Thanks Luba, are there any drawbacks, thicker on the wrist, discomfort from the metal?
I can’t say since I only tried it on versus wearing it for an extended time.

I did notice that the deployant sits underneath your wrist in different positions depending on your size of wrist. I suppose ideally all of the deployant is on the underside of your wrist, but if your wrist is on the small side or large side for the strap, then the deployant would creep up to one side of your wrist. And since the deployant isn’t contoured for the side of your wrist, this could make it less comfortable, or maybe more comfortable as then there will be a small gap between the strap and your wrist giving your wrist breathing room on hot days. The strap wouldn’t lying tight against your wrist. In effect the deployant is lifting the strap a bit off your wrist.

One reason for me to get the deployant is that I never used on a daily basis. :)

I think it’s strange that Hermès makes their straps on the shorter than typical length. My wrist is 7.5” (191mm) which I think is average, but running up very close to the max that a Hermès strap can handle, which is 195mm.

I have a knock-off of the deployment single tour band (everything but the leather quality would be comparable).

My watch is a 42mm and I have small wrists (6.5”/165mm) and have to use the smallest hole. The clasp underneath presses into my skin and isn’t too comfortable because of it going into the side of my wrist. I’m sure if I had bigger wrists it would lay more along the underside of my wrist, and would feel better.

So that would be a downside vs. having the smooth leather underneath along your skin instead.

Great pics, thanks. And if larger wrists needing to use the last hole, he would encounter the same problem as yours except the deployant would be lying on the opposite side of the wrist, not underneath as intended.

Would anyone who wears their Fauve Barenia daily/most of the time mind posting pics of how it has aged? I’m tempted to upgrade from a knock-off of this band to the real deal. Thank you in advance!

See the darker edges though where sweat stained it... Had to even the band out, but still can see it. These bands are very sensitive, anything stains them.

That part of the reason I went for the Indigo Swift. When I had the Feu Epsom ink from my hoodie rubbed off onto the band.

I just wish the Indigo Swift had cream coloured stitching instead of indigo. That would look sharp imo.

Yes, it is a little “boring”. But when I briefly had the Indigo Swift I remember being struck by the quality and softness of the leather. And it provides a neutral background to the watch itself, i.e. it doesn’t compete with the watch visually.

Yes I had the indigo swift for the S3 and it’s very elegant and understated. But it got boring. I wish I got the Eperon d’or pattered band instead.

The clown strap will definitely spice the watch up this year :D

I'm considering the Feu Epsom for my S3 that I'm planning on keeping. Any other ladies considering this one now that it's available for the 38/40?

Also, can anyone with the original share their opinions about how it has held up over time?

Raising my hand here! Yes, I was thrilled to find that at last the Feu Epsom is available in the 38/40 (smaller) wrist size!!! As soon as it is in the stores I am going over to my local Apple store and try one on with my current S3 Space Black Apple watch.

Let me know how you like it when you try it! My local Apple Store is small and doesn't carry Hermès products, and while they will display one or two bands, they are locked down and you can't try them ...

Nice patina. Thanks!

How careful do you really need to be when washing your hands?
Very ;) I wash my hands slowly and rinse them carefully when I'm using the Fauve. Even so, I sometimes see a little dot from a splash afterwards, but just press on it with a bit of tissue to try and dry it. It usually doesn't leave a mark if I do that. If I don't notice a splash dot, it does leave some discolouration, but I've found that it mostly fades over time.

A friend has one that is two years old and claims to have splashed it now and again, but it looks great - a rich, dark patina.

I’m selling my S3 Hermes with the link bracelet because I want to keep my deployment buckle. I don’t see myself using the link bracelet again.

+1 for the link bracelet. It’s the only band where I had someone compliment it when we weren’t even talking about watches.

I have a couple Hermès leather straps and Milanese from the S0 SS but get the most compliments on the SS link bracelet combo.

That combo looks great!

Do you guys find yourself wearing the link bracelet or Hermès leather bands more often? Or do you wear the link bracelet only on special occasions?

Can’t decide between this and Milanese loop... the Milanese looks less bulky but the link bracelet gives the Watch a completely different feel and look

Thanks! I like the SS link a lot - I’m used to wearing mechanical watches and the weighty feeling.

Now that it’s $100 less, I’m going to order another as a spare. It’s been durable and only have a minor scruff when I brushed it against my MBP. The easy of adjusting the links, precision of the design, and quality of the bracelet is amazing.

I’ll probably rock the bracelet more in the summer time, because of the heat and humidity, and back to the Hermès leather bands in winter - especially the new indigo/craie/orange swift single tour.

I hardly wear the Milanese because I’ve worn it on the S0 for years. What I do like about the Milanese is that I can wear it and not worry about getting it wet or being rough with it.

I can't wait for the indigo/craie/orange swift single tour! but I'm not sure if that's too flashy for the office...

OK... I'm leaning 80% towards the link bracelet. It's justifiable now that it's the same price as a Hermes single tour hahaha
