OMG where did you get the black lugs?? Is really easy to do this? I have a SBSS and 5-6 Hermes bands all in silver... your pic is my wildest dream.I’ve done it a bunch, pretty simple if you’ve got the correct driver (Wiha PL2) to remove the lugs and a standard watchband spring bar removal tool for the buckle. Just take your time so the tool doesn’t jump under pressure and gouge the material.
I’ve been tempted to get a Noir Kilim and do a swap myself but there isn’t a black deployment buckle (yet) and I’m not sure if a standard buckle will lay as nicely with the material given afaik the pin in the deployment buckle is vertical through the sizing hole, whereas the pin in the standard buckle curves at an angle.
Do have a Noir/Gold Twill on order which of course is getting the swap.

Purchased many extra bands to pull the hardware from, have a bunch of backup Noir leathers because of it… 🤫
Stupid? No. A little off? Yes. If it bothers you, you could always get matte/titanium colored third-party lugs.
Also, the „complicated“, slightly bulky, almost over-engineered look of the Kilim actually matches the Ultra design better than the simple elegance of the Series Watches. IMHO, of course.

I actually like the look of the Kilim and I think it gives a whole entire new look to the Series 9 and any Hermes series we choose to wear. My absolute favorite Hermes band ever. I only need the black one now with khaki on order and navy being delivered today. That’s how much I love the band.

I like it, too! They found an ingenious way to make a „luxurious“ strap out of the Sport Band material.
(And I didn‘t mean it looks wrong on the Hermès or regular SSS Watch, not at all. But I think it can also look fab on the Ultra.)
Yes. You said it perfectly!! They found an ingenious new way to make the sport band material luxurious!!! I actually think the material on this Kilim band is way nicer than the regular sports band. It feels softer and more pliable to me when on my wrist. Excellent way to describe it and hits it perfectly on the head.
I have never before wanted every bad in a series. But the durability and flexibility of use for this one plus the deployment buckle just hits it out of the park for me!!! Now just have to chase down that Noir one and wait for my Khaki one from Apple!!!

Not always, only purchased the Attelage bands (the extended lug I prefer to use with leather) at retail price on average and then I have various saved searches in place for the standard Noir band and nab those of which pop up at a good price. Even if the leathers are worn, the SBSS hardware is tough af and likely undamaged so deals can be found.
Currently only have in my possession one extra standard SBSS lug set and one extra Attelage SBSS lug set, standard for the Noir/Gold Twill swap and hopefully, one day, Attelage SBSS for an Equateur Tatouage swap; it screams for black hardware but I won’t be paying more than 150% markup on it because then that’s just odious scalping and I choose not to participate in that, especially because I’ll actually wear the damn thing.
Don’t have the blue bands anymore so the complete collection would then be:
Noir Attelage
Noir/Gold Twill (SBSS Swap)
Equateur Tatouage Attelage (SBSS Swap)
Noir/Gris Clair Jumping
Blanc Attelage (SBSS Swap)

The rest are all in silver: the new orange Kilim (my favourite), 3 jumping and two leather ones (orange and gold-brown).
I have to admit that it doesn't bother me that the colour doesn't fit, but reading people's obsession I'm having second thoughts

The SSS/SBSS contrast works for some bands, don’t feel compelled to do the same.
Guess who’s here!!!!! Navy Bleu Kilim Band and in the Suede pouch too like Apple used to ship the leather bands in. Bought directly from Hermes website in US. NO white paper crap pouch!!! Love the color!!!! For some reason it’s saying my first image of the box with the Hermes ribbon is too big. Also the deployment buckle comes wrapped with plastic on it and apples did not.
This color is not a navy blue in my opinion. More like a soldier blue which is fine with me. It’s a warm and not cold color and I love it. Probably going to just order the Khaki from Hermes too for that pouch!!! lol.

How many on here have got this? I need to buy from Apple as have over £1000 in vouchers (burning a hole in my pocket) to spend. Seems the UK Kilm in Orange is now unavailable
Same. First band to make me truly consider getting a second Watch in SSS.
I also don’t have gold (if you don’t count fauve) except for my noir/blanc belt
I am tempted. 3 week wait though on Apple UK.
Been wearing my Hermes more now (even though the battery life sucks atm (10 hours!) - think it is a WatchOS 10 issue), I think it is due to the new face. Best one yet IMO.
@Nikhil72 @Alicia1 So I got the exact same leather hole punch from Amazon and added one hole to each of my orange and kaki Kilim. I’m ok with the results. The kaki one is slightly off centre but that was my first try. The orange one is perfectly aligned. The holes are smaller in size but the buckle have no issues going through them
Probably not for those who might look to resell these bands, or are very OCD with alignment and same size holes. I don’t plan on selling these off ever so I’m fine with that. If you check your leather bands and the hole you normally use, they are pretty worn anyway.
Now the watch fits perfectly and don’t slide down to my wrist
