The Apple-devices I have, but do not use:

- iPod 2G
- iPod 5G (Sits in a pretty box, collecting dust)
- iPod Nano (Used it for the gym, now I use my iPhone)
- iMac G5 17" 2004 (I still have it around at my dads place, hardly being used)
- MacBook Pro 15" 2007 (Loved it. Now passed on to my dad, I use it sometimes)
- MacBook White 2009 (Got it from high-school when I started back in 2009, after three years of extensive use - I decided to keep it, and bought it out. The top-case was replaced under warranty, so it basically looks like a brand new computer. I passed it down to my mom for her birthday, as she has never had a laptop before - she loves her MacBook).

The Apple-devices I use:

- iPhone 4S
- iMac 21.5" (2011)
- MacBook Air (2011)
- iPad Mini
- AppleTV

The iPhone is my carry-everwhere-device, I use it for calls, photos, music, email, social, et.c. The iMac is my personal home computer, I use it for media, Google SketchUp, watching movies, storing files, syncing iPhone/Cameras, et.c. The MacBook Air is my university tool. I use it daily for taking notes during lectures/seminars, as well as for group works. The iPad Mini is a bit of a luxury device which I've come to enjoy. I could really do without it, but it's fun. For now, the utility > costs, hence I've kept it. The AppleTV rarely gets used. I would never have bought it, but it was a gift.

Next year will be exciting. I will upgrade my phone to an iPhone 6, and if there's a new MBA with Retina Display, chances are I will upgrade my laptop as well. The iMac stays. :D

MacBook Pro with retina Display - Used for editing in Final Cut Pro, Aperture, Photoshop and Logic Pro, hopefully soon will be connected up to a 27 inch monitor most of the time, I will also bring this laptop to a lot of places.

iPhone 5S - Comes with me everywhere, It's 64GB storage allows me to store all my media, apps, and homework, and easily access it. It's on an unlimited calling and texting plan for $45 a month.

iPad 3 with retina display - Uses for homework sometimes, again 64 GB of storage allows me to store a lot of movies and music. It mounts in my SUV and connects to the stereo. I also use it as a screen for my teleprompter, and as a clapper board for when I'm filming my videos.

Apple TV - Used for... You guessed it, watching content from netflix, youtube, and the iTunes store. Used in conjunction with a Samsung 60 inch flatscreen plasma.

iMac (Not mine, the families) - I use it on occasion for editing some videos in Final Cut Pro when a 15 inch screen isn't big enough.

iPod touch 5 64GB - Gave it to my sister when I got my iPhone.

To many iPod touches, nanos and shuffles to count - Some not working, some working and still used on occasion. Most are a few generations behind.

And lastly everything is synced with iCloud, so documents and everything is all in one location.

I'll bite...

2nd iPhone 5 jailbroken: everyday phone, camera, blah blah

1st iPhone 5: got stolen from my house, blacklisted as a phone and probably floating somewhere along the East coast as a poor iPod.

iPhone 4: also stolen, blacklisted with unknown whereabouts

iPod Video: cracked screen, lost ability to hold a charge, sits in a drawer.

13" MacBook Pro i5 2011 with 8gb ram: everyday laptop, videoedit machine, lazy FaceTime camera when I don't wanna hold the phone up.

I'll buy that ipod from you that's broken. Send me a PM if interested.

I tend to…collect things.

My youngest Mac is that MBP and that's 2006 vintage. Snow Leopard max.

My Thinkpad is 2009 vintage. Capable of running Windows 10 but I've always preferred Win7.

