I’ve had a series 2 & 3 Hermes and resale value is terrible. There’s a lot of people out there that want the Hermes faces but want to pay no more then $200 so you’ll be dealing with that when you list it. Overall I’d say with a complete Hermes package including box and orange sport band you’d be lucky to get $800- that’s just my experience.

I have an offer of £280 from Mazuma Mobile for my S3 Hermès — that’s just the watch and charger: no strap. Does that sound reasonable? I could bundle it with the Sports Strap (only) and the original packaging and try eBay, but that’s a lot more hassle.

Any Hermes owners sell their AW after one year, perhaps to get the newest one. I'd like to get an idea of the resale value. I like to update every year with the AW.

expect to get 50% max of you paid for. I sold my S3 Hermès with everything inc AppleCare+ for AUD850 and it cost me AUD1800 the year before.

Try and get a pro rata refund from Apple for AC+ cos I don’t think that makes a big difference to resale.

My wrists are just medium size. Like I said fit the middle hole of a M/L sport band.

Anyone else that uses middle hole of a M/L sport band have a single tour?

I’m male and have small wrists around 160mm. The M/L Hermès orange sport band just fit me on the smallest hole. I always go to an actual Hermès store and get them to punch an additional hole on the leather band for me. Then it fits perfectly.

Glad to see a few new additions to the Hermès family!

Do series 2,3 get the Hermes new wacth face on watchos5?
[doublepost=1536951201][/doublepost]
I upgraded Series 2 to watchOS5 , I don't see any custom color .
Hermes came out with a new watch face for the Series 3. As a series 2 owner, I was able to get this new watch face in wOS 4 when it came out.

Thing here is how do things scale on the watch? If all the watch faces had to be redesigned to use the additional pixels, there's a chance the UI team didn't spend the time to scale down the new Hermes watch face for older Apple Watch users.

I would go that route, especially if you don’t want to worry the hassles of eBay (like you said). That’s actually a great idea I may check some places by me for buyback programs.

Here in the US for the S4 and if you value the orange sport band at $49, then just the watch is $911 ($699 + $212 for the watch Hermes faces). But the S3 is $100 less than S4, so $811. Anyway, I think if you get 40% from a one year old AW that's good.

Soooooo much better than Apple photos on website!

These actually help me consider stainless steel less as utility and more as a jewelry material, which is a desirable aesthetic for me in a watch.

looking forward even more to Oct. 5-12 delivery!

Why are the Hermes faces so much better than Apple designed ones?! The stock watch face should be the Hermes numbered face obviously without the Hermes branding.

It obviously works from a marketing stand point because I ended up getting a 44mm Hermes edition not just for the band but for the watch face. There are occasions where I would like something that just looks like a watch but would also still like to keep wearing my Apple Watch.

Great pics, the square face really does make a difference to the aesthetics.

How well does the single tour hold up with a lot of use?

I’ve ordered the single tour deployment buckle. I’ll likely continue to use my existing link bracelet most work days (which is holding up very well), and use the Hermes strap away from work. Obviously, sport strap at gym etc.

Mine preparing for despatch, good good!

Barina leather is Hermes’s most sensitive leather, amazingly soft & golden but anything that comes into contact it will likely leave a mark. Their Swift & Epsom leathers are much more resistant to marks/scratches- compared to the Barina it’s like they have a protective shell as a top layer.

Yeah, mine developed dark edges due to a hot summer of sweating

I found the Epsom to be really uncomfortable. The Swift is much softer.

I’m so tempted to buy the link bracelet so that I have the trifecta — Sports, leather, steel — but it’s naughty to spend more. Though they dropped the price. A few days ago shipping on the link was a couple of days. It’s now ballooned to a month. Though I’ve seen this happen before with strap delivery estimates. Only for them to fall back to a much shorter time.

Interesting, thanks. I’ll probably use it less frequently for certain occasions.

The link bracelet is excellent. I was concerned removing it every day when I go to the gym would weaken it eventually, but it’s still as good as the day I bought it at the S2 launch. Hats off to Apple for the brilliant design, coming out of nowhere vs traditional watch makers. The only thing I’d change is adding some degree of micro adjustment without the need for removing a link. I love the bracelet on my Tudor Pelagos for that reason.

I still am a big fan of mechanical watches. The penalty for this personally means that, unfortunately, I’m not quite as enamoured by the look of the Apple Watch as a lot of others are. I bought the Series 2 on link bracelet because I found it the only way to make the AW even vaguely appealing to my eyes. The AW has grown on me a lot since, a lot to do with the functionality which I do miss when I’m wearing a mechanical. The combo of the Hermès strap and squareish faces really does make them visually a lot more appealing to me.

Interesting (?) that a day in and the delivery timelines are more or less stable. The one I ordered shows Oct 15-22, not much different than the Oct 12-19 I received when ordering 3 hours into the pre-order.

In the Hermes faces what is below "Paris". I thought it might be a moon phase complication but in pics it doesn't change.

Seems like the Hermes band are geared toward smaller wrists . . . how do the bands fit for you all who have average or above average wrist sizes? Mine is 7.5" (191mm) which is running up against the max 7.68" (195mm).

Guys can you tell me why you’ll choose the deployment buckle over the regular strap? Is it comfort, style, ease of use? Does anyone own both and why?

It’s a moon complication. You can see it clearly in my S3 pic here

Thanks for confirming!

Mainly ease of use. It's very quick and easy to put on and take off a band with a deployant buckle. As easy as the sport band, maybe even easier. You also set it one time to the correct hole in the band and then use the deployant buckle. This saves the leather band from wear and tear.

Thanks Luba, are there any drawbacks, thicker on the wrist, discomfort from the metal?
