Anyone have a recommendation for a good case/organizer to hold all your bands? Ideally one that would be good for travel? Thanks.
I usually carry some bands with me travelling. Not in a nice case, but kind of a heap in a plastic bag though. Believe it or not, but at the Airport security I was asked, what I do with these bands. The answer to the female agent "I change them regularly, like you do with your jewellery" was accepted with a smile and a grin from her male collegue. The Von Holzhausen Watchband Portfolio is nice. All bands? No, only six. But that’s enough to me for traveling. Bands aren’t stored in “pages” like most other organizers so I’m not worried about the keepers on leather bands being flattened or elastics leaving an imprint.
I also have their smaller Accordion Pouch in my daily carry sling bag for when I feel the need to swap in a Stainless Steel or Sport Band while out and about. Wouldn’t put a leather Hermès band in that one though as it compresses.
Post in thread 'Hermès Edition Owners Thread'Does anyone have the En Mer and can also try it with the standard 46mm non-Ultra, as I wonder how it would look.
I have both an Ultra 2 (non-Hermes) and an S10 Hermes.
Why would the TSA ask you about these things? These bands are just accessories and can stay in your personal item or carry on bag.I usually carry some bands with me travelling. Always fear for the worst, that can happen with TSA:Why would the TSA ask you about these things? These bands are just accessories and can stay in your personal item or carry on bag.
You’ve never had an unglamorous job where your boss had you do things you didn’t really want to do?Always fear for the worst, that can happen with TSA:
After one heavy incident at an airport, where the TSA agent insulted me to carry long knives in my carry-on baggage and ran my bag multiple times trouth the scanner, not showing me, what he "saw", I always present particularly the polyelastomer ones visibly to anyone. The leather ones are not critital, but I do prefer not to separate things in an extra specific way. Not discovering my "knives", she finally showed my, what she was looking for...
I did not accept her excuse at the very end.
Yes I did. You’ve never had an unglamorous job where your boss had you do things you didn’t really want to do?
How did they insult you?Yes I did.
Instead of insulting me continuosly, one could have starting to communicate with me. That simple.
Those both look great. Thank you. I'm on the road a lot and like to carry a few bands with me and the often end up scattered in the bottom of my backpack! The Von Holzhausen Watchband Portfolio is nice. All bands? No, only six. Running my carry-on baggage again and again trough the scanner, searching for the not existing knife, not listening to me, not letting me go. The Polyelastomer do look strange (like blades) and completely black on a scanner . I finally was allowed to see, what she saw and could present her the "knife".How did they insult you?
If that’s what you considering being insulted you’ve lived a charmed life, my friend. Next time remember they deal with Karens/Kevins all day…Running my carry-on baggage again and again trough the scanner, searching for the not existing knife, not listening to me, not letting me go. ... but lets stop this here and focus to the nice Hermès watchbands.
I use a bunch of other Hermès bands with my Ultra - single tour leather, Fauve Barenia with deployment, sport bands including the Hermès orange one.Hi all - anyone have other bands besides the En Mer that work well on the Hermes Ultra ? Does the Hermes website offer additional selections for the ultra ??
Thanks
For me, the only Hermès band that works is indeed the En Mer… all others (correct me if I’m wrong) have polished lugs… and that’s a no go for me with the Ultra case finish.Hi all - anyone have other bands besides the En Mer that work well on the Hermes Ultra ? Yep my 42mm medium has "42 M" so it looks like they've definitely sent you the wrong size.Hi everyone, can anyone with a Hermes Grand H confirm, if they can see the size somewhere? I ordered the M, but Hermes delivered me the S, I think. It's super tight and inside I can see the following ...
Alright, thanks for checking. I bursted out laughing when I saw it. They had six weeks to get the order right and they still messed it up I hope they're not gonna be out of stuck for the M.Yep my 42mm medium has "42 M" so it looks like they've definitely sent you the wrong size.
