I hope you have more of these because I think you’ll need one every time someone dares enjoy a kilim or textile band

Ok, an obligatory new watch picture. I got my new (to me) 45mm S10 Hermes watch, with the Noir Kilim band. The S10 Hermes color is like the old Silver SS watches, but the case is a little lighter weight and slightly wider.

Added Comment: I am having to adjust to the apparent thinner Silver bezel. It seems like my eye has to hunt to see the shiny silver, compared to the S7-S9 series. I don't know if I like the new look yet.

I'm sure there's a good reason, but I continue to struggle to understand why Apple pulled the casing slightly away from the display on the S10. The black bezels look noticeably bigger from the S7 to S9, and the gains are a boost of 20 by 12 pixels and a brighter viewing angle. Maybe it has something to do with the thinner case? I just don't get it.

Hello! I am new to the forum and new to Apple Watch Hermes. I am a watch enthusiast and collector and have worn the Apple Watch only for certain activities over the past 4 years. However, the Hermes edition recently caught my eye as something which is handsome enough to wear daily and not just the same Apple Watch that every other first world human seems to be wearing these days!

I am now obsessed with collecting straps for this thing! Glad to find a like minded community here. I love the Hermes leather. The kilim felt stiff and uncomfortable initially but as I have been wearing it over the past week it has really grown on me. I received my S10 with the noir kilim but also ordered the orange and green last night when I saw they were available! I have added a few photos.

Does the silver s10 Hermes look that different from the non-Hermes Steel and Titanium options?

It absolutely has to do with the thinner case; components are pushed out to the sides ever so slightly, hence the case also being wider. I don’t mind the look but I also previously had the Space Black option so the difference between glass and case was nonexistent anyway.

I could not agree more (...besides the fact, that I am not able to collect all the Hermès straps) It adds some unexpecte class to the Apple Watch. Welcome to the club. :)

I went to the AppleStore with my Hermès S9 and compared it with a S10. I was not able to see any real difference. Not tempted at all to upgrade. But that new Ultra 2 Hermès...

Unfortunately they had it in stock... 😁😇

This shade of blue and the contrast stitching… do we think it is the double tour Bleu Jean from fall 2015?

And secondly, do we think that’s a reasonable price?

Old style box and the general resale unavailability of hermes leather from the post-apple-store era says this is the old one prob

As for price its like any other listing in Japan, full retail for half-off condition

Where did you pick up the leather straps? I ordered one on the Hermes US website but they canceled my order - I assume because maybe they are out of stock?

Does anyone know if a Japanese Hermes watch can be used for cellular in the UK - from what I have seen, the frequencies are broadly similar in both markets.

The other question (one for my carrier, EE) is whether they allow the data plan to be used on a non-UK watch - they may be able to determine this from the watch’s IMEI?

Definitely the original Bleu Jean release, in addition to the old style box as @athousandbands points out, it has the "T" (2015) date code, and the old "38mm" stamp which they stopped doing around 2018 iirc. It's far from "near mint", it's very overpriced imo. A lot of Japanese eBay listings are reposts of Mercari listings, at significantly inflated prices. The exact same band is available via Buyee, a service that will buy from Mercari Japan and then ship to you, far cheaper here. They are also more honest, listing it as "A little damaged/dirty".

You'll pay shipping and a service charge on top of that price, but it's generally reasonable. Look out for the coupons they offer too, you can quite often get a good discount on the price of the item. I've picked up several rarer bands via Buyee now, and always had a good experience so far.

Have there ever been leather single tour bands with a deployment clasp for the smaller models? Looking for one for the 42mm

That listing is 100% Bleu Jean, but its super overpriced as basically all the Hermes bands from japanese ebay sellers are. I actually have a second one of these that I dont need which ive been meaning to list on ebay, as well as one i daily drive which someone sold to be after having it sit in a closet for 6 years which i love.

As a general rule of thumb you're better off buying products from your local region, not only to ensure proper compatibility for cellular which can be an issue internationally especially for inter-continental watches, but also service options from Apple/ APple service providers since that gets tricky with international models with their regional difference sometimes (in some instances youll be told to fly back to country of purchase for service), coupled with the fact that UK has incredibly strong consumer protection stuff if you buy new while japans doesnt.
