Kaki/Gris/Rouge H Bridon single tour 45mm — hate to say it but the one face color they added (canopee) is great for Kaki and Gris

Absolutely love the Bridon, happy with the width choice they made. Need Vermilion now

This looks so much nicer than the renders. Not sure why.
I can see apple being afraid of the hand-knit irregularity of the Bridon or just the perfect ratio cgi squish of the store graphics mushing it into the uncanny valley—including the merging of the widths of the band and chevrons

How are you liking the Hermes s8 compared to the Ultra 2? I am also kinda getting tired of that form factor for the ultra. But i saw on a YouTube that the new shape might look similar to the ultra shape going forward.

For those who can get behind Hermes bands on an Ultra, how do you feel about the Cuivre Diagonal, with its black lugs, on the Ultra? I like the design and have found a nice-condition one for sale.

I have tried my Kilim on the Ultra and I can't get past the shiny lugs against the titanium. I think black may be ok though as I have a black Milanese and that looks ok.

The shiny lugs don't bother me at all tbh.

Yep it does look ok - I just find it looks so much better on my S7 Hermes IMO.

If I ever am Hermesless through I am sure i will wear a Kilim on my Ultra.

I so wanted the Bridon but couldn’t get on board with how thin it looked on the Ultra. The Twill Jump just felt too stiff even though I liked the black/gold version.

How stiff are the Jumping bands compared to the Twill Jump?

I have another week to decide on colour, unsure if the orange is what I want to keep but it goes so nicely with the Ultra’s orange, or if I should be boring and go with noir or kaki.

The Jumpings are even stiffer than the Twill Jump.

A few other observations on the Twill Jump after wearing it for a bit.
  • It is definitely more supple than even later Jumping bands (and much more supple than the earlier Jumpings). I think the band is also slightly thinner.
  • The Twill Jump is narrower at the lugs by about a mm compared to the Jumping bands. This might be a function of not having the diagonal line pattern woven in around the lugs on the Twill. The result is the band doesn't span the whole lug bar and can slide around a little during wear. It hasn't been a big enough issue that I have minded so far, but I wish it was the same width as the Jumping bands. This also makes the band appear almost too narrow for the S7-9 watch face. It's not quite there, but it's on the border. The width of the strap at the clasp is the same as the Jumpings.
  • The Twill Jump has the same number of holes as the Jumping single tours. HOWEVER, the holes are moved up one space smaller on the Twill and are a much closer match to how the holes are punched on the leather bands. If you are someone who wears leather on the smallest hole and couldn't wear the Jumping bands because they were too big, you should be fine with the Twill Jump bands.

Oh :(

What about the leather bands, I don’t have any but how are they in comparison to the Twill Jump (that’s the only thing I have a reference point to, other than the Kilim)
The leather bands are quite supple. Honestly I am a bit surprised you think the Twill Jump is too stiff. They are not as supple as the leather bands. But, compared to the Jumping bands, I would describe them as almost flimsy. I am becoming less of a fan of my Twill Jump the more I wear it. The Jumping bands are a little bit more of a hassle to put on. But they feel much sturdier on the wrist and don't slide around the lug bars either.

But, the leather is softer and more supple than either the Twill Jump or the Jumping bands for sure.