My iPhone 5, which is five years old is the only device I have running a current firmware (iOS 10.3.1)! :D

Yeah, it's a necrobump, but fun! Here's mine:

iPod Touch (4th gen) : used to be my go-to in the car until I embraced Sync on my Mustang. Now it sits in the console or gets used on the Bose dock in the house occasionally
iPod nano (yellow) (4th gen, 16GB): used on docks in the house
Apple TV (4th gen, 64GB)
iPad mini (silver) (2nd gen, 128GB): used mainly for reading in bed. Typing on it now!
iPad Pro 9.7" (rose gold) (256GB)
Apple Pencil
iPhone 7 Plus (rose gold) (256GB)
iPod mini 2nd gen (pink) (6GB)

Edit: Oops, totally forgot to note my Apple Watch 2, rose gold. I also had an AW1, also rose gold, which my boyfriend now has. Well, technically Apple now has it and is repairing the screen after his cat decided to smack it off of the nightstand onto the tile floor.

Also recall having an iPod Photo, a Classic, a 2nd-gen Apple TV that my parents now have, a couple of other nanos (including a 1st-gen that was part of the recall), a 2nd-gen iPad (which my boyfriend now uses), as well as the following iPhones: 3GS (white, 32GB), 4 (black, 32GB), 4S (white, 64GB), 5 (silver, 64GB), 5S (gold, 64GB), 6 Plus (gold, 128GB), and the 6S Plus (rose gold, 128GB).

Nothing too wild here:

iPhone 7 32GB, used for your typical daily tasks and cloud file management. My go-to camera for everything. Beta test device.

2011 MacBook Pro, still hanging in strong! Use it for everything under the sun.

iPhone 5S, beta testing device and extra just in case.

Admittedly, the mini 4 doesn't get much use. That was something I really wanted back in 2014 but what we got instead was the fairly lackluster mini 3. By the time the mini 4 was actually released, I had already adapted to using the 9.7 Air. Besides, pricing at that time seemed too high for 1-year old tech.

I actively sell and replace products, so it's ever changing, much like a lot of people here I'm sure. Currently:

iPhone 7 Plus 128GB (black) with AirPods.
iPad Pro (2nd Gen) 12.9 inch (gold) with Apple Pencil.
MacBook Pro (with Touch Bar) 15 inch (space grey).
Apple TV (4th Gen).
iMac 27-inch, don't really remember the specifics, it sits at my mum's house.

iPad Pro (1st Gen) 12.9 inch (gold) - currently on sale.
Apple Watch Gen 2 - sold yesterday, we'll see what Gen 3 has to offer, although I discovered I don't really care for watches so I doubt I'll be replacing.

Seems like a boasting exercise but I will indulge...
iPhones: 7 plus, 7, 6s plus, 6, 5s
iPad: air, air2, pro
Mac: Macbook, Mac Mini, Macbook Air, Macbook 12
Watch: 38 series 1, 42 Series 2.
Headphones: AirPods X 2.
Network: Apple Extreme AC, Airport Base Station.

That's enough to make me think how much money folks like us have spent on this. But it keeps working... Macbook I mentioned is 2008 model and my nephew is still using it and it just keeps working. doesn't want to die.

It is a little boastful but it’s fun. And, at least for me, many of the products I listed were replacements for the generation before it. This transference of value is what has allowed me to stay in the ecosystem; selling the old to pay for the new.

Yep, much like the way I do it. My phone contracts are on a two-year cycle, so every second phone I get for "free" and in the alternate I buy outright, but sell my current one to pay for most of it.

Same with my iPads/MacBooks. I'm always a little bit out of pocket, but I'm never paying full price and not having the backup there. Works pretty well, and I'm on current version of the products most of the time. :)

It’s also very helpful that Apple supports the older tech for so long. I just bought and sold a 2010 MBA with a core duo chip...thing was running Sierra and was on the list for High Sierra this fall.

I keep everything fairly current and either pass-on, sell or recycle the old stuff so:

2017 5K iMac 27" i7 4.2GHZ 32GB RAM 1TB SSD (looking for 2nd monitor reccommendations)
Late 2016 MacBook Pro 15" Touchbar 16GB RAM 512GB SSD
iPhone 7 Plus 128GB Space Grey
iPad Pro 10.5" 256GB Space Grey
Apple Watch 42mm Series 2 Stainless Steel Milanese loop
AirPods

It's only Apple TV I'm missing. Been tempted but I don't think there's much content here in the UK (happy to be corrected, though).
