I really want to get my wife the
Bordeaux/Rose Extrême/Rose Azalée Swift Leather Double Tour
but the store and Hermes site haven't had it (or the orange/craie double tour) for a while. Any thoughts about re-stocking? You can't even order it as this point.

Here is a photo of my well-worn cuff band from years ago. It’s been through rain, sweaty walks on the beach, and all sorts of environments, yet it still looks pretty darn good. It’s a testament to how well fauve barenia holds up when cleaned properly, and cared for.

Here ya go, just happen to be wearing it today with my series 4 :)

Many thanks. Just snagged one! It’s funny too as I’d thought about it and she has a double tour she rarely wears, so single a safer bet.

That’s great. Hermes told me they pretty much update their website daily. I checked when I first saw your post and they didn’t have it, then I looked again and it was there when I posted.

My clown strap is being delivered Monday that I ordered from them.

It's absolutely beautiful! There is just something so special about saddle leathers.

I would love to see a photo of this band style being worn if you have the time and inclination. I've eyed them on eBay (although none as uniformly and nicely patinated as yours), but it's so hard to tell what type of wrist it might flatter.

Calexandre- here are the photos you requested. Sorry it took me a few days to get them to you. I’d say my wrists are medium-large in size. I’m definitely not a small-boned man. I think the cuff band fits this size wrist really well, as it isn’t so cinched together that one isn’t able to discern all the different design details of the product.

That’s quite a statement piece haha.

When did you used to wear it? To work? Weekends? Does it get really warm and sticky after a while?

This looks really sharp. It would be cool if they had a version for the 40mm.

I realized, after reading your reply, that my wording could have been better. It's evident my college degree in English did me wonders haha. What I was trying to say, is that I'm not a small person, like the models on Hermès.com, or like a good many of the members on this forum seem to be. When wearing the cuff band, the hole I put the latch through is the second to last (second longest strap length).

I am fortunate enough to not need to work, so the environments my Hermès products, including the cuff band, are used in, are working with charities, traveling, shopping, entertaining, and, just the normal kind of life events someone in their late 30s-early 40s would be involved with, minus the kids aspect, as I don't have children, unless you want to count my two very needy French Bulldogs.

I can count, on one hand, the number of times I have either regretted, or have been bothered by wearing the cuff band. Each of these times share the common aspect of a typical July/August Cape Cod day, involving high humidity, and temps in the 80s or 90s. On these occasions, the band would cause my wrist to sweat, and then cause the band to adhere, like goopy rubber cement, to my skin. Each of these times, I took the watch off, and stuffed it in a pocket. I tend not to wear the cuff band during the summer months. Being that it is a larger band, I reserve it for autumn/winter.

Overall, the cuff band is incredibly comfortable. It can seem a bit bulky the first time wearing it, and/or for the first ten or fifteen minutes after putting it on. I love its eclectic look, and I love wearing it with dressier outfits, as it provides just a touch of counterbalance to what could be an otherwise conservative look.

To answer the questions about what I do to care for my Hermès leather products, and what I do to keep them looking so nice, that's fairly easy....I clean them somewhat frequently, I check the weather before choosing which type of leather I'm going to wear, so I don't subject a delicate leather to less than stellar conditions. Really, the key is just cleaning the products, and nourishing the leather. I use the Hermès glycerin soap, in the natural color, the Hermès saddle balm, and a couple of products I discovered in my endeavor to keep the mugello red, merino leather seats in my X5 M clean, Leather Master Soft Cleaner and Leather Master Strong Cleaner. The Leather Master products are not Hermès approved, and I always spot test the cleaner on the leather, before using it all over the item. It is the Leather Master Soft and Strong Cleaners that I have found will remove a sweat stain/spot from Hermès' Fauve Barenia Leather. In addition to these products and methods, I take advantage of the Hermès Spa. Through their spa, Hermès does a spectacular job of cleaning, and repairing their leather products, and I highly encourage everyone to take advantage of this service. The Hermès Spa will clean, nourish, buff, and even restitch a product, should it require such, when you send your product to them.

As the Leather Master products are not Hermès approved, use at your own risk. I have not encountered an issue using these on my Hermès products, but your experience may be different.

Anybody with the Rally in fauve yet ?

I have the Fauve Barenia Rallye Band. I quite like it. It is interesting to see the more pronounced grain structure on this band, as Fauve Barenia is typically a fine grained, smooth leather.

Oh rats-- for some reason I thought they had made this band for both sizes, but you're right. I'll just have to admire UrbanExtant's and danmanmtl's, because I wear the smaller face.

Calexandre, do not despair! Since you wear the smaller watch, you can get, and wear with pride, what I wish I could..... Hermès’ second cuff band, the one in the photo I’m attaching to this post. While I truly love the first version of the cuff band, I really love the second version of the cuff band. The second version would, also, be cooler, and most likely more comfortable, than the first version!

I went ahead and ordered the 44mm S4 watch with deployment buckle. It should arrive some time next week.

Just opened my Indigo/Craie/Orange Swift. All my other watches, including an AW4 I returned last week, had very tight bands. This one is so loose the connector protrudes from the watch body a very noticeable amount, and it rattles with the slightest movement.

That double cuff band is also really sharp! I haven't yet received my Hermes order, and already I'm thinking about expanding my Hermes watch band library. Must. Resist.

I wonder if the unavailability to even pre-order the multi color 44mm model is due to the strap issue seen? I'm assuming the issue was with the lug and not the watch body. I'd love to be able to place a pre-order. I don't even mind the wait.

Both, actually. The lug on this band is a bit smaller, but bands that fit very tight on my previous S4 are loose and rattle on this body too.

LOS ANGELES BABY!!
Just took delivery of my clown strap directly from Hermes. May sell my Hermes 44mm indigo blue which came with my series 4. I havent even worn it yet as I like my ebene barenia deployment buckle. The last leather strap on my list to get is the fauve barenia deployment buckle. For me the deployment buckle is very comfortable to wear. Since my mechanical watches have been Rolex for the last 20+ years, I am used to the feel of a deployment buckle.

The clown strap is beautiful. Nothing like the Hermes presentation on how they ship their items.

I find the Hermes leather straps to be the most comfortable. I am not a fan of the Hermes sport band that comes with it. It just doesn’t feel comfortable on my wrist. It’s like the best hole for me would be between the 3rd and 4th on the sport strap. Haven’t tried the Apple sport straps yet.

I posted the other day about the same thing. My lug is loose and rattles really loud when I get a haptic notification. I am returning it (44mm Fauve Deployment). I swap the band around and the same lug rattles. Seems to be a lug issue for me. Other bands seem fine on it.
