I got the SS Series 8 Hermes with the deployment buckle after getting the Apple Ultra a month ago, and yes, the overall brightness (or apparent magnitude) is more with the Hermes edition than the larger Ultra.

The Hermes I had opened with the latest FM.
Unrelated (although yes now that you mention it re: the circulaire being brighter!) but are you finding yourself using the hermes or ultra more?

I sleep with the Hermes. Drove with it this pass weekend. Went to restaurants. The Ultra for the office and running.

Funny you all mention the brightness in 9.1 for the circulaire as I've been on the beta for a week and never noticed...as I got so annoyed with how dim it was, my goto face was either the classic Hermès or the Lucky Horse.

Just put it on and it is brighter i feel when awake, but still hopelessly dim in wrist down AOD.

One thing I’m seeing true across 9.0 and 9.1 is that the Noir face is almost identical to the rest of the color faces…the second hand is a deeper orange, too, of course. Wish I had a screenshot from Hermes 8.7

Hello,

Is there a big color difference between the old 2020 Vitamin C Apple orange band and the current Hermes orange band?

I have them all listed here.

The AOD 'wrist down' is still annoying dim. Seems the same brightness when 'on/wrist up'. I send apple a bug report almost every day about the dimness of the watchface ;-)

Sure! Glad you like it.

The tray itself is from H&M Home, I'm not sure where you're from, but they stock it in the UK here.

For the felt I took apart two Hermes strap pouches. You can pull apart glued edges quite easily.

Once pulled apart I ironed them both flat (over a t-shirt just in case).

Once ironed and laid flat, the felt is too wide for the tray (just), you need to cut around 0.5CM off left and right.

I then placed the pieces inside the tray. The felt corners are squared off vs the rounded tray corners. So I marked the rounded corners with a pencil. Using the pencil mark, I cut to shape with scissors (not very well... lol). After this they should both fit neatly inside the tray with nothing overlapping.

Once both are cut to size, I glued the first layer down with PVA glue. Left to dry for a short time. Then I glued the 2nd over the top of it (the one with the Hermes logo).

And that's pretty much it! I'm happy with it, and FYI the felt serves a great purpose (as well as looking cool), it really prevents the straps from sliding around inside the tray. You can move the tray around without anything moving which is useful if you are planning on storing it under a bedside table or something.

Does the edges of the Hermes barenia leather feel a little sticky and hard to pass through the rings when new?
Thanks.

Thanks!

BTW, is the leather on the Hermes Single Tour Rouge H / Noir at $449 harder or softer than my Barenia Deployment buckle leather?

When you touch the surface? I guess Swift is harder. Swift is a little more tough while Barenia is more silky. But Swift is still supple and amazing.

They differ more with how they handle color/oil/water.

No. Barenia is technically water resistant but getting it sweaty will make it look more patina’d than you want and much faster.

I wonder if its underside is different than the swift underside…

I keep all my leather bands dry almost to a fault.

Got ya.

After getting my 1st Hermes leather band, the 45mm Fauve Barenia Deployment Buckle (the sticky & tough to thread one..), I am eager to add 2 more.

The 45mm Gold Swift H Diagonal Single
and
Either the 45mm Gold Swift Single or 45mm Orange Swift Single.

Real soon.....

I'm surprised this noble community hasn't reacted yet to the newest Hermes Apple Watch Band...
Holy moly that’s one colourful and vibrant Hermès single tour!

What is the occasion for it to be sold only in the NYC store? Is it part of a special clothing collection?

Shame we can’t buy it cos otherwise I would’ve given up my money so quickly!

As @Cotypubby explains in their post, it's a limited edition band created especially by Hermes to celebrate the opening of its new flagship store on the Upper East Side NYC. It's als already on the Bandbreite app (thanks to our tireless @choreographics 🤗).
