New to the thread, potentially. Ordered my watch couple weeks ago and went with the Indigo single tour band. Any thoughts on that band with business casual attire?

I just picked mine up in Vegas yesterday. It’s a very simple, classy look that is very professional. I’ll personally be wearing mine to work, and I’m sure you’ll enjoy yours.

If you don’t mind me asking; how big are your wrist; I’m at 165.1, which is the very low end for the band. Making sure watch face and band fits well.

I’m at 190, and the Indigo single tour with 44mm looks great. I think it looks more masculine than the 42mm did. My normal watches are Omega Speedmasters, and a 42 or 44 in those look very different (larger) on the wrist than the new 44 AW, which appears smaller. You really have to recognize that the semi-square shape of the AW makes it hard to compare to a round face watch of same “dimensions.” And most round watches have significant additional size added due to the lugs, whereas the AW lugs don’t add much at all.

Bottom line is if you felt the 42mm was just right, the 44 is going to feel perfect.

Got my 44 S4 yesterday with the Ebene deployment. It’s spectacular. The deep brown leather is gorgeous and the band fits me no problem. No discomfort.

FYI on apple sport bands I use the middle (of 7) holes on the S/M band. On the Hermes I use the smallest and it fits just right.

Will the grained fauve barenia band take longer to patina darker compared to the regular Fauve band?

Perfect, I’m pretty much the same; now I feel 100% comfortable picking mine up today. Thanks again, enjoy your day and weekend.

Ummm I don’t know the exact size, and I don’t have a way to measure. But large? I inherited thick wrists from my father.
You're not thick. :) Looks a bit above average, if not average. I think Hermes bands are shorter than average. Max for Hermes straps is 195mm. I think that's too short. Apple's sport band max is 210mm, or is it 215mm.

I've upgraded from a Series 0, and my Black Single Tour bands leather is not as nice as my Indigo band which has the softest most wonderful leather.

How tight do you all wear the single tour?

For example when you walk about with arms swinging, does the watch sit above your wrist bone? Or is it on top or past the wrist bone closer to the edge of your hand?

Above wrist bone so less likely to get wet when I wash my hands. Downside is the I had to lift my shirt cuff to see AW.

With the sport band I’ve worn it past the wrist bond at the edge of my hand. I don’t worry about getting it wet or whatever but I know downside is that I’ll need to clean the whole watch and sport band. I use a gentle soap to do that everyday.

Above wrist bone is normal for me, on any band. Of course you have those long sleeve shirts where you can button to not be as loose on the wrist so the watch can be closer to your wrist. I always leave a sport band in my bag for wet and gym days.

Apple Watch Hermès S4 review

It sums up the marketing and branding strategy of the Apple Watch Hermès perfectly. Very intelligent and in depth review.

It's a good video, while he does complain about the new packaging a bit. The regular Apple Watches have the outer sleeve that open with pictures of other bands that Apple sells. It's definitely promoting the on-boarding experience and custom aspect since we all know many people who never seem to change their stock bands.

Back with the Hermès. Picked this up after stock showed up at the Stanford apple store. They had the gold Milanese which is what I had ordered. I like the gold on the phone but the watch wasn’t for me. This is something I wear daily and wanted the nicest look as possible.

Anyone know if the rallye model is something that’s meant to be worn in casual settings? Or can you actually wear this model in the office or formally as well?

Are the holes in the band functional to make it more breathable or mainly a design choice?

I don’t see any problems with wearing the rallye in an office environment. If you like it I’d say go for it! It’s definitely not flashy or obvertly unprofessional. You might even get compliments from your colleagues/client ;)

It’s meant to mimic Hermès driving glove but it does make the band more breathable.

It really sucks that only the double tours and one single tour (barenia) comes in 40mm. I’m a male with a small wrist and 44 looks way too big on me. Even the standalone straps follow this pattern with the exception of Feu which I’m hardly going to rock with a suit.

I picked up my 44mm today. It looks nice, but wish they stayed at 42mm. 40mm is definitely too small. I’m sure I’ll get use to the bigger size. The leather band is amazing, so soft.
