I posted the other day about the same thing. My lug is loose and rattles really loud when I get a haptic notification. I am returning it (44mm Fauve Deployment). I swap the band around and the same lug rattles. Seems to be a lug issue for me. Other bands seem fine on it.
Now that you guys mention it my clown strap does seem to rattle and the lug is not 100% in it’s slot. My old 42mm fauve barenia single tour sits securely and doesn’t rattle.

Haven’t said that, it doesn’t really bother me.

I clean them somewhat frequently, I check the weather before choosing which type of leather I'm going to wear, so I don't subject a delicate leather to less than stellar conditions. Really, the key is just cleaning the products, and nourishing the leather. I use the Hermès glycerin soap, in the natural color, the Hermès saddle balm, I take advantage of the Hermès Spa. Through their spa, Hermès does a spectacular job of cleaning, and repairing their leather products, and I highly encourage everyone to take advantage of this service. The Hermès Spa will clean, nourish, buff, and even restitch a product, should it require such, when you send your product to them.
The Hermès glycerin soap comes either in a disc ($25) or a bar ($35), which one do you recommend?

When you clean with the soap, how do you rinse off the soap? With water??

Then after cleaning we would use a little bit of the balm to nourish and protect the leather strap.

If I rather have Hermès Spa do the work, how often do you recommend bringing in the watch straps to them, once a year if I only wear the straps during days that are not hot and humid? Btw, how much does the Spa service cost? I couldn’t find info on the Hermès Spa service on their website. Maybe it’s only a service offered in the stores?

Thanks for your help!

Has anyone just bought the bands for a non-stainless steel watch. I'm curious how it might look with SSG. I wish Apple had a simulator tool in app store.

I have lost my mind and not sure I can justify. I have bought the new black SS and then went by the Apple store and saw gold SS and grabbed it. Switching between the two but I just noticed today the SS Hermes with clown band and ordered it. Has any one else ever do the three combo to have all 3 colors

I got a Hermès replica in indigo swift to go with my genuine clown strap. I’m so paranoid about making the cream part of the band dirty. I will reserve the clown strap for special occasions only now.

I just got my clown strap from Hermes Monday. Wore it all day yesterday and it’s so comfortable. Because the cream part is on the top part of the band, I am not worried about it getting dirty. I got water on the indigo part and it just wipes right off no stain left. I plan on wearing my band and enjoying it without worrying if something gets dirty or wet. I think the leather is a very obviously a very high-quality and maybe more durable than what we think. I will let you know how the cream color holds up with every day use. This will be my go to band daily for the foreseeable future. I now have the clown strap, the indigo blue which came with my watch, and then I have my Ebene barenia from my series 3. I find the sports band to be the most uncomfortable to wear. The only Hermes band I want next would be the Fauve barenia in either the regular band or the deployment buckle. haven’t decided which one yet unless of course they come out with another colored band I prefer.

Just on the clown strap, I wore it yesterday and was sweating a bit after a brisk walk.

I took off the band and saw the outline of the end of the indigo part, slightly imprinted on the cream part. I was mortified but use a damp cloth to wipe it clean.

Anyone experienced this as well?

For Hermès owners posting about haptic rattling and possibly exchanging your Watch, does it matter if you purchased from Hermès or Apple? It sounds like this is an issue popping up quite a lot regardless of band type (Hermès, Milanese Loop, ect) I have a single-tour coming in a couple of weeks, but I'm sick of waiting, and am considering ordering directly from Hermès, though if this issue is present, I would like to be able to replace it without a hassle. Thoughts on which company is better to order from?

Hm. I'm wearing my Ebone Barenia deployment today and just checked and -- yeah there's a bit of rattle or give in the lower strap attachment. I wouldn't have noticed until I specifically checked. I'm not sure if it's something that bothers me enough to return it or not... the strap and leather themselves are so nice.

Apple no question. Hermès won’t accept returns once the box is opened up.

Apple would cover it under warranty

My understanding is that all non sport band replacements are handled through Hermes even if purchased through Apple. In other words good luck with getting them replaced unless you return within 14 days through Apple.

Only purchase watches and bands through Apple like others said.

I purchased my series 3 from Hermes earlier this year; had a problem with the Hermes deployment buckle band. Went to apple store that carries the Hermes model and they warrantied replaced it there on the spot. Not all stores here in Los Angeles carry the model so I had to go to 3rd Street promenade to get the replament done as they carry Hermes Apple watches. Right now they are closed for renovations but again this as I said this was earlier this year

What was the problem that you had? Presumably with the buckle as I can’t see them replace the because of wear and tear on the band itself.

I should have said my local Apple Stores in Charlotte, NC don’t carry any Hermes watches. AppleCare was no help and the only warranty service was through Hermes for the bands after the 14 day return period.

Sounds like there is a chance to warranty exchange at Apple if you are lucky enough to live in a global market such as NYC, LA, Miami, Chicago, Atlanta, etc.

That was S3. S4 they say they won't accept returns if the watch has been paired. The one I got the outer box was opened, presumably so they could remove the cellophane and tie their bow around.

That one rattles too, though marginally better than the one I videoed. Rather disappointed in Apples quality, but I'm not going to spend more time swapping watches.

I was going to get a SS Milanese in black, but now considering the Hermes. Never owned a Hermes before, so and my wrist size is about 165mm. Being a guy, what would be a safe bet for the watch strap color? Thinking the single 44 in fauve, but would appreciate any opinions. Don't have any Hermes stores by me or Apple stores that carry them, so don't get to try them on. Thanks!

Bummer you can’t try them on. I think the 44 will be fine. Fauve is classic and a safe bet. I find the bleu indigo attractive as well. I got myself the Ebene which I love. Don’t think you can go wrong so go with your gut.

Thanks - I think the Ebene looks great, but not sure how the deployment buckle would fit on my wrist, so guessing the single strap traditional buckle might be safest bet.
