Saw this Bleu de France H diagonal on an auction site. What would cause that colour on the back of the band? It’s even across the full band so it can’t be sweat or from usage?

Do the micro-perforations perhaps allow more sweat/oils to soak in on those areas of the band? It appears lighter near the connectors, where the watch typically keeps the band away from the skin.

LOS ANGELES BABY!!
I think it’s real as I’ve bought from the seller before and all his stuff seems to be genuine.

That’s probably why this is being sold 50% cheaper than the rouge one that he has.
I think it’s the way it photographs because the back of the band has perforations. I’ll post pics shortly- can’t sleep. I’ll go through these and find the band. These are ALL MY HERMES LEATHER BANDS, lol! None of these are my Kilim bands. HA!

LOS ANGELES BABY!!
My first Hermes band that started my obsession Ebene Deployment, and the collection of all these boxes that contain all 13 of my leather bands (I have the Ebene and Noir deployments bands in one box) and the other 5 boxes are my Kilim bands!!! Ha!

After criticizing the Swift leather and saying I would be interested in the Barenia if only I could find a new one...I did, on eBay. Not NIB, but very definitely genuine to my eye, the only "wear" I can see is a try-on crease on the near hole and darkening from the amount of time that's passed. Happy to get this since it appears from my research the last time it was offered in the smaller size was Series 6 - back in 2020.

One thing I'm surprised by is that the holes are further out than on my S9 nylon band. Surprised because, if one were to change the hole locations, I'd think you'd want to move them in to accommodate leather stretching. Is this others' experience comparing between leather and nylon straps? It means I have to use one hole smaller on the leather. Which my wrist size will accommodate, luckily...

It’s not nylon vs leather. In the last year or two the hole positions changed on the swift bands (not sure if it did on other leathers) so some of my older swifts fit better than the newer ones. Like my ideal size is between holes.

Aha! Hadn't thought of that. Perhaps un petit pas recognizing the smaller straps are still too big for even some women...

Any theories as to why Hermes decided to re-configure the holes in the strap?

This makes sense now! I wear my leather and jumping bands on the tightest hole. I wear my Toile H and Kilim bands on the second tightest hole since they wouldn’t tighten to the tightest hole. Now I know why!
