Hermes has a true oldie for sale on their site - 42 mm Noir Box leather single tour from 2015. I’m assuming someone found it in the back room of a store or a warehouse?

Still trying to find a Noir/Bleu Saphir Jumping band, and still need to swap Space Black hardware onto the Rouge Piment and Encre/Béton
What tools did you use to get the OG lugs off with? I have an OG single tour that has the SS lugs, and would love to swap it out for the black ones. I have black lugs, just could never find the right star screwdriver set to take it off.

Didn't you try showering with your jumping band a few months ago? Also you have previously posted that you clean your jumping bands by running them under tap water and then letting them air dry. Did either action damage your bands? If not, I think you have answered your own question. Hermes describes these bands as swim proof so showering with them should be fine.
I have just bought the Kraft/Rouge De Coeur Jumping 45 from eBay in a sealed box and was very happy.
But when it arrived, I found out the colors did not really complement my skin tone. And now I am sad.

I shower with both, swim in lakes and salt water, even water ski, since over a year. The back of the band has some fraying around the holes I use, but likely just due to frequent use, not water damage.

Seems highly unlikely Apple would break compatibility with 42/44/45mm bands for the sake of an extra mm (or 1.25 if it’s 47.5mm) of case size in each direction. Of course less than a mm in width to each side. It could also be 46.5mm rounded up if Apple is trying to capture the Dude Wipes demographic.
Here‘s what adding 1.25mm of height to top and bottom respectively and 0.7mm of width to right and left respectively looked like, I think the sport band is wide enough to tolerate another size jump.

I think I disagree. They said that one of their design goals with Series 7 was to maintain band comparability. Therefore it will be something that will stay with us for a long time (maybe ever). Going from Series 3 > 4 > 7 was always a continuation/evolution so they kind of had to be compatible. With Series 8 and this new „Pro“ version they can do whatever they want because technically all the old bands will stay compatible with Series 8 (just not with this new size). Nobody will complain (except all these sensational YouTubers of course with their usual bs). But suddenly Apple can do a lot more with this new adapter/size. Remember all the patents about smart bands and sensors in the band? That might not come with S8 but it may lay the groundwork and it may not be possible with the current band adapter size.
Also: another band size also means another set of SKUs that Apple can sell. It might not be their primary reasons to introduce it but they will also gladly take the money. They’re the most profitable company for a reason.
