hermes site instantly?

Anyway, Bleu Lin Jumping will prob be around for awhile on the Hermes site after the S8 launch. Bleu Lin leather has been on the Apple Store since fall, so even a chance that will return to the Hermes shop once Apple banishes it September.

Thanks both - I think i will wait, have 2 leather (Gold Swift and Rouge Circuit H) and one Jumping (Kraft/Orange) to keep me going. Really hoping for a Black/white Jumping with silver hardware if I am honest.

Big inflection point for the Jumping colors…is Kraft dead or coming back and just always with us?

Is Gris Clair a one-off Panda look or a new neutral going forward that will get paired with colors?

I would tell her to get Bleu Lin; you’ll have it in hands on your birthday and it‘s really just incredibly nice. Leather Hall of Fame nice. If September brings a new Hermès band you really like, you can always get it for yourself. That being said …

Really hoping for a Black/white Jumping with silver hardware if I am honest.

After we just got this sort of thing with black lugs, the chances that we‘ll get basically the same thing just with silver lugs in the new collection are – IMHO – almost zero.

I'm traveling at the moment, and the neighbouring country has an Hermes band I've had my eye on. I'm debating whether I should pick it up, because it may not work with the series 8, or the Pro model if there is one.

If I wait too long though, it could sell out.

Any advice? Is there good resale value on these?

I’m not convinced the larger model will be supported by Hermes. The rumors claim it to be a more sports watch rather than luxury watch.

The band will work with the series 8 regular for sure. I imagine the fit with the Pro will be like the fit with the SBTi s7.

Resale value is solid but very dependent on color. Look at what’s sold out now. Blanc and Cassis Jumping and Bleu Lin Jumping. Although I personally would only count on Blanc to really resell well.

I’d suggest picking it up but not opening it until the announcement.

Resell value is much higher if it hasn’t been opened.

With the news of the S8 watch being nearly identical to the S7 in looks/processor performance, is anyone else leaning towards just keeping their S7? Once I remembered the Hermes watches come with a 2 year warranty, upgrading again this year became way less appealing. I think I’ll just rock out with the S7 and grab some of the new bands to get my Hermes fix.
