Hmm . . . Honestly, I’m not sure I like the strap. I absolutely love the Hermès orange sports strap that you get as a freebie, but the actual Ébène Barenia Leather Single Tour Deployment Buckle . . . I’m not sold on the colour.
Before I decide to send it back, I’d be interested to know if anyone would want to buy the strap. Just the strap, nothing else.
I like the watch, in a weird, fetishy way I love the box, and I love the sports strap, so I kinda want to keep all those.
Let me know . . .
Bummer, I missed your question. No the latest rev I own is 3, but also because I do not like the rev 4 buckle. IMO too big, but that I just a matter of taste.Do you own an Apple Classic Buckle of the latest (4th) generation with the square buckle? I find those are significantly softer than previous generations.
problem I that the bands can NOT be changed from the deployment buckle, which makes it in fact a very stupid constructionI would totally buy that from you, I have the Fauvena Deployment and love it, but it was hard to pick between the two. I’ll PM you

Not heard from you yet — this is the message I sent to @mhoutman

Thanks for your comments and advice about my new Hermès Apple Watch on MacRumors.
I think my options are . . .
1. Swap it for a different Hermès Apple Watch — I’ve looked at the others, but I’m not wildly excited about any of them. The Marine Gala Leather Single Tour Éperon d’Or does look cool, but I wonder if it might feel gimmicky after a while. And I’m actually just really loving the Hermès orange sports band.
2. Swap it for a non Hermès Apple Watch — this is kind of a boring option as I’d end up getting the Space Black, which is what I’ve already got in Series 2. And I’d lose the Hermès sports strap and faces.
3. Sell the Deployment Buckle — this is currently my favoured option. I’ve put it up on eBay at https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/202112930063 (I don’t know if the price is sensible or crazy!)
I’ve got 13 more days to decide, I guess.
Let me know if you’re interested in making an offer for the strap.
I bought the Grah edition and the Hermès Deployment Buckle. I kept the Hermès. I didn’t like the gray color and there is literally no band selection that works with the edition watches (in my opinion.).
The icing on the cake was the typical Apple Watch faces. Made it an easy decision for me.
I can’t put a 50 cent plastic band on a $1,300 watch, but that’s just me. I had the white Ceramic last year and still not sure why Apple doesn’t make special bands and faces for the Edition watches.I agree that (almost) no bands work with the Edition, except (for the grey one) the band that comes with it and the black sports.
But I’m not a band collector. I just need one I like, then I stick with it. So I’m happy.

Offensive to call a rubber band 50 cents? Ok maybe it costs Apple $5 to manufacture. Either way I think it’s offensive to put such a cheap band on a $1,300 watch.I think it’s unfair bordering on offensive to call the sports strap a 50 cent plastic band. Especially the Edition version, which has a ceramic pin.
But I don’t care. I think it looks and feels great.

If we're using this logic shouldn't we be saying it's offensive putting a $5 strap on a $250 watch?
We can agree to disagree . . . I love all of my Hermes items
I on the other hand struggle to understand why someone would pick the Edition over a regular SS...If anything the SS looks superior (when you factor in its more formal look and band compatibility).
One word 'Durability'
Wow. I'm getting a lot of negativity over my purchase!
I like it. It's that simple.
