Anybody else planning to buy in a Hermès store? I’d like to avoid the Apple Store mobs in order to try out the larger screen size and different band options at a Hermès Store instead. Hopefully the watches will be in-stock on day one.

Only buy from Hermès direct if you are completely sure you will not be returning for a refund within 14 days. Hermès doesn’t allow return/refund once you open the box.

Another annoying thing about purchasing from Hermes is that their website doesn’t give firm delivery dates. I checked the watch I wanted and all it says is that they’re due to start shipping on 9/21. But not a specific commitment to get it to you at any particular date or window.

Hey guys i need opinions here.

I have a small wrist so 44MM is definitely a no for me. I quite like the “clown” hermès but then i can only get the double leather if i want the 40MM.

Any males here wear the double leather ? Or should i just go with the fauve single leather ?

Thanks!

Size question. How will the single tour fit my wrist? Will I be on the last hole? 44mm purchased

For a regular 42mm sports band M/L I am in the middle hole of the 7 holes. 3 of course open holes on each side.

EDIT - to correct that I was mistaken...I use the S/M sport band on the middle hole, not the M/L, so my information/comparison was inaccurate.

Our wrists are the same. On my 42, with an Apple Sport M/L band, I'm in the middle of the 7 holes. On the single tour Hermes band I have, I am indeed the last hole (i.e. smallest size available).

Does the small tuck/flap bug you? Or is it designed so enough of the leather tucks that it isn't a big deal?

Also, making sure we mean the same thing on "last hole".

Meaning that if your wrist was any larger, the band would be too small? correct

No sorry - other way around. If my wrist were any *smaller* the band would not fit. So, it's not a small tuck/flap, it's very long. Can't get any longer in fact :)

SORRY I AM WRONG! I do not wear the M/L on the middle hole. I wear the S/M on the middle hole. So not a direct comparison for you. Very sorry about that.

You had me very confused and excited.

I think I am at exactly 195mm

Yeah sorry about that. I just measured the sport band I use - from the pin to the hole it's about 178mm. So that would be the smallest size.

My single tour is packed up at the moment so can't easily measure where 195 would be...

Similar boat to you. Ordered 44mm Hermes but have skinny wrists for a man. I wear the S/M sports band at hole 3 and on most of my watches have had to have an extra hole punched. Wonder if the 44mm will be too big.

My wrists are just medium size. Like I said fit the middle hole of a M/L sport band.

Anyone else that uses middle hole of a M/L sport band have a single tour?

Any Hermes owners sell their AW after one year, perhaps to get the newest one. I'd like to get an idea of the resale value. I like to update every year with the AW.

Just my opinion, but double tour looks good on women with long arms and very small wrists, typically fashion models. The good news for you is that 44mm Hermes bands are made for men with average or smaller wrist size. Max wrist size for a Hermes brand is 195mm! As for the 44mm screen if your small wrist is flat then the 44 could easily look okay.

Resale value for my Series 2 - Hermes was about $700, but this was for the Deployment Buckle. This year I'm keeping my Series 3 Hermes for the gym and will only use the Series 4 Hermes for outside the gym.

I also get to keep my Deployment Buckle in Ebene so I'm very happy about that.

Wow, you got $700 for the Hermes AW2 with deployment buckle, that's about 50%! Was the orange Hermes sport band included? Where and how did you sell it?

Btw, what's your wrist size? I'm a little worried that the deployment band will be a bit too small for me because my wrist is 191mm (7.5 inches), and Hermes bands only fit up to 195mm. I'm worried that the deployment won't be lying on the underside of my wrist and instead on the side of my wrist.

Don't feel bad. I slept 3 hours late (to 6am EST, like an animal) and mine is set for Oct. 12-19.

Same exact watch as yours btw - when you get it please post pix!

I’ve had a series 2 & 3 Hermes and resale value is terrible. There’s a lot of people out there that want the Hermes faces but want to pay no more then $200 so you’ll be dealing with that when you list it. Overall I’d say with a complete Hermes package including box and orange sport band you’d be lucky to get $800- that’s just my experience.

Oh, I know... what I meant was, if I paid the extra money... part of which is presumably for the exclusive faces.... would I even use the new faces... because that new one is way useful! I used to use mickey all the time just cuz I love mickey! but then I changed the face where I can have my fitness, weather, heartrate, etc.... because I found it way more useful to have it right there rather than have to look for it....

What I do is I keep my favorite Hermès face in between Mickey and the Activity rings. When I've completed my daily goal, I switch to Mickey or Hermès, depending on what I'm wearing or where I'm going. When I use Hermès during the day, I just swipe left or right to check my activity or the weather, etc.

Do series 2,3 get the Hermes new wacth face on watchos5?
[doublepost=1536951201][/doublepost]
Just spoke with an Apple rep online and she says the two tone block faces will be available for all Hermes edition.
I upgraded Series 2 to watchOS5 , I don't see any custom color .

Preordered the indigo/craie/orange single tour.

Next Friday came come soon enough!!!

View attachment 781549

I ordered one of these too this morning with delivery Friday.

I currently have a S3 with deployment buckle. I am going to keep that band as I love it; I will either sell my S3 with this new funky band if I don’t like it or just with the orange sports band.
