In all seriousness could you detail hassle here

With my Ultra I never worry about charging after a workout, because I don’t need to. It lasts me until 10pm when I go to sleep with around 40-45% battery remaining. For the Series models, I need to always think about charging otherwise it dies around 6-7pm.

I worry about enough during the workday, but my Apple Watch should never be one of these things. The Ultra checks the box and the Series does not. The Series has not improved since the beginning which I consider a flaw, but others may disagree depending on their usage.

I mean most of the hardware on Hermes products is stainless steel. So it’s keeping in line with their product design.

And Apple has explored a lot of the materials already used in tradition watch making (gold, aluminum, stainless steel, coated stainless steel, ceramic, titanium). With the exception of carbon fiber(too tacky for a Hermes product), not sure what else that leaves.

So what unique material that Apple has never used before would you suggest?

Again, change for the sake of change is not necessary.

Maybe Apple making the red cellular ring on the crown orange for Hermes would make you happy.

I’d love to see Brushed Stainless, Titanium, or Ceramic reserved for the Hermes models. I’ve bought every Hermes model (returned the 8 and obviously skipped the 9), but the one thing that always bothered me is that is a base stainless model only with a better band.

And yet you haunt the thread for Hermes owners. I’m not saying one has to be an owner to post here but you seem to derive a certain glee from expressing that you’re not a fan of Apple Watch Hermes.

Haunt the thread? I was responding to Schwillin who asked about the Series or Ultra. I explained my rationale and also explained I’ve had the Hermes watch in the past which I think allows me to give my perspective on the two products.

I love Hermes leather (and the Kilim is also speaking to me.). I’ve owned Hermes prodcuts long before they partnered with Apple. I don’t consider the Apple Watch an Hermes product, but love Hermes bands and I think that is what makes the watch special.

I like to stick around to see owners pics of the new bands that I obviously will not own because I have an Ultra this go around.

I have a new update. Basically, it's a "left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing" sort of thing.

Yesterday morning my order status still said my order will be ready to pick up shortly, despite it being over 72 hours. Tried calling the store again, no luck. Phone people said everything looks fine. Decided to make the 90 minute drive up to Irvine to actually speak with someone. I explained the situation to the check-in associate who immediately got a manager to speak with me. He looked over the order, confirmed they don't have that band in stock, and he wasn't sure what happened. He went to the back to check some things from the store's end.

Soon he came back and said they received the order Friday morning when it came in, however they never actually had the band in stock so they sent notice in the system back to the web order team that it wasn't available there. The web order system or team or whatever is supposed to then update the order alert the customer, etc. and that is where the disconnect is happening, I haven't been told anything nor has my order been updated to reflect that. What's even more odd is that the phone associate I spoke with the other day said everything looks fine with the order on their system and the store just has to pull the item and set it aside. The manager wasn't even sure how I was able to select that band for in-store pickup Friday morning if they never even had it to begin with.

He also said that starting with this Series 9 launch, this location was just added as the second location in Orange County to carry Apple Hermes products in store, the other being South Coast Plaza, so if that played any part of this hiccup happening, who knows.

So, no band, no dice. But hey, at least it was beautifully sunny on the drive back home, I had lunch in Dana Point and took some photos with my new 15 Pro Max.

My only recourse at this point is to call the EPP sales team and tell them what the store manager said, and see what can be done. I'll likely just ask for a refund and then keep checking the system for if and when an orange Kilim band shows up.

But titanium and ceramic have already been used in other versions so it’s not unique to Hermes.

And Brushed SS is just a coating so no different than SBSS at that point. Apple even uses brushed SS on their link band.

So if you’re looking for a unique material that hasn’t been used before, we will have to keep searching.

The radial’s spread really benefits this band in terms of making the cuff look even smaller. There’s certain old Hermes classics that I only find on Mercari…🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸

You guys kept posting about how amazing it is which made me keep trying it on which made me realize the fit was actually comfortable. I just needed to get used to where the deployment edge was hitting my wrist. But I still wasn’t sold sold on keeping it because the black was just okay to me. I decided that if they have an orange one around me I’ll go swap them and there was exactly one store nearby that had one. Everything else said available Nov 16. So… meant to be.

The holes are a teeny bit smaller than the originals but the pin fits fine and you can’t really tell. Did it to my noir and orange and both work great.

The Kilim bands were the big surprise for me this year. I didn't initially love them, but after a few days ordered the orange one. I loved the look and comfort of that one so much I have now ordered the navy.
