Well… let me answer that by telling you that I own two Apple Watches: An Hermés Ultra 2 and an Hermès Ultra 3😉
Availability of Ultra from Apple Store in general depend on U3 + band combo—Alpines, mid-late Oct; Trail and Ocean, in two days. Same with HU3 from Apple Store—all of the HU3 + En Mer bands, unavailable and HU3 + Scuba'H, available in mi-late Oct.
I didn't preorder and bought my HU3 + En Mer Orange, extra En Mer Gris and Bleu Nuit on Saturday, day after launch at Apple Tysons Corner, VA. All of the En Mer bands from Apple Store are unavailable.
All HU3 + En Mer, excluding orange, and Scuba'H are available directly from Hermès.com.
I have the Hermes Series 11 and that’s because the ultra doesn’t have all the faces the series 11 has especially the new Faubourg watch face that is my #1 favorite!! I wear the ultra bands on my Series 11 as you can see from my posts I have all the ultra bands from this release. Love them!!
They weren’t at the Hermes Beverly Hills Store yesterday when I was there picking up my en mer bands.
I grabbed an Ultra 3 but am considering returning it and getting a Hermes Ultra 3 or series. I had the Ultra 2 and found it awkward around dress shirt cuffs. That being said with going Hermes and choosing style trying to decide if the thinner series is a better look.
I own both, Hermès Series (Hermès S6, incoming S11 Faubourg) and Ultra (OG Ultra, HU3), since I 💘 both models and use them for different needs.
Daily, I'll rotate both. For outdoor activities (backpacking / hiking, rowing, sailing) or traveling, I'll wear my HU3 or OG Ultra (mountain biking) and evening / formal occasions, Series or mechanical when I need a slimmer profile.
But if you're trying to decide between the two and looking for versatility, consider Series—more unique Hermès watch faces, leather and elastomer band options. All of the 46mm Series Hermès bands are also compatible with HU3.
Go Ultra, if you like the looks of the Ultra and could use features such as higher durability and water resistance, longer battery, expanded altimeter range (–500m to 9000m), emergency SOS via satellite.
Another consideration is finding an earlier and previously owned Hermès Series model (Series 6 to 10) in good condition, eg. since WatchOS 26 supports models back to Series 6, you'll get all of the unique Hermès face (excluding Noir?) up to Faubourg Party.

Ja, all 3 HU Circulaire—Orange Mangue, Vert Comics, Bleu Hyrda—are colorfully vibrant and "contrasty". Bleu Hydra is my favorite followed by Orange Mangue.

I love these high contrast versions against the dark gray numeral ring. So mad that the Hermès Series watch didn't get these as well. The new Faubourg face is fun, but Circulaire is by far my favorite face.
In the Watch app, edit Hermès Ultra Circulaire watch face. The 3 HU Circulaire colors(*)—Orange Mangue, Vert Comics, Bleu Hyrda—are part of the Fall 2025 colors and were automatically added when I added the Circulaire watch face on my HU3.
(*) Note: Orange Mangue, Vert Comics, Bleu Hyrda are unique to Hermès Ultra.

It should be noted that these are specific to the Ultra and not available on the series watches.

I have both. A series 7 Hermes and now a HU3. I LOVE both. Different moods for different watches, for different bands.
I also have a Jet Black S10 that I work out in mainly.
The main thing I miss on the S7 Hermes is the double tap and the wrist flick. Oh and the ticking second hand on the watch faces, though the Circulaire doesn’t have that.

If I get a Hermes Series 11 46 I am between the Vert Mangrove band or the Kilim Single Tour Noir band. I don’t have any other Hermes bands or Hermes AW. Was torn between the Hermes Ultra or the Series 11. Currently have a AWU 2, but think want to go back to the slimmer watch.
I really like the Vert Mangrove I think, at least in the pics you posted and on the Hermes website with the Series 11 AW. Looks like a nice shade of green. How do you like it?

I currently have an AWU 1 and love it. I plan to upgrade to the AWU 3. I have never owned a Hermes version of any AW and I'm really thinking about going that direction this time. I am trying to decide if the extra cost is worth it for me. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading through this thread. No decision to make right now because nothing with an En Mer strap is available currently.
