Just sold my 2020 Pro 11. Have replaced it with a cellular Air 4 for on the go. Have got the M1 12.9 Pro on order for desk based work. The touch interface is really helpful for me, as I have a neurological condition.

Still hoping for proper monitor support, though. That would make the device perfect for my Computing needs.

Alright, time for an update on the number of iPads I own:

I own one, an iPad Pro 11 from 2020, and have a 2021 iPad Pro 11 on preorder.

My wife has three: an OG iPad Pro 12.9, the latest iPad Mini, and a 2018 iPad Pro 11

My fourteen-year-old has a 9.7 iPad Pro

My four-year-old has two iPads: one that she uses daily and one that we have setup in her room for playing music at night.

When my new iPad arrives we’ll do some shifting; probably send an iPad to a family member or friend.

i have 3 in total. An iPad mini 2, an iPad Air 2 and lastly this nice new iPad Pro, all 128GB. I also have the hard to find Pencil. All are LTE versions

My lovely wife thinks I have one too many, and wants me to dump the mini.

What say you!

D
iPad Air 2, iPad Pro 10.5" x 2, iPad mini, iPad Pro 11" ... I have given kids the 2 10.5" and kept the mini for bedside use ... iPad Air 2 has a bad battery but sits in a cabinet not being used at the moment ... I don't have any use for it ... iPad Pro 11' is my workhorse!

I have two. Both 8th generation iPad but one is WiFi and cellular. The other one is now in storage. For me it does what I want it to do.

I have two, an iPad Mini and a 12.9” iPad Pro, and both are necessary for me. The Mini is used for carrying around home with me like a phone, for communication, quick tasks, and a lot of consumption (the light weight makes it easy to hold one handed for long periods). The Pro is used for heavier productivity with the keyboard and for drawing with the Pencil and occasionally as a second monitor with my Macbook.

only iPad i've ever owned was the original one back in 2010. i remember i went to the Genius Bar with it and there was a guy next to me laughing at me for buying it cause it was "just a big ipod touch".

over the years i bought for my mum the iPad Mini 3 and then the 2019 iPad. so i've used them a bit whenever she needed help with something.

i'm thinking of getting the new iPad Pro. definitely would get the 11" but can't decide how much storage i need. would be 256GB minimum. if i use it as my main device then i'd need 512GB-1TB. also, not sure if it's worth going for the 16GB RAM or 8GB.

Cellular iPad 1 & 2 and just bought a iPad Air 2 and my mind is blown how light and responsive it is. Could put it down when I bought it and started reading for hours

As of now, I have the 12.9 iPP cellular 256gb model from 2018, I use it for iCloud services (Photos and iMessage)... video and photo editing, typing up documents, along with entertainment apps as well. Practically irreplaceable, best Apple device ever created! Ordered 2021 Cellular 12.9 iPP 1TB model...but I plan on selling the 2018 model when the 2021 model arrives.

Are you not tempted to get the smaller 11". Do you travel with your 12.9? (when you can of course)

Oh my iPad Pro certainly goes where I go. As soon as the 12.9“ was introduced… I jumped on board, it took awhile for me to grow accustomed to taking it places.. but now, it becomes second nature. It’s a tool where my family and friends contact me through it. Although I have an Android.. I get calls and on rare cases I get text messages from it. But similar to those who carry an iPhone and Android phone.. I carry an iPad and Android phone.

We have four total, presently.

I have two, an iPad Pro 11 from 2020, and a 5th generation iPad, and use both of them daily

My wife has one, a 6th generation iPad that she uses constantly. I plan to get her one of the new 11" Pro models soon.

Somewhere we still have a 4th generation iPad that is almost 10 years old, first iPad we purchased. Haven't used it for a few years.

I traded in a 7th generation iPad when I purchased my 11" Pro, and returned a Mini 2 with cracked screen to Apple for recycling late last year.

added: I also have the magic keyboard, so getting another 11" Pro will allow us to use the keyboard with both of those iPads, something I'm grateful for in the new model (that it is compatible with previous one).

At present, just the iPad Mini 4 .... and waiting anxiously for a Mini 6 to come out. Started with an iPad 2 .... sent it off to a 4 year old great grandson a good while ago ... and it found a new loving home!

I have the Ipad Air 3 and Air 4. Both excellent ipads that serve my needs, and compliment my Iphone SE2 and 12 mini perfectly to offset heavier media usage.
