Thanks co much. It slides just s bit, but is very comfortable. I can see it becoming my daily band, but then what do I do with my deployment bands (leather and Kilim)?
Keep them to rotate in once in a while for aesthetic variation? Sell them?

Got a chuckle out of this, not an AWH but look what made an appearance in the latest episode of White Lotus (not really a spoiler but whatever):

I tried removing two links from my Grand H band. One from each side. The watch stopped sliding and I could just close the clasp. HOWEVER, when I took it off at night, the underside of my wrist had an indentation of the clasp and the top of my wrist had a circle corresponding to the underside of the case.

Does that mean it is too tight?

Yes, that sounds uncomfortable. And if you swell a little bit, that’ll get even tighter. If one link removed was comfortable, leave it as such.

I tried one link snd it still moves around. I decided to leave it with two links removed and see how I adjust. I can always add back a link if need be. With two links removed, I can fit my pinky under the band near the lug.

Removing two links made the band uncomfortable after a full day of wear and gave a rash and a marked indentation on my wrist. It was also difficult to close the clasp. Yet, After some time of having the watch slide with no links removed and having two links removed, making it rather tight, I now feel that one link removed from the large is the best compromise. Sorry fir the vacillation.

On my Grand H, large, the underside of the clasp leaves an indentation on my wrist when I take off the watch. One link is removed. If I put back the link, there is still indentation (less), but the watch really slides. I am getting disgusted quickly.

I'm thinking about getting a Hermes band for either my 45mm Silver or Black watch. I was hoping I could get a few recommendations from the group as I don't have a Hermes store anywhere close by.

Are there any Toile, Twill, type bands that you would kinda consider must-haves (or just a great band)?
Also, does anyinbe know the width (at the connector) of the 45mm Toiles?

I already have enough leather bands, Kilims, and metal bands for now. But I want a band that looks good, and can get wet occasionally. I love the leather bands but with the Southwest US heat, we tend to sweat easily ~7 months out of the year. LOL

The Gold/Ecru Toile would be my go-to for the silver case. The louder colors don’t really do it for me.

With the Series 10 not having a black case option, those bands are going to become even more difficult to find. I don’t believe any of the currently in-production bands have the black hardware. I see that the Vert/Noire Toile band is still listed on Apple.com, but it is “currently unavailable” and might be sold through too at this point.

ETA: if you’re open to non-new definitely look for the Jumping bands, those are my favorite for everyday use but have were discontinued with the Series 9.

Thanks for the suggestion. I appreciate you taking the time. The Gold/Ecru is one I am considering. I've just never seen the toiles in person so the recommendations do help.

I do have a set of black hardware, so I can convert what band I get to black if that's best.

Definitely start with the toile band,
Abby electronics has a few gold/ecru bands so you can get a good deal on it. I have the toile vert/noir with the black hardware now discontinued which looks great with the SBSS. I also have 6 of the older single jumping tours, some with black hardware, which are also great bands, though the material is a bit stiff especially the first generation, but they are great bands as well. I live in a tropical climate 90 degrees and humid and the textile bands work well in this climate.

I don’t know if it’s just random variation or if they’re samples but my Celeste toile came from Abby new but not stiff, and it’s so nice.

As far as I know the toile Bands are not stiff, but I’m not sure as mine was an open box purchase.
My gold and framboise and militaire are def more stiff, there’s just so much layering to it compared to a single layer twill jump.

And an open box band is as new as a closed box.

I have the Gold/Ecru and it is a stunning band.

I'm considering a crazy alternative since I have a band with black hardware that I'd like to swap with silver hardware...

Would the Gold/Ecru tole band look decent with black hardware and a black watch?

Another option... Are there any other Toile or Twill bands that come with silver hardware, that would look nice with black hardware, on a black watch?

Note: I like some of the colors of the old Jumping bands, but I didn't like the design on the bands, so I've taken those out of consideration.

I have had black hardware with silver watches and silver hardware with black watches. It all works. In the final analysis, I wonder if anyone looks that closely at your wrist? I try and focus on the band and its comfort and its usability given my disabilities. However, if the next Hermes watch was black, I am not sure this would be a good match with my Hermes Grand H Stainless band. However this is a greater issue than if one just considers the usual band hardware.

The black/gold twill jump seems a safe bet

@athousandbands i like the band but have a question for you. A just got a Grand H SS band and love it. I could see it becoming my daily driver. Does that happen? What do I then do with my leather and Kilim bands? Thanks.

What are the Kilim colors? Def still rare enough with the Switzerland supply bottleneck to fetch you two bills or more on eBay I think.

Maybe find an audience that wants the boxes and therefore is skipping a seller that doesn’t have boxes.

And I guess the same goes for leather.

Certainly the supply of leather bands on eBay has cratered as the colors that are only available from Hermes have not yet formed any kind of resale market.

And I think we will never see unsold cast-offs because of that awesome move fashion houses do destroying the merch (which hilariously features in the pilot of an Apple TV show).

My Kilim bands are orange and olive. I have two leather deployment bands. I have two single tour leather bands as well. All bands have boxes.

After some consideration, I am not going to persue the black/silver hardware swap. I'll just focus on the Twill, or Toile band for the 45mm Silver Hermes watch.

Based on feedback so far, the best Twill/Toile would be the Gold/Ecru Toile band.
